Classic Carpet specializes in all floor coverings for commercial and residential. We ship and receive our flooring direct from the manufacturer. Being a business member of the Floor Covering Association (FCA) network allows us to specialize in professional service and provide exceptional products, pricing and superior assistance to our customers.

Ted and the Classic Carpet staff keep updated on the latest trends and products by attending trade shows, industry meetings, and belonging to several floor covering associations. These methods help keep them on the cutting edge of styles, colors, production methods, and service.

History

Established in 1986.

Locally owned and operated by Ted Kuderko and family for over 29 years. Ted and the family have lived in Livingston County their entire lives and have raised their family to be part of this growing community as well. The expertise Ted brings to our guests’ projects is some of the best in the flooring business. The Classic Carpet experience will show you our staff cares about our customers and their homes as if they were our own.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Ted first started the Carpet Clinic, a carpet cleaning company, in 1967. Through this endeavor he has gained many connections in the local community. Once he saw a need for a new flooring business in the community, he decided to open Classic Carpet in 1986 in Howell. He operated both businesses for many years gaining valuable experience and a terrific reputation in both cleaning and selling flooring. Then, Ted made the decision to focus more time and energy on Classic Carpet and sold his carpet cleaning business to family to continue operating the great name he had started. Classic Carpet & Floor Coverings has been in several locations in the Livingston County area and has also owned a separate Classic Rugs & Décor store, which is now joined in the same building currently as Classic Carpet.

Ted is also an active volunteer and supporter of the community. He and his family are involved in several local business, church, and civic organizations.
