Great food! Every time we go here, the food is amazing. Nice small family owned place with quality food. Highly recommend if you are looking for a good meal for a decent price. A+++

I’ve stopped here 3 times trying to get good breakfast or lunch. I’ve tried the latkas, french toast and BLT. Every meal, I’ve walked away not able to eat it all because of the poor job cooking and bad quality of food, and still hungry. So, firstly, the two small latkas were completely flavorless. They tasted more of the burnt oil they put on the grill than anything else. In order to cover the flavor, I used apple sauce. Unfortunately, they give you a tablespoon or two in a dipping bowl, like you would order ranch in. So, not enough Apple sauce to cover up the bad flavor left me wondering why I ate here. I later tried again, so I had their French toast with bacon this time. The French toast was okay, but the bacon I ordered with it was hard as leather and overly salted — like they dumped a tablespoon of salt on it. So, I was disappointed again. I decided to give them one last try. I wanted to order their cinnamon raisin swirl French toast, but it was all out. So I ordered a BLT, hoping it would be good. At best, it was a subpar BLT, with the bacon coming in little chunks, hard, and overly salted. This was my last time in and I refuse to go again. Oh well, at least I get better service and better food down the street at a chain breakfast place…

This place was just sad and terrible. I’d rather eat at a Leo’s coney. The cook obviously didn’t know what they were doing. For brunch on a weekend, it definitely wasn’t packed, and I can now see why. I ordered a California omelet, thinking that was a safe choice. The avocado on top of it was completely browned. That was sad and seemed ridiculous that they’d even put that on a plate to serve. And the omelette itself was so overcooked & rubbery… and whatever the ingredients were inside of it were beyond distinguishable to my taste buds. Could only stomach a few bites. The hashbrowns weren’t even good. I honestly only enjoyed my white buttered toast and had to get another meal somewhere else immediately afterwards because it was all inedible. Someone else in my party ordered the eggs benedict and one of the eggs came out hard-boiled. Seriously. It was cooked all the way through. And the hollandaise looked more like thick brown mustard than actual freshly made hollandaise. Nothing on the table with 5 other people looked great except for the oatmeal. Just don’t eat here. Just move on to basically anywhere else.

Service was pretty bad. Food took forever. Waitress was clueless about gluten free when asked and was rude. Out of GF bread two weekends in a row. Food was good.

I tried the lasagna and it was pretty good. The coleslaw was good too. The dining area was very clean. The service was friendly and attentive.

This place brings in local ingredients when possible, as well as seasonal and weekly meal options. Definitely a gem to have here in Livingston county. They market themselves as more of a breakfast/lunch location, but I love swinging by here after work for a wholesome takeout dinner

Brunners is a great place to go if you are looking for good, quality food at a reasonable price. My favorite menu item has to be the Greek salad. The dressing is a strange, creamy pink dressing. But don’t let that unusual color deter you! It is the best Greek dressing I have ever had. I always ask for a little extra to dip my pita in after I’m done with my salad. It’s like a dessert! The homemade potato chips are a great side, and there are lots of great breakfast options as well! I will definitely be going back.

Most of what you see in the photos is not on the menu.(Omelets are real pics.) This is just a diner serving all Sysco products. I have the same junk in the cafeteria at work for a third of the price. Not«like work café» but exactly identical; low quality Sysco products. Ordered a medium cooked burger. The Tri Tip Bistro Burger in photo was not on menu. Dry, unseasoned, tasteless. Served with wilted lettuce, orange yellow tomato slice, full onion slice, pickle and chemical coated French Fries. Stated ½ lb but well shy of the ½ lb burgers elsewhere. Servers were great. She did warn me to order the breakfast, but I had breakfast six hours earlier. Probably OK for breakfast, if you don’t mind the low quality Sysco products.

Very nice looking place. Started with a bowl of lemon rice soup. a bit runny with minimal rice and no chicken, it was ok. Our dinners consisted of 5pc butterfly shrimp, lightly breaded and tasted good but, the roll was not fresh tasting and mashed potatoes(spec request) left much to be desired. My gf had the Mediterranean platter. she wasn’t impressed with the flavoring… didn’t care for the flavors of it all around and the chicken was just ok. Honestly, after taking a few bites, we probably should have just said thank you and left… I would say we didn’t prefer this place. Really had higher hopes for this place from the rating and comments.

Tried to eat here today. Got there twenty minutes after they opened and were greeted by cash piled next to a check near the register. Stood there for more than 5 minutes and no persons appeared for any reason. Place felt under managed so we left. Not sure why it even gets two stars

I searched for the restaurant because of all the outstanding reviews. I thought it would be downtown, but it was actually a bit further down the street than that. I got there around 1:15 but decided to have breakfast. I ordered the Florentine omelette with hash browns & rye toast. It looked lovely, presented on a pretty plate. The omelette had bacon and tomatoes all over it, spinach and ricotta cheese peeking out. But, it tasted just ok. Not outstanding, but not bad. It was a little wet for my taste, and not quite hot enough. I’d have sent it back to be heated a bit, but I was really hungry. The hashbrowns were crispy on top but a bit greasy. I don’t understand why most restaurants only crisp the top; it shouldn’t be hard to flip them over for a minute & crisp the bottom as well. They do have wifi, but it’s not open; you have to ask for the code — which happens to be their phone number. I would consider going there again, but I don’t think I would seek it out specifically.

Ate breakfast, was really good and the wait staff was awesome. If ask for something they didn’t just say no or I can’t. They said yes I will make it happen. How often do you find that. Awesome. I will go back and I have three times.

Been here at least 5 more times since I wrote the original review and my positive opinion for this establishment, it’s owners, staff and quality/variety of food continues to grow. This remains my staple go-to feel good restaurant in Howell.

Found the restaurant on Unilocal; read the reviews and decided to try it out. Unfortunately we were disappointed in our food. The salmon cakes were very dry, as well as the mashed potatoes. The chicken in the cob salad was burnt and lastly the french onion soup was extremely salty. I get that it’s a slaty soup to begin with but this was ridiculous. I wasn’t expecting a gourmet meal but I wasn’t expecting it to be this bad. However to point out the good in our visit, our waitress was nice and the pretzel appetizer was good.

It’s hard to find a place that has good breakfast and good service… this place has both. I had the Florentine omelette and it was great! The hash browns were alas very good, cooked just right.

This review is on behalf of my whole family and I… This place is a GEM! I’m from the area but moved to L. A several years ago and every time I visit home, Brunner’s is a must. My parents still go almost every Friday night and send me pictures of their meals off of the awesome Dinner Special’s menu. You can tell the head chef really takes pride in what he does and manages to come up with some really creative/delicious dishes. The staff is always sweet as well. I’ve taken my baby to the restaurant on several occasions and they are always very kind and patient with us. I seriously don’t have a bad thing to say about this place. I hope more people realize what a great place it is. It would be a total shame and disappointment to see it go down!

My husband and I went to Brunner’s for the first time today. We had breakfast. They serve breakfast all day. We were promptly seated. The service was fairly quick, especially considering it was a busy Sunday morning. I ordered the veggie omelette with hash browns. The omelette was full of fresh veggies and the hash browns were nice and crispy. My husband ordered eggs cooked over medium. The eggs he received were cooked over easy. If you are looking for a typical Coney Island style breakfast, this is your place. There was nothing special or great about the place that stuck out to me, and the menu was very ordinary. Food was good and service was quick!

This is a good little breakfast spot. Big portions of well-prepared food, good coffee, and friendly service means hubby and I will likely return next time we’re in the neighborhood.
