I hate to give poor reviews, but I must this time … for the safety of all of us. I saw Dr. Z two years ago and was given a mild script for driving glasses. My 16 yr old son was told at the DMV that he needed glasses for his permit. I raced him to Dr. Z and told him this. He did an exam and said he could use a pair but not necessary, it was a weak script. Well, as his mother I said I would definitely insist he use glasses driving. Dr. Z actually walked up to my son after the appt in the hallway and said to him, «don’t listen to your mom… she might get you glasses but you DON’T need them to drive.» Well, we went for his real driving test and FAILED the vision test completely. The lady said she had to put«corrective lenses required» on his license. How incompetent, and unprofessional of Dr. Z to tell my 16 yr old son«privately!» that even if his mom got him glasses he didn’t need them. He is a MINOR and learning to drive in Houston, and obviously needed them if he failed the DMV!!! We are going to find a much more competent dr and start over with tests… his script might not even be correct.

Dr. Zuckerbrod was by far the WORST doctor I’ve ever had the displeasure of seeing in my lifetime. That’s saying a lot since I’ve seen many, many doctors in my life. The facilities were old and outdated. The worst part of the visit was with the Dr. himself. He didn’t introduce himself, he just came in, sat down at his desk, looked at my file and then started the exam. He had horrible bedside manner. Didn’t bother to ask me anything. Actually, he didn’t speak to me the entire time, other than saying, «look up, look down» etc. When he was done, he started writing in my file at the desk and then just told me «We’re done». He didn’t even bother to look at me! He just kept on writing in the file as he told me that. What a rude SOB. I will NEVER see him again, and I advise anyone else looking for an Ophthalmologist to steer clear of this guy.
