Awww man! Why they had to close this shop! This place was awesome, the drinks were tasty and this place was the best to kill time. I used to hang out here with some friends for hours with the board/card games they provided. I hope the same people open the business again, they were very friendly and they know how to make the best Ice Milk Drink.

The milk tea here is different from others in the Chinatown area. No, not because of their huge cups. But their taste is actually different from other places as well. When it’s cold outside I like to come here for their hot milk tea. It just hits the spot!

It’s very quiet in here and I’ve never seen it super crowded. There is a language barrier at times depending on who’s working but they’ve always been nice and helpful. I’m not a fan of their teas because they taste a little off to me but their green bean milk tea is good!

I’ve been here twice now, and I find XYZ a pretty neat place. It is very open and spacious with quite a few board games available for people to use. The main reason I visited XYZ was to get the«fat cup» boba drink. I don’t really know what I was thinking though; the shape of a cup doesn’t really affect the taste of the drink. And as «unique» and«cool» as the fat cup is, it’s just gimmicky. Also, it’s impossible to fit into a cup holder, so you really have to finish your drink inside the shop. The tapioca pearls are pretty decent and have a nice texture. However, I’m not a huge fan of their milk tea; it was just too artificial tasting. Overall, XYZ is okay, but I wouldn’t go out of my way.

Cute spot to hang out with friends or to study, in the company of a fat cuppa boba drank. DRINKS(4⁄5): The #5(ice milk w/egg pudding, honey boba, and caramel) is great if you have a sweet tooth. I love that combination of droppers. The #10(rose milk tea) is also a good choice. The rose flavor is definitely distinguishable, but it’s not overwhelming. Honey boba could be a little softer but otherwise it’s good. Do ask for reduced sweetness though, because I find that with honey boba added, their drinks become a tad too sweet. Don’t be scared to ask for reduced ice either. Portions are very big – I get full after finishing a small size cup. Be forewarned, especially if you decide to come here after a meal. AMBIANCE/SERVICE(4⁄5): Minimalist decoration and furniture with a dash of memes. Not sure whose idea that was but it stands out from other boba places, so I can dig it. There is free Wi-Fi if you want to do work, and board games if you want to just kick back with friends. Ask for a stamp card! 1 free drink after 10 drinks. VERDICT(4⁄5): I would frequent this place more if I lived closer. Solid 4-star in my book as of now, until I try more of their menu.

Went back to this place after months of not coming… The first thing i noticed was a new person working there. She was very kind but had much trouble taking our order and us trying to understand her. We ordered to different kinds of drinks one milk tea and one winter melon. Took quite a while for the same lady that took our order to make it. Worst part was the taste of the drinks. They were both almost the same taste. The drinks had also no ice in them and the tapioca had no flavor to it. I would never go there again after this.

For these type of milk tea and tapioca drinks, this shop is the best bang for your buck. Not only are the drink sizes huge, the quality of both the tea and and jelly/tapioca is very good. If you are in the mood for drinking a good amount of milk tea, this is the best place. (They also have unique items not seen at other similar establishments, like green tea boba and they actually put a real/entire lychee in your lychee tea)

The bf & I stumbled across this place as we were strolling around HK4. I was on a bit of a quest looking for a boba shop that makes lavender milk tea. Low & behold, XYZ delivered!(unlike the other 3 – 4 boba shops in the entire mall) The prices are very reasonable & the drinks come in these over sized cute fat cups!(25 oz &33 oz) That was a great selling point for me I got the small & it was a generous portion. The boba was delicious & fresh too :3 Then there’s the ambience of the café — very upscale modern décor & you cannot go wrong with favorite internet rage comic characters spotted throughout the shop :) I think I found my new favorite fix :9

I finally made my way to XYZ located in an obscure corner of the Hong Kong Supermarket shopping strip. My sister and I both had the #5 drink, despite the fact that that’s not what she ordered but we didn’t make a big deal of it. The #5 is XYZ’s Ice milk drink with egg pudding, honey boba, and caramel. Overall the drink was good, the egg pudding was different than other egg puddings I’ve had and I wouldn’t call myself a fan but other than that they were your average drinks for lower than average prices(always a plus) in cute fat cups! The service on the other hand is another story. I believe there were two people working there that day, one person making the drinks and the other person, running to the back to get the drinks, working the cash register, and struggling to understand what people were ordering/saying. He also had trouble counting our money/giving us change which resulted in a longer than anticipated wait for our drinks and getting the wrong order. I will probably return if I happen to be in the area but I will unlikely go out of my way to get boba from XYZ, the way I do for my other boba places.

Word of warning — it’s in the very back corner of the plaza, so it can be easy to miss if you don’t know exactly where it is. That being said, the drinks are pretty good. I ordered the ice milk drink with coconut and honey boba, along with green bean add-on. Exactly spot-on, and they give very generous portions of toppings. The boba is also cooked very well, just the right amount of chewiness without being too soggy. Only complaint was the speed of the service — we were literally the only people in the shop, and it took them almost 15 minutes to get our drinks out to us. Otherwise, very happy with the quality of the drinks, and the décor is absolutely adorable!

Cute fat cups and chewy boba… but overall it was just way too sweet. I had the ice milk with boba and egg pudding. Maybe I will stick with the milk tea next time and see how that goes. About $ 4 a cup… I was thankful for their BOGO ½ deal otherwise I would think it’s a tad expensive from the local joints.

Came here 15 minutes after they opened. The inside was a sight to see. It had nice furniture but I found the decorations pretty random? There was«I love you» written in different languages on the wall, and a cardboard cutout with England stuff lol. Then there were troll faces everywhere I looked, with the title«XYZ drink shop»?? Lol. but I can overlook that. We ordered drinks with boba but then we were told the boba wasn’t ready yet, I was so disappointed! I looooove me some boba. But overall the drinks were pretty good. I ordered the Mixed Fruit tea and my sis ordered the iced milk w/strawberry, egg pudding, and caramel(subst. for boba) which was delicious. Mine had fresh fruit and wasn’t that sweet at all! Despite the boba situation, the drinks were good and big, the cashier was nice, and it had a nice atmosphere. Definitely will come back when I visit Texas again.

I found out about this place through seeing a fellow Unilocaler check-in here. To my surprise, drinks are served in fat cups here! First, the location of XYZ is convenient to get banh mi sandwiches; there is a bakery that sells them in the Hong Kong Mall just next door. According to the menu, some drinks are seasonal, i.e., only in the summer or winter. From my overview of the menu items, there are some uncommon flavors offered here. Being fairly new, the inside was clean and gives a welcoming note to stay, sit and enjoy a drink. A definite plus here is the option to get drinks with less sugar by quarters(e.g., 25% less, 50% less, etc). Service was great – staff was helpful, patient and friendly. Finally, I appreciated and took advantage of the special of buying two and getting the third drink free.

I’ve never had time to actually sit and hangout here. But they have an assortment of games. PLUS A ONEPIECEDECAL I’ve only gotten the Taro Smoothie and Ice Milk with Pudding and Boba. The Taro was gooooddd. Not too much ice, which I like. The ice milk was sweet and I liked it. But the amount of pudding given seems little and I prefer the boba from Honey Bee. But overall, I haven’t been disappointed by this place. Plus the staff is super nice(:

Their drinks have improved! Got the lavender milk tea with grass jelly, and it was great! One of the best I’ve had here in Houston. Mom had the avocado smoothie with lychee jelly and she was very satisfied with it. What I like after months of coming here is they have stamp cards(buy 5 get 1 free) and how they have regular cups if you are on the go with your car. The workers are very friendly and were very helpful whenever I asked them questions about the drinks. Place has free wifi so its a good place to chill or study. Theres a TV too, I hanged out for a bit watching the world cup(worker was nice to change to the right channel for me) Overall, I’m happy with the improvement. However, parking is such an issue since many ppl come to shop at Hong Kong 4. Thats the only downside to me now.

I bookmarked this place for the longest time and didn’t realize it was in HK4! It’s located on the far right corner close to Ocean Palace. I was surprised when I walked in the place was so clean! Definitely can’t say the same thing with the rest of HK4 though. There’s a few tables to hang out and they have a large menu. I asked the cashier for suggestions since it was my first time. He recommended milk tea at first but I asked for another suggestion. He suggested the fruit tea. I tried the regular with passion fruit jelly. They have tons of different jelly so ask for a list! They do those huge tub sized cups which might make these drinks more expensive. The cashier was super nice and inspected my drink firsthand. There was a watermelon seed and he told me don’t freak out. LOL. The fruit tea was SOREFRESHING. Honestly probably the best… it was the perfect sweetness when I first tried it. The second time around it was a little bit too sweet. I don’t really like the location since it’s in a really busy shopping center where parking can be a pain. But it’s worth it for a quality drink!

Ok so I decided to venture out in search of this place before my vacation ended. It is located in the same parking lot as Ocean Palace & is tucked away in the far right corner. It is very inviting, bright, clean & spacious. They have a good selection of fresh teas, flavored teas, yogurt drinks, smoothies, slushes, milk teas(both hot & cold), iced coffees & shaved ices. They offer two sizes of drinks: small(huge) & large(gargantuous), lol. I was in awe at the flavors offered that my usual fave place does not offer & opted to try their small Iced Honey Milk Tea with Honey Boba(yes, honey!) which came out to $ 4.44.(Oh yeah, the drink did NOT fit in any of my drink holders either, lol.) Holy cow, this is amazing!!! It is sweet, delicate & so refreshing; I am ready to make the trek back out & try another flavored milk tea. Another awesome thing is their frequent flyer card; you get a free drink after 5 drinks. I like this even better than my fave place where you have to spend $ 40 in order to get only a $ 4 discount. I only wish XYZ was a little closer to me, but it is SO totally worth the drive.

This place is awesome and the price is just right! I came here during their«Winter Hot Drink Special» and got the hot milk tea($ 3.25) and the cold milk tea. Other places like Kung Fu Tea charges almost $ 5 for milk tea and if you ask for an extra empty cup(to share) they charge you! This place is legit and the milk tea is good! Plus it comes in these short/wide cups like in California. The theme here is obviously memes. They have all sorts of memes everywhere and they even sell shirts, hats, and cups with these memes. It makes the atmosphere more fun and«hip» with the younger crowd. They also have a small lounge area in the back with games like Connect 4. It looked fun to hang out but I just came here in a group for the drinks. I’m definitely coming back again and getting their milk tea again. This time though I might add less sugar because I don’t like anything too sweet.
