Wolfe’s Cleaners

I would rather give two and a half stars as they are not horribel, but they are better than other palaces in the Heights.
It is definatly not the cheapest or the fastest. I sometimes come back with stains on shirts or stains I have told them about are not fixed. However If I bring back they do fix any stains and do not charge me.
I have never had rude customer service, but they are not over exicted either. But who would be working in a dry cleaner? They are cordial and nice. Same group of ladies have been there forever. I have never encountered a male, but maybe he is gone now or works different days?
The building is older but it has been around for decades, I am sure they could use a refurb but I am not sure how that would work without closing the place down. They are on a supreem land in the Heights so I am sure it would cost a fortune to do.
Because I give them two star, all others in the heights are a one or a zero, so this is better than nothing.

The friendly neighborhood dry cleaners. They do a good job and the customer service is always top shelf. The neighborhood in which they operate has more than a few difficult to please customers. I wouldn’t put too much stock in the complaints.

No joke. I brought in a suit, two shirts, and two ties the other day. Ended up one tie short.
My wife recommend this place, because she had used them before with no problems. She worked at a dry cleaners in college, so I trust her opinion. Being new to the Heights, I figured it would be as good as anywhere else. My experience was not as good as hers.
The place looks terrible on the outside, which should have scared me off, but I went in, set my things on the counter for the guy. He examines my clothes and asks,“when do you want them done?” Usually when I drop off dry cleaning, I’m told how soon the clothes will be ready. The answer to the question of when I want my clothes done is naturally going to be as soon as possible. I said I’d need them by Friday. The guy hands me a ticket, and says they’ll be ready Friday at 5:00pm.
I put the ticket in my pocket, run a few other errands, and go home. When I take the ticket out of my pocket, I notice there isn’t an itemized list of my items on there.
Obviously this is frightening, because I now have no proof of what items of mine they have. Shame on me (but not really) for not looking at the ticket, but shame on the guy who didn’t give me an itemized list like he’s supposed to. I guess, just by force of habit, I didn’t inspect the ticket.
After having been to other dry cleaners many, many times, and having always gotten an itemized ticket every single time, I guess I wrongly assumed that the guy wouldn’t be enough of a jerk to do that to me.
My wife told me to just make sure everything is there when I return to pick my things up.
Friday afternoon, I’m at home cooking, and my wife offers to pick up the clothes for me on her way home.
Saturday morning, as I’m getting ready to leave for a wedding in Austin, I realize the tie is missing. Sure, I have other ties, but it was a very nice and expensive tie.
Not the end of the world, FWP, I know. And I realize mistakes happen.
BUT, first time I go to this place, they took my favorite tie.
Don’t take your clothes to Wolfe’s if you plan on keeping them.

Love the convenient drive-​thru, fast service and 2-​for-​1 Thursdays! Alterations are reasonably priced and good quality.
Only complaint? They lost one of my garments and didn’t say a peep until I called to inquire about it. Once they found it I had to pay full price and received no apologies. I understand these things happen, but when you inconvenience loyal customers — cut them a break.
Overall though, great job Wolfe’s. You’ve got fast, quality cleaning & alterations down to an art.

I have used Wolfes for several years but have had enough of their poor services. Over this time they have lost a shirt and a pair of pants. The final straw was when they ruined five shirts by what appears to be overheated pressing resulting in cardboard stiff shirts that I have re washed, soaked and taken to other dry cleaners but cannot return them to normal.

Have been going here for a while, but might start going somewhere else. Pretty overpriced, but they haven’t ever lost or ruined any of my clothes. The last time I went to pick up, the girl told me I had picked up my clothes already (she even showed me a credit card receipt with my name on it). I kept telling her that they still had my clothes unless they gave them to the wrong person, and she wouldn’t believe me. Finally she went back to the computer and argued with another woman for a bit… About five minutes later she came back to the window with my clothes. She never apologized or even explained the situation. Just told me how much I owed. Not a traumatic experience, but pretty off putting.

Thought I would try this place out after just moving to The Heights, very disappointed. My boyfriend really likes this place but my experience was different. I dropped my clothes off on Thursday for their Buy 1 get 1 free deal. I was assisted by a not so friendly guy. Next day service is always great, however when I went to pick up my clothes I got another non-​friendly person. I dropped of a button up shirt to be ironed only and white pants to be dry cleaned and ironed and my bill was $ 7.31! I asked if my order applied to the buy 1 get 1 free and it didn’t b/​c both items have to be dry clean and of the same item, not different. Very misleading advertisement! I have gotten 5 items dry cleaned and iron for less than that at Clean-​Smart on Shepard/​Washington with better communicating staff. Looking for another cleaners again, sigh.

The clothes had a distinct and unpleasant smell after I had them cleaned. However, I could deal with the faint scent in light of their 2 for 1 deal on Thursdays.
The Thursday deal could not overcome the fact that they misplaced my clothes and did not contact me when they found them (after the manager explicitly told me they would contact me when/​if the clothes were found). I had to contact the store only to show up to collect my missing clothing and not be offered any sort of compensation or discounted price.
The customer service is exceedingly poor and do not seem to care for customers as individuals.

Do not go to this cleaners. They are very unorganized. The first time I took my clothes there they admitted they lost 3 shirts. They told me to go home and look through to see what I was missing. I did and I came back several times to tell them what I found was missing. They had me fill out 2 reports of what I was missing. Every time I would call or stop by to speak to the manager they didn’t have the report or know what I was talking about. I am now out $ 85 for a shirt I only got to wear twice. Beware when you go here that you know exactly what you take and look through your clothes before you leave.

This place has all was seem professional and warm to their customers. Thursday are 50% off, which I deem a godsend. On other normal days they are a bit pricey, but so far the way they treat your cloths, it’s worth the bit extra.

Pros:
–Ready the next day for pick up.
–Took all the stains out.
Cons:
–They burned my buttons off from the cuff on one of my sleeves.
–CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Went here after one of my co-​workers recommended it. Was not greeted when I walked in. They definitely need to work on their customer service. I was satisfied when I picked up my clothes but then I noticed the buttons on my sleeve had been burned off. Debating if I should go back and give them a try. Definitely insect your clothes before and after you pick them up.

I called yesterday to see if they clean couch cushions. They said yes. Today I rushed home from work so I could make it there before they close. I walked in with the cushions and the women at the counter says «no». She did not address me except with a no. I said excuse me. She said «we don’t clean cushions». They were extremely rude and wasted my time.

Arrived on a flight, suits wrinkled beyond a standard overnight hang. Called Wolfe’s and they set me up with a rapid press. Entering their shop, they greeted me and helped solve my problem quickly in under 1.5 hours — and they were very much busy when I arrived but they made room for me. Will return again most certainly. Friendly people behind the counter make all the difference to my experience.

Really good service! I have been taking my clothes to Wolfe’s for over a year now and they consistently do a good job of laundering and dry-​cleaning. Staff are always friendly and efficient. Clothes are ready when they say they will be. Hours are also convenient. Great example of a local business that should be supported!

With their Thursday 2-​for-​1 deal and the 20% off coupons you can find on the back of most Heights Kroger receipts you gotta work pretty hard to pay full price here. I’ve always been satisfied with everything I’ve taken to Wolfe’s Cleaners!

2 for 1 dry cleaning on Thursdays! I wash my lab coats for work all the time at home albeit without bleach, and the collar and wrists still get dingy. Parked in their little lot on a Thursday morning and walked up to their drive-​through. I probably should’ve just walked into the place, but the window was right there! The staff was friendly. My items were ready for pick up the following evening. My coats looked almost brand-​spanking new. I probably will return with my wool items at the end of winter… on a Thursday, of course.

They do an ok job on the dry cleaning but the last time I went in the plastic bags had a dark sooty type of material all over them. I had several white dress shirts in one bag.
When I asked about it one lady just shrugged her shoulders and told me not to worry. I didn’t like the response and started taking the bags off to inspect my clothes and got a look I disbelief from her. Sure enough, this stuff was all over the collars of my shirts…
The staff told me that it’s pretty normal here for that. In assuming it has to do with the grease/​lubrication system of the tracks that hold the finished clothes.
I’m not going back. For one their handling of the situation was terrible and two for the price I paid I expected more… if I wanted poorly cleaned clothes and terrible service I could go to a 1.25 cleaner

This place is great and has saved me a lot of money! They offer 2 for 1 Thursdays and its great! There is a drive-​thru if you dont feel like getting out of your car.
SUPER friendly people and fast turn around.
HIGHLY recommended!

We took several shirts and slacks here and they come back perfect. I really love the building and that it is very close to Antidote. They also have a drive thru where you can drop off or pick up your garments – I’d personally rather use my legs but to each their own.

The service here is great! I also took in some overdue clothes. They got most stains out (the ones they couldn’t, I understood why)! They were very friendly and I would go back again.
They are kind of expensive but I used the 50% off for new customers!
Tip: Thurs are half off!
