Wild on Wax and its owner D’Lesa have moved locations and is no longer located on Gray Street. I love T’Resa! She makes you feel so welcome and comfortable. What more is there to say if the waxer makes you feel at home when you’re waxing intimate areas of your body? Totally recommend her!
The parking is a bit tricky though, especially as they share it with the salon. If you are lucky to park in front, be careful backing out which leads directly to a somewhat busy street!

TLDR — this place is the gold standard. Nothing in Houston compares. T’Resa is super professional and makes it a point to make sure you are comfortable and getting the best possible result, every time.
Okay… now for the longer version:
I don’t normally write reviews, but after going to a number of different places around Houston and other parts of the world, I had to right a review. When you talk about waxing, you are talking about a treatment you don’t want done wrong… because when it’s done wrong you are SO screwed.
If you are a dude and looking to get a wax, this is the place. I’ve been to a few other places, including the Wax Spot, and was not only disappointed, but hurting afterwords, and then super unhappy just a few days later when I found out that they didn’t remove the hair, they just broke it off.
My first time here with T’Resa, she did a short pre-​consultation to find out what I wanted, which was full back and all that jazz as well. She explained everything about hair growth and what she was going to do, made sure to prepare the skin (something other places don’t seem to do well) and then waxed. It was easy and was over before I knew it. Afterwords, she explained aftercare really well, which is super important.
T’Resa is the reason I keep coming back. So… now everyone knows I wax, but they also know the best place to go in Houston. I travel a lot, and rather than risk getting waxed elsewhere, I make sure and go here.
TLDR — this is the best place. And… if you are cool, you may get an adult beverage before you session. Make sure you tell her you read my review! :p

I LOVE T’Resa. I’ve moved to DFW for school, but will see her for a Brazilian whenever I’m back in town. She is friendly and personable, making the procedure completely comfortable. She always takes her time to clean up the stray hairs that the wax didn’t pick up & will even remove in-​growns, if you have any. This is always refreshing as so many waxing salons focus on quantity of clients in a day rather than quality of their work & end up doing a shoddy job. I always leave T’Resa feeling completely clean & smooth.

I LOVE WOW!!! I have been going to see D’Lesa for years now and I am honestly disappointed in myself that this is the first review I am leaving for her. She is absolutely AMAZING!!! I have been through the «bargain» deals and the trendy boutiques, mainly just out of curiosity, but ultimately ended up disappointed for one reason or another (ingrown hairs, rudeness, ect.) at any other places. Now I know I will never trust anyone else when it comes to my hair removal. I started out going to see D’Lesa for the Brazilian wax and now I have recently added on the lower legs. I leave her feeling silky smooth and I love it! WOW is a cute place in the Montrose area and she will great you with a smile from the moment you walk in the door and have you laughing and relaxed during your entire visit. And I am also super excited since she just told me that she is opening a new location in Clearlake!!! Can’t wait to see the new place!!!

So I went to Wild on Wax and had a great first experience but my second time going was terrible! I had scheduled in advance at my last appointment, and confirmed the date and time so. When I got there the door was locked and no one showed up! I tried calling, no one answered the phone. I even left a voicemail and no one had called me back to apologize or reschedule. Seems like a very disorganized and unprofessional place. I will not be going back nor would I recommend wild on wax to anyone.

I had been telling myself that I want to start waxing for ages and I got tired of putting it off. A friend suggested that I try «hard blue wax» because it sticks to the hair and not to your skin. She helped me find this place and I was able to make an appointment for last Thursday (on Wednesday!).
The place is cute and really clean and Theresa (I think that is how her name is spelled) handled my wax. I had never had a Brazilian wax before and she totally put me at ease. She said we could start with a regular bikini wax and if it was too much for me we could stop whenever I needed.
The process was relatively painless for me. (I honestly felt like getting the baby hairs near my scalp threaded was more painful than this, lol) My waxer was mad chatty which I didn’t mind. She helped put me at ease and was really sweet.
I am so happy with the result and she even told me that I handled my first ever wax, «like a badass!».
I highly recommend them for those who have never had a wax before and are a little scared. I’d also recommend them for those of you who probably go elsewhere. Now that I’m a client here, I can’t imagine going anyplace else.

LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Can’t say it enough. I agree completely with the other commenters that this is as close to painless as you can get. Theresa does a great job and actually cares if you’re comfortable. Not to mention she’s meticulous about cleanliness in the facility and your wax. Since they don’t have a regular receptionist the ladies take turns answering the phone, but are so popular that they can sometimes miss a call. I’ve never had a problem with getting a prompt return phone call. And they’ve bent over backwards in the past to work me in on short notice. The location is great, the facility is comfortable and they’ve never been anything but delightful with me. Needless to say, I’ve become a devoted regular.

Let me start by saying they do an EXCELLENT JOB of waxing here. My issue is with the quality of service I have expirienced. Making an appointment is a giant pain because they NEVER answer the phone, and good luck getting a call back.
D’Lesa is a really nice person, I think? But she can get a little too personal in the conversation and instead of feeling relaxed I ended up wondering if she was just going to turn around and talk about me to her other clients as she talked about them to me.
The waxing is as close to painless as you can get, but it’s just not worth the hassel.

As a man who gets manscaped (back), it’s really difficult to find the right place that is going to make you feel comfortable while not charging you an arm and a leg just because you are male. The wax place I used in Dallas recommended Wild on Wax, and I can say this is the best place I’ve ever been to. My wax specialist is T’Resa and she’s is phenomenal. She makes you feel as comfortable as you possibly can, and I like that the conversation she has with you keeps you relaxed. The ladies at Wild on Wax are very thorough, and they make sure you are walking out with the best possible wax. I like their attention to detail and making sure you are a satisfied customer. No place else has done anything remotely similar to this type of care.
The ladies at Wild on Wax absolutely love their craft when it comes to waxing, and I can guarantee you will see that.

I usually wax myself, but have gotten too busy and too lazy when I’m not busy to do it. I had initially had an appt (which turned into 3 different appts) with another place, but after the stress I experienced with her I decided that’s the person and the negative energy I want around my vajayjay. Good thing those appts fell through because i called W.O.W. next and they had one availability left on the same day. Tresa took care of me. She’s super professional and skilled without making you feel tense or uncomfortable. The conversation was great and was completely natural. I was in and out in 30 mins for a Brazilian. It was more than the place I was suppose to go to ($ 60 vs. $ 35) but the vibe was way better and she did a fantastic job. Totally worth the dough.

This place is amazing! The wax is all natural bees wax with blue dye and really doesn’t hurt! I highly recommend going there! I felt so comfortable. I will NEVER go back to the past place (which I won’t mention) ever again. Thanks D’Lesa!

I have been getting waxed since I was 18 years old and DREADED it every time because it was so painful. 7 years later, my dreams came true when I stepped foot into Wild on Wax.
First of all, waxing is not entirely painless, everyone knows that, but when cheap wax is used in the most «sensitive» of areas it turns into a nightmare that you can’t wake up from for the next 10 minutes.
D’Lesa and T’Resa have completely immersed themselves in their passion with waxing and it shows from their knowledge about skin, hair and waxing to the care they take in giving each customer excellent service. They use the highest quality of wax from Belgium that was selected for the humidity level in Houston to give you the best wax and smoothest skin you could ever ask for.
Since I have been going here, the waxing process has been less painful. MUCH less due to the quality of wax.
D’Lesa and T’Resa understand skin as if they were dermatologists. They know what type of hair grows which way and how fast, the phases it grows in, how skin reacts to certain things, these ladies have it down to an art! It’s always an enjoyable experience when I go there because there is never a dull moment, you completely forget what you’re there for, even if you have never had a wax and are a little embarrassed about having someone else see you naked from the waist down, you’ll be put at ease with T’resa’s warmth and D’Lesa’s hilarious sense of humor.
They even do facials, chemical peels and skin care.
Do yourself a favor and visit these wonderful ladies, you’ll be hooked!

My first professional waxing experience and I will be going back for more. I went in to have my back & shoulders done and was attended to by D’Lisa. Great technique, great personality, and great looking lol!!!
I definitely recommend this establishment and her if you just so happen to find yourself in need of some manscaping.

So, my bestie and I wanted to get ‘silky-​smooth’ for some upcoming events and we decided to go to this place to get the job done. My bestie, Ashley, had never gotten anything waxed before while I am no stranger to the experience. I have to say, she is a bit of a worry-​wart and was a little scared. I did my best to calm her down but once she went into the room without me, she was on her own. Not to worry! The friendly staff eased her fears and then proceeded with the hair removal. Halfway through, they discovered that her sensitive skin couldn’t handle the wax and instead of trying to rip it out over and over again, they stopped and explained the situation.
I left feeling as smooth as a baby’s butt and even though I had to put up with some pain I would recommend this place to anyone. They make you feel relaxed and as comfortable as can be with a bright light focused on your woo-​woo.

I’m not going to lie, I’ve tried to wax myself. HUGE mistake! I figured If i applied multiple strips to different areas before ripping, there would be no turning back.
I had enough courage to rip off 2 strips before whimpering (eyes full of tears), and shamefully and very slowly peeling off my 3^rd and 4^th strip — trying my very hardest to not pull out another single hair.
I recently made a trip to Houston, to visit a good friend of mine. In desperate need of a partner in crime, I put my horrifying memories behind me, and convinced her to get a Brazilian with me.
After researching for a VERY extended amount of time, we agreed to go to Wild On Wax. I consider this the best choice I’ve made in a very long time. Ripping out hair in such a sensitive, personal area is serious business!!!
Okay, so down to the nitty gritty… anyone who says that waxing is painless is FULL OF SHIT! It does not feel good, to say the least. Sure, sure… I hear that it hurts much less after your first time, but never-the-less…pulling out hair isn’t exactly a pleasant feeling. On the other hand, it was not terrible, as I had feared. Really, I even dare to say, «it wasn’t THAT bad.» Honestly!
About me: If something hurts, I laugh (odd, I know); if something is unbearable, I cry. I was prepared to cry, like my «first» experience. I laughed.
Metaphorically speaking, D’Lisa played the roll of a waxing lobbyist! She made me a believer! She is knowledgeable, down to earth, comforting, funny, charming, and a little rock-​n-​roll. Best of all, she’s quick! Honestly, I trusted her completely with my private lady parts!!!
I was curious about waxing in general, so I asked her a few questions… She explained why she uses a blend of 2 types of blue wax, primarily Brazilian Blue Hard Wax. I’m no expert, but it had to do with the humidity in Houston… and the amount of oil vs. paraffin. I’m telling you, she has really done her research!
Anyway, she went above and beyond to make my first REAL waxing experience as comfortable, quick, and (dare I say) delightful, as possible. Additionally, since I’m not a Houston frequenter, she offered to help me find a quality waxing place in Austin. I can really tell that she is passionate about the business she runs, and is driven to educate and enlighten first-​time, ignorant waxees… like myself :)
If the Austin gig doesn’t work out, I think I’ll be making a trip down to Houston for a visit to W.O.W every once and again. She’s that good.
A few things to remember… Don’t be too nervous. Have a good attitude about going in and getting you privates (and other parts, if you choose) tidied up. If you go in there with a positive attitude, it is bound to be a much more rewarding/​comfortable experience!

FANTASTIC! what a great first experience with these girls… D’Lesa and T’resa are just two of the most fun sisters i have ever met… they kept me entertained the whole time. My legs have never felt that smooth in forever… You’ll have a blast with them… and their wax is just amazing… don’t even feel it… so gentle…
