Vintage Cleaners

Not sure what happened here. I’ve been here before and loved it. There was a middle aged woman who was great. Never had issues. Maybe it was the time of day I came in before. I switched it up with a crazy travel schedule this week and needed one item hemmed. I was clear I could do it myself if they couldn’t get it back by Friday morning (Tuesday evening drop off). They said they could. When I arrived at 9:30 today, they said it won’t be available until Saturday. I got upset and I’m 15 minutes late leaving for a flight waiting for a blazer I need for a business trip I’m leaving on. It won’t be pressed, so I guess I’ll be doing that once I arrive at my destination. The young women I dealt with when dropping off were less than professional. The blonde one was nice. The dark haired one that was just chilling in the back was less than helpful today and during drop off. I won’t be coming back.

I have taken several items here and normally no issues, but yesterday’s pick up was different. I had nice bright black jeans I needed dry cleaned. She asked if I wanted a crease. I said no. Just dry cleaned because I don’t want them to fade with an iron. She assured me it would not fade and its ironed with steam. She was wrong they faded so bad they have white all around the stitching. Pissed. They ruined my nice jeans! Will never take black clothing there again.

When we moved to a neighborhood in Vintage Park, I kept using my old dry cleaners, because I knew them. This time I decided to try out the place at the front of the neighborhood, Vintage Cleaners. We have a lot of dry cleaning done weekly, and I wanted something more convenient to the house. I never even got a chance to give this place my business because the girl who was supposed to be in front, was sitting in the back smoking a cigarette. She watched me walk in, and we made eye contact multiple times. I waited a few minutes, but instead of putting out her cigarette, she kept smoking and looked back down at her phone. Nope.

I had a chore for them when I dropped off my down comforter.
They did a GREAT job!
They not only got the spot out but it looks whiter than when I originally bought it!
I will definitely be returning.

I’ve been here twice and both times I was greeted with a hello and smile. It’s closer to my apt than the other dry cleaners I was using. It seems they are a slightly bit more pricier though.

If I could give no stars that’s exactly what I would give! Brought a $ 120 pair of brand new Miss Me jeans in to be hemmed and starched. They melted all the embellishments on my brand new pair of jeans and told me they could give me a 5% discount on my next order! After looking at the rest of the articles, they also ruined two shirts that on hand hand tailored in Thailand. DO NOT bring your clothes here if you have anything valuable or don’t want your articles of clothing ruined!!! WORST DRY CLEANERS RVER!!!

I thought this was a good place until this morning. I’ve been using this cleaner for 6 months with relatively few issues. However, this morning the young woman, Elizabeth, who works there, (dtr. of the owner) was ignoring several customers as she engaged in what appeared to be an extended personal conversation with no recognition that we were waiting several minutes for her to help us. When I suggested that we would like to be waited on I was told that she would talk on the phone if she chose to and I that I was was to take my business elsewhere as she didn’t want it. Well as we know there are dry cleaners everywhere in Houston that appreciate loyal customers. I will not be back.
