DO NOT GO HERE!!! TRUST ME!!!
Dropped off a dress, came back to pick it up when I was told it would be ready. They told me my dress was actually running late and they would call me when it was ready. Didn’t hear from them for days, so I called. Was told there was an issue with the beading on the dress and they would have to repair it. There was no issue with the dress when I dropped it off. After 3 weeks of my non-​stop calling for an update, the dress was finally ready. It was completely ruined. Still had to pay for the dry cleaning cost. The ladies in the store know nothing and claim they will talk to the owner about my issue and «let me know what they can do.» The owner is never in store and never returned my calls. Therefore I’m left with a damaged dress and no offer to pay for anything.
Do not go here. It was so conveniently located, but it doesn’t matter. Spread the word, this place does not deserve to be in business. They ruin your things and have zero respect for their customers. They don’t even deserve one star. I made a Unilocal account solely to get the word our about this place.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Not only dd they LOSE some of my clothing, it wasn’t ready when they said it would be AND I inky had 12 pieces of clothing and paid over $ 117!!! The women were rude and I CLEARLY asked for laundering for my pants but they dry cleaned then anyways. This place is a complete ripoff and I will never use them again, I don’t care how close they are to my office.

Prices were alright, ~1.50 per shirt, and ~4.50 per pants. One of my shirts came back smelling like curry/​maple syrup, another shirt wasn’t there when I went to pick them up the first time. They found it a couple days later.

I chose Urban Cleaners due to the convenient location and friendly staff.
I paid $ 24.00 to have 4 shirts cleaned and pressed. The shirts were not ironed and I could not wear them to work.
I am not going back to Urban Cleaners. I was not happy with the high price and poor condition in which my order was delivered.

Too, too expensive! OMG… I almost fainted when they told me they wanted $ 6 per shirt and up to $ 10 for a pair of pants. Prices are written on a sheet of cardboard that they only pull out when you ask. Sketchy.

They lost 3 designer shirts. They are right by my apartment so I dropped off my boyfriend’s shirts and when I went to pick them up the next week they had to tell me that they don’t know where they went.
They said they will write a check if I still had the receipts but this process has taken months and the owner never calls when they tell me he will. They have been very unreasonable and unresponsive.
If you don’t want your nice clothes lost then this is not the place to go.

2 shirts…$ 12. Not a fan. Prices are not listed, no itemized receipt. I’ll go to West Gray Cleaners instead.

I thought I would try a new dry cleaners as my old one is now out of my way to and from work. So I dropped off a bag of clothes. the usual suits & blouses etc. They cleaned the clothes well, the shop is nice and the staff pleasant.
The issue I have is the price. The prices are not listed anywhere in the store. I almost fainted when the clerk asked for $ 152. She ran my credit card and gave me the credit card receipt. When I asked for the itemized receipts, the clerk said she would give me an «all in one» receipt. Basically this «all in one» receipt showed the total and the tax. It was not itemized. This makes me suspicious. They are too expensive and not willing to disclose prices.
I will be going back to my old dry cleaners from now on. There they leave the itemized receipt pinned to each bag, so you know exactly what you are paying for.

I’ve used this place many times and each time I have been satisfied with their work. They were prompt with their dates that I could pick up my items and the clothes came out great!

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CLOTHES HERE!!! Owner and employees are EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude! Owner not only rude, but RACIST!
I trusted them with one of the most important garments I own: my wedding dress. They held my dress hostage for over a week, before telling me that due to the intricate beading and material;, they wouldn’t be able to clean it. They diodn’t even call me to tell me – I had to keep calling them before they let me know. By the time they told me, it was just two days before my wedding (weekdays, not business days, to make matters worse)!!! I had also dropped off my mother and sisters gowns to be steamed and they, fortunately, were ready for pick up. I told them how dissappointing it was to be informed that they wouldn’t be able to help me on such short notice – I didn’t even have enough time to take the dress to another cleaning service now!
So I drove over 50 miles to pick up the dresses (this business is located close to my job, but out of the way from where I live). When I got there, I was told that my dress was still on the truck coming from the warehouse where they do all of the cleaning, so only my mom and sister’s dresses were available to be picked up. The manager on duty (can’t recall name, but a middle aged hispanic woman with glasses) told me it would be there in an hour or so and that she would call me when it had arrived. Frustrated, I went and had lunch at a local restaurant while I waited for the call. Two hours later, the manager calls me and tells me that they tried steaming my dress and the stains started lifing off, so they WOULD be able to clean it, and it would be ready the next morning at 8am. Thinking back, the manager had been lying when she said my dress was on a delivery truck (it never even left the warehouse)…nonetheless, I was happy they would be able to clean it, so I agreed to pick it up tomorrow morning. My dress rehearsal at my wedding venue was at 10am and it was closer to the cleaners than my house, so I would just swing by and pick up the dress on my way.
At 9:30a the next morning, I come to pick my dress up and a different associate (very young hispanic girl) says that the manager was there early that morning, but left at 8am (when I was supposed to pick up my dress) and that my dress wasn’t there. The girl keeps trying to contact the manager via text. Again, the dress wasn’t ready, wasn’t delivered, and NO ONE EVER CALLED TO LET ME KNOW! In fact, when the manager found out it wasn’t going to be there at 8a that morning, she decided to leave and take a two hour break. You would think she would want to call me since they’d had so many issues with my order previously!
I waited about 30 minutes because the girl at the shop told me «the manager text me the truck is almost here.» I tell her to text the manager that I would not be paying for the dress when it gets here, since this whole ordeal had been such an inconvenience. The manager said that would be fine. I also requested to speak to the owner, but was told he wasn’t available.
I left (now late for my wedding rehearsal) and asked that I be called when my dress was on site (not on the truck).
I get a call at 11:30a that my dress is ready for pick up and it is at the location! I get there, and the manager informs me that she has spoken to the owner and he said I had to pay for the services – no discounts. At this point after wasting a lot of GAS and TIME, and putting up with one unprofessional act after another, I felt like I had more than paid for the dress. I asked the manager to call the owner. She took the cordless phone in the back room and talked to him for fifteen minutes before coming into the front and handing me the phone. When I got on the phone with the owner, he was screaming and yelling (it was so LOUD that the other customers inside turned around to see what was going on). He told me «I’m so sick and tired of you people coming in my store trying to get something for free. We cleaned the dress and you have to pay for it – end of story!» He would not let me get a word in. Right when I was about to hang up, he said «all these goddamn niggers» under his breath. Needless to say, that was the last time I will ever do business there.
I will NEVER, EVER patronize this place again. I encourage all of my fellow UnilocalERS to spread the word about this place and pass it up when you are doing your dry cleaning. This place is located around mid-​town Houston, which is made up of people of ALL races and backgrounds! Let’s not support a business like this!

I’ve got to give a nice Unilocal review to my dry cleaners, as Urban Cleaners has always gotten the job done for me. Service is always fast, with same-​day or next day pickup being the norm. Prices are more than fair, and the staff is extremely friendly. I don’t know what more one could want from a dry cleaner, so suffice it to say that I wouldn’t take my business anywhere else.

This place is close to my apartment and on my way to where I work/​play, so I dropped off a few shirts to get them cleaned.
When I picked them up, they mentioned I could have saved $ 0.50 a shirt if I would have included pants or a suit in the order. Okay, I thought, good to know for next time.
When I got home and actually examined my shirts, I found they still had several stains in them. It was very noticeable on my white shirts. I took them back, showed them to the cashiers and they took them back and said they would clean them again at no cost. Two days later I picked them back up and the stains were still there.

Great service. Great turnaround. Was able to get stains out that my other dry cleaner couldn’t. Friendly staff
