History
Established in 1993.
In 1993 while continuing to work full time for a petro/chemical company, Jim decied to open his own defensive driving school and held his first public class in the Fuddruckers on Nasa Rd. 1 with 18 paying customers attending. In 1994 he registered his company as Ticket Blasters. Soon after a second location and then a third and a fourth were opened.
To the best of our knowledge, Ticket Blasters was the first school in the Houston area to conduct defensive driving classes in public restaurants.
The founder and owner retired after 38.7111 years with that petro/chemical company and is training teachers and cordinating classes for Ticket Blasters.
Meet the Business Owner
Jim B.
Business Owner
Jim is 69 and enjoying retirement from his 40+ years in the petro/chemical industry where he began teaching defensive driving to his fellow employees in 1979. He started his own defensive driving school for the public in 1993. Ticket Blasters was the first that we know of who held classes in public restaurants.
Jim (James Tilmon Baker Jr.) enjoys teaching, playing ping pong with friends and associates and spending time with his wife of 49 blessed years. Jim is also blessed to be able to spend time with his children & their families and with his 93 year old father who lives by himself in the woods of east Texas.
