Tic Tac II Nails & Spa

HORRIBLE! Was referred here by a friend. Staff is nice and that's the only good thing. Their nail art skills are terrible. Worst nails I've ever had done! After a simple single color dip I'm stuck with stained purple fingers and dyed clown cuticles. I am literally going to have to go to a different salon to have this garbage job soaked off and start over. Crazy woman started cutting into my cuticles trying to clip the stains off! Sore, aching, painful. They still wanted full price! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!

So I used to be a regular here.
Long story short only Kathy does good nails.
They are rude as shit and don’t know how to talk to ppl. And for these high ass prices idnt think so
I won’t be returning.

This place is horrible. I went twice bc I thought maybe a different nail tech would do better. Nope I was wrong. They screwed up my skin around my nails. Both times my skin was filed into even after I told them to stop. It was unbelievable. $ 40 wasted.

First-​timers, beware! I promised my teenage daughter a pedicure as a special treat. When I called to book the appointment, I asked what the rate for a regular pedicure and was told $ 22. When my daughter arrived, the only manicures in the «menu» book she was shown were the «VIP» pedicures, all starting at $ 32, so she chose the first on the list since she didn’t see any cheaper alternatives. She had a broken toenail, so there was an up-​charge for that, as well. Total pedicure ended up being $ 40 with tip. Not what I had in mind when I booked the appointment! When I asked about the $ 22 pedicure mentioned on the phone, I was shown their previous menu which is kept under the front desk. Apparently, their new menu doesn’t list it, but the basic pedicure is still available IF YOU KNOW TO ASK FOR IT. Seriously? This is a sneaky business practice. I was very disappointed with the ethics of Tic Tac II. Shame on you.

I flew to Texas because I was a bridesmaid in a wedding. Tic Tac 2 Nails & Spa was recommended to me as one of the good ones in Houston. From the minute I walked through the door there was no «hello» or «how are you» it was «what do you want?» and «choose a color» after my unsuccessful trial for finding OPI’s «Did you take Lei away», I was told they didn’t have that color to find another. I chose another similar to it and was directed to a rather nice spa chair. Once, the pedicurist (Kay) began to work on me she informed me that the color I chose would be too light on my feet and went and went on to choose a different color. I asked her if they had the matching gel for my mani and she said «yes». At this point, my fingernails are already soaking to remove the previous gel polish. After the pedicure was complete we moved on to the manicure tables where she began to attempt to remove my previous gel polish. Because she didn’t add enough acetone they weren’t coming off. Now rather re-​wrapping them with foil to allow it more time to soak, she began to roughly try and rip he off. It was so bad she broke off my left index’s nail. When I informed her that she needs to just calm down and rewrap them, she put the same foil on the others and didn’t even add more acetone. Not even a minute later she began to try again, this time she used a nail file for another unsuccessful removal. This made them even worse and by now I was upset and told her that’s not the way to go about it. She then begins to inform me that she’s «not filling to hard just enough to remove the gel». Albeit, this did indeed remove the gel it gave all my nails a weird shape and chipped the tips of a few of my other nails, (I was over it by then)! To top that off she now tried to polish my nails with a different color from the shade that were on my feet. I said no just give me the color you just polished my toenails with, after at least 10 minutes of her going back and forth with colors she informed me that they didn’t have the gel polish for the toe color she chose and suggest a lighter shade, I agree and she proceeds with my manicure. In all the history of me getting manicures this was by far the worst one ever. She didn’t remove my cuticles, we had to cut down all my other nails to attempt to match the one she tore off and chipped, she tried to crazy glue the portions ripped/​chipped off, and icing on the cake she had polish all over my finger. When I noticed how horrible it was I started to cry, as I got up to leave with a manicure that could have been better accomplished by chubaka and went up to the counter with eyes filled with water expressing my discontent, the clerk, although knowing and hearing me tell him that my manicure was no good and a disaster he proceeded to hand me a bill for $ 62! Needless to say I felt it obligatory to review this place and not allow anyone to go through what I went through. If only I could give negative stars or better yet go back in time.

I’ve tried this place three times and each time my nails (shellac) last only 2 days. I came in before my trip to Las Vegas and spent 100 dollars. I got a shellac along with a manicure and pedicure. My nails did las t 2 days. i ask for the cost of my nails back and was refused. The guy offered to fix nails but this is the third time they have ruined my nails so no I don’t want you fix it bc you should’ve done it right the first time. I gave them a try since I live over here and didn’t want to have to go to sugar land every time but I’m just going to have to because they will NEVER GET ANOTHER DIME FROM ME. You all should be a shamed of yourself. Worst salon ever. If you have money to blow then go for it. The quality here SUCKS. Oh how could I forget eyebrow threading her is a joke. This salon sucks big time. Don’t waste your time or hard earned money because you won’t get quality here. Nope, not at all.

I love Tic Tac II! I used to go to another salon, but was having trouble with everything from distracted manicurists to my nails separating. Since coming to Tic Tac II, I’ve had no problems with my nails at all. Everyone is friendly. They offer you a drink when you arrive, and the salon is clean and quiet.

If I could give this place a 0 I would but of course I can not. I went to this place once before this time and although I didn’t hate it I didn’t love it either. First of all I asked for a coffin shape, which I sort of got. Second the guy doing my nails was filing my nails too hard, he basically sliced my finger w the nail file. And my right hand nails are all jacked up, I didn’t even tip them, I was so disappointed. I guess this is what I get for cheating on my nail lady.

Recently moved from the Westchase area of town to Meyerland. I’ve been driving to Westchase to my nail shop of 6 yrs; tired of the drive so I chose Tic Tac yesterday. I won’t be going back to my old shop again. Tic Tac is so clean and the staff is so friendly. Ann did my nails. Very pleased with how she did them. Loved the hot towel and hand massage after she was done :))

I’ve gone before to get a full set and they did an a good job. Enough for me to go back. My second experience was horrible, I was practically in tears! Danny filed my nails so narrow it looked like I had needles as nails. I asked him to fix it and he was completely irritated to the point where he shaped my nails horrible. They were not even, AT ALL! He didn’t even care to ask. He also took forever, I was there almost 2 hours for just a full set. I originally wanted shellac and a wax but was so bothered I just ended up getting a regular nail polish and no wax. While my nails were drying, he walked off and started talking to other employees in their language. It was more than evident he was rudely talking about me. The other nail tech knew how bothered I was and she just apologized. I ended up going home and filing my nails myself! No one ever offered me water, unlike these other reviews rant on how they do. I didn’t get treated that way. I’m an educated professional and have never experienced such horrible customer service. I will never return here again and will tell everyone about my horrible experience.

I really like this spot. It’s quick, they serve complimentary adult beverages and have several types of pedicures to chose from. Everyone is very friendly. Very clean. great value all the way around

Wonderful experience! I had a manicure and a pedicure. Danny was my pedicurist and was so wonderful. I chose the New York manicure and pedicure which included hot stone and paraffin wax. I can’t remember the name of the manicurist. She did and excellent job as well! Again, I chose the New York manicure.
I am from out of town but will choose them again if nearby!

Amazing service. From the time you walk into the door until the end you are treated so nicely. I brought my mom with as a late Mother’s Day present and we each had two ladies working on us. My favorite was Anna who did my gel tips and took her time and made sure I was happy.
We used to go to spice nails forever but I’ve recently made the decision to stay with tic tac. You can even get wine if you want !!!

Called to make an appointment and arrived early, regardless they still sat me down immediately. They also have an extensive menu of services. The salon is also clean and located in a shopping center so parking was easy.

I went in for the first time about a week ago. I asked to see a price list. I looked through it but what I wanted was not on the price list. So I went on to ask. They ignored me. I asked again. They said 30 dollars with an attitude. I kindly walked out and went to another nail shop. I don’t spend my money where I sense rudeness.

Great salon with great people! I came in once a few months ago because I was in the area. They remembered me when I came in today! That’s customer service. They offer complimentary drinks with your salon service. They have a nice color selection, and the prices are great! I will be a repeat customer!

Over the last 5 months since I’ve moved here I’ve tried at least 5 different salons. I stopped trying new places after I came here. It’s my Houston nail spot now! Quality nails that don’t break with good prices. & they serve complimentary wine! Need I say more…

I have visited the Tic Tac II at Chimney Rock & S. Braeswood three times now for a pedicure. I have had a great experience every time. It is always clean, the staff are nice and efficient. They take walk-​ins but I recommend making an appointment to keep from waiting. I have made appointments for the same day with no problems. I highly recommend this establishment.

I highly recommend this nail salon. You are offered a beverage (from wine to water), sit back in one of the new spa chairs and get pampered. The owner, Thomas, always watching out to make sure everyone gets taken care of quickly and to their satisfaction. The salon is always clean and well maintained and everyone is friendly. His prices are in line with most nail salons.

I don’t get a chance to go to such places for pampering but had a perfect opportunity recently. It was fun and they’re great at what they do. Also liked that the place was big and less smelly of polish than other nail salons I’ve been to in the past. Sounds strange I know but post pregnancy, the smells really bothers me. Hope to visit with friends again in the future.

This place is amazing, I have lived in this area and frequented most of the nail salons. Great service, the end result is great. Spa pedicures, the polish last almost a month, with no chipping. The shellac actually last 2 weeks, Great people, they offer you a beverage while you are getting pampered.
