History

Established in 2014.

In 1992, Kyle Sampson was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps before attending Texas Tech School of Law. As a former prosecutor in the U.S. Marine Corps, Mr. Sampson has focused his practice on defending citizens accused of crimes in state, federal, and military courts. Mr. Sampson is admitted to practice in Texas, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court f Appeals for the Armed Forces, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Ninth Circuits, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Texas, and all U.S. courts-​martial. As the founder of The Law Office of Kyle Sampson, Mr. Sampson represents individuals and corporate clients at trial and on appeal in various court systems.

Kyle Sampson was awarded the Navy-​Marine Corps Commendation Medal while he was a prosecutor in the U.S. Marine Corps and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of California before leaving active duty in 2000. Because he tried major cases dealing with rape, drug importation, and counterfeiting, Mr. Sampson made the decision to devote his practice to defending citizens accused of crimes in state, federal, and military courts. He is Board Certified in Criminal Law by both the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and has been recognized as either a Rising Star or as a Super Lawyer by Thomas Reuters annually since 2004. Mr. Sampson was once a member of the Board of Directors of the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association; and is currently a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and Houston Bar Association.
