History

Established in 2005.

Thairapy Salon & Spa was established in 2005 by Rachel Andres, an accomplished and driven stylist and entrepreneur, as a way to pursue her passion and extend high-caliber service to all clients. The concept of Thairapy Salon & Spa is heavily rooted in providing an inviting, relaxing, and rejuvenating atmosphere from your arrival to the conclusion of your services. From a full range of hair care services, to organic skin care, massage therapy, and more, Thairapy offers specialized services attuned to the individual. We deeply appreciate the clients who have come to us for years, as well as those that are looking for a fresh new experience.

Meet the Business Owner

Rachel A.

Business Owner

Rachel was born and raised in Houston. Always having a passion for hair as a child and young adult, she completed her certification in 1995. In 2002, she completed another long-time interest when she received a BA in psychology from Texas State University and worked in rehabilitation.

She later joined Visible Changes, where the majority of her cutting training took place. There she was nominated for the coveted «Rising Star» award, recognizing her as a top performer.

She began Thairapy with a burning desire to start her own business and create something special in the community while providing a great work environment for her fellow technicians. She has volunteered haircuts for the blind at Lighthouse of Houston since 2006 and participated in countless business workshops, technical training seminars, and continuing education classes.

Rachel’s mission is to offer customers a beauty experience in which their ideas and needs are top priority, infused with our expertise and care.
