Dr Matthews was a GOD send for my mother ! She had a prior hip surgery that she never recovered from Dr Matthews took the case and she is recovering well.
The Texas Orthopedic Hospital has wonderful nurses and the best experience we as a family have ever had at any hospital THANK YOU!!!

Staff is very nice and professional. The doctors definitely know what they are doing! Would definitely recommend for any orthopedic needs.

Had my medial meniscus and lateral meniscus repaired by Dr. Robert L. Burke with Fondren Orthopedic Group. This is an excellent group!
I went in for what I thought would be a consultation. They worked with me and my insurance. I had to have an MRI to determine for sure what was wrong with my knee. With their staff and my my insurance, it was approved in a short time!
But wait, there’s more!!!
MRI determined the tears. They said I could have surgery the next day! Yes! Their staff and my insurance got it approved in the 5p hour same day for the next day surgery. It was a simple 30 minute procedure at this hospital I’m writing the review. I was there all morning with registration, prep, recovery, discharge of course. Don’t think it’s like a fast food drive thru. Lol!
Surgery day: No long overdrawn wait at all. Extremely professional. Each person had their duty. Clock work. I’m two weeks into my healing and feel great. I’m no longer using my crutches. My post opt follow up was last week. Went well. Aaron was the PA who assisted me that day. I went to the FOG in Pearland.
I hope to never mess up my knee, but if I did, lol, I would go back to this orthopedic group. And yes, I met Dr. Burke. ;)

Texas Orthopedic Hospital has the best doctors I have ever seen. The doctors who work here are amazing they take their time with you and answer any questions that you may have. I have been coming here for over two years now, I am happy here and I feel like I’m welcomed when I come here for an appointment. When I had my first surgery I was a little nervous because I didn’t know what to expect. The nurses in pre-​op made sure I comfortable as much as possible before bringing me back. The staff is wonderful, they are very friendly and will help you with anything that you need. When I had my second surgery just recently I wasn’t nervous at all because I knew what to except and I knew that I was in good hands here. I trust my doctor a 100%. If you ever need an Orthopedic Surgery come to Texas Orthopedic Hospital they will help you get better.

What a first rate, high-​speed place. My father had a surgical procedure done here in the last few days. We got there early and checked in. This is where I expected it to be the typical experience, but I was proved wrong. We did have a bit of a wait for him to go into pre-​op, but after that it was awesome. The staff was super friendly and willing to help in any way they could. They talked to the customers like friends, not strangers. After my dad was taken back for the procedure, my family and I were kept up to date about how he was doing and when certain steps were being done and completed. They had some free snacks and coffee in the waiting room for families to. As soon as he was about to come out of recovery room, they told us which room he would be in. That same day the staff introduced themselves and showed us where key things were such as drinks and snacks for the patients and family members. They were so friendly there and caring. I just can’t get over how great it was. This place has a cafeteria that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is also a Starbucks upstairs if you want something for when the cafeteria is closed, or if you just gotta have that coffee fix. If you ever have to get an orthopedic surgery done, and you can manage to have it done here, you won’t be sorry. First rate all the way. It doesn’t hurt to have quality lodging and restaurants in the area either.

All of the staff seem to be very polite and helpful and the waiting room was clean with adequate seating. My only huge complaint was the waiting was killer. We were there for eight hours before we left to go home and the majority of that was waiting for him to get called back to prep for surgery.

While I loved my surgeon, their billing office is nothing short of a disaster. I had surgery in December 2013 and am still working to get my bill adjusted. Prior to surgery I received a phone call from someone at TOH and told that in order to proceed with the surgery I needed to pay ~ $ 750 up front. I provided my credit card information and was told that I would receive an itemized receipt in the mail. Fast forward 5 months and my account still has not been credited for this charge despite weekly calls with their business office. Furthermore, I was inappropriately charged for an implant that was not received. As confirmed by my surgeon and as evident in all of my post-​op x-​rays, I have two plates and nine screws yet I was billed for 12 implants. I have now submitted two audits and yet there is still no resolve. Needless to say, I won’t be back nor will I be requesting TOH to colleagues and friends.

Actually this hospital is one of the best I’ve been to. The people are very attentive and do their best to help and guide you on the right path. I would definitely suggest going here!

$ 1200 for a $ 150 cortisone shot? $ 450 for an MRI? Skip this place. It’s exactly what is wrong with this country. Overpriced everything.
