I called on Saturday and spoke with Andy. I got a price over the phone for a new 5.4 engine. Installed price of $ 3881.84 after tax. Called back ten minutes later to confirm the price and ask if during the engine replacement if It would cost more if I had them do new exhaust manifolds with the engine if I supplied the part. I was told they would at no additional charge due to the fact it would actually make things easier on them. When I called two days later to get the quote in writing the quote is almost a $ 1000 more. I cant really figure out what happened to make this price change so much, but it sucks. Thanks Texas motor exchange for giving me false hope that I could get this done under my budget.
