They have several fields that are well constructed and fairly fun. We bought a groupon for 10 people that included the entry fee and rental of the equipment. We still had to pay a tax of nearly $ 2 and air fee for $ 3. So it came out to about $ 15 per person.
Of course the place required us to buy their paint which is to be expected. It cost us $ 85 for 2000 paintballs. Twice the price if one was to buy them at any retail store. Decent price overall as one could comfortably enjoy him/​herself for easily $ 30 – 40.
However, I found my third game in that people I shot weren’t going out. At first I thought it was that they were cheating, but upon further inspection I found that the paintballs we had bought from the field didn’t leave a paint mark. They either would hit and bounce off or hit and explode but not leave a paint mark.
I mentioned this to the owner, Larry Cedillo, and even showed him and he just repeated to me over and over again how that wasn’t his problem and if I wanted to do something about it I should just bring my own equipment and then I can use my own paint.
So basically it’s useless to use the groupon because then you’re forced to use their paint which is utter crap and doesn’t work.
On a side note, it probably is better to bring your own equipment as the guns they provided us with were soaked with grease that left stains on my hands and arms. They looked extremely old and unkept, jammed frequently, didn’t shoot straight, and the hoppers were strapped on with rubber bands.

The Mosquitos are NOT A JOKE! The different maps were unique and good. The prices were not bad with the groupon, however make sure to read the fine print of the order details. It’s open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursday’s and the groupon works only on the weekends! Without groupon, its a little bit pricey. Johnathan (staff) and his turtles were very helpful.
Especially after rain, like out of a horror story thick swarms of Mosquitos buzzing over and covering your hair and skin… Was the worst a counter with insects in my life. I slapped the back of my brothers neck cause they were covered and then slapped my legs and the palm of my hand was covered in blood. Again I repeat it is NOT A JOKE.
Jonathan provided insect repellent after the first round, which was very helpful and was actually the key that made the event successful. But we still went home without a fifth of our weighting blood.
Aside from the the insects, the place was great. Was there with a small group and met some friendly people there. We had fun, for a majority of our group was first timers.
Not a bad place. BRING BUG REPELLENT!

Well since contacting the BBB, Larry has lied about everything that happened that day. I re messaged them and have kept the complaint in place and I am awaiting a reply.

1. Had a 10 person Groupon, but only 5 people in our group. I did not ask for a partial refund or anything like that but instead asked that maybe he give us some free paintballs. He refused.
2. Two out of the five guns during our first round malfunctioned, effectively taking two of us out of that round. Why don’t they test them before handing them out to people?
3. Referees were difficult to understand, did not at all seem interested in being there.
4. No men’s bathroom, just a very smelly portapotty outside. The women’s bathroom was filthy, I was told.
I’ve been to Urban War Zone and I felt that was much better than this place.

Terrible. Waited two hours to play. Everyone but myself had a gun (they’d give one every 30 mins). They kept telling us one more minute and to wait around.
Right when a gun finally showed up (they allow little kids to walk around with them even if they’re done playing) I walked to the front. They asked why I was there. I explained to get a gun. They laughed in my face and said they had another group pay $ 500 for guns and they can’t give any until they collect 40 for the group. Guaranteed that group is still waiting for guns 4 hours later.
That was enough. I looked at him and he said «hey you didn’t pay me $ 500 did you» and smirked. I told him «f*** you». We collected everything and began to leave. He kept smirking.
Never again.
Some things to consider:
They don’t have a list showing who showed up when so people cut very easily.
They throws the IDs in a box and then hand it to you to get yours. Easily could of taken 3 or 4 other IDs.
They have a bro mentality. If you know someone high five the front guy, talk about how you totally shot a ball of paint at another bro and felt something move while doing it. You’ll be able to cut no prob, Bro.
Parking sucks. Saw two cars get hit and the paint bros drive off. They were nice enough to leave the license plate on their hood though.

They have two fields. And the staff is good except that the equipment sucked! The Co2 kept running out before the game was done. And the «refs» were ok, but they needed to be a little more «Texas Friendly» to the players. And I paid through Groupon, good deal for 4 teenagers, BUT, the Co2 & paintballs are NOT included in the coupon! And you pay after you turn in the equipment! Expensive, but for 4 teens? well worth it! And one thing about the Groupon deal, you have to pay twice, one for the Groupon deal and two for the paintballs & Co2. Wish hey would have a deal that would include EVERYTHING? And I must say, the playfields are interesting and fun!

Made a reservation for a large group to come out and play many months before my event.
Called and confirmed our reservation a couple of weeks in advance and I was told we were on the books.
Showed up though and NOBODY was out there. Me and my group stayed out there for about hour waiting for someone to show up, nothing.
We checked out the playing fields which looked fun…
Just wished we could have played.
Very unprofessional Survival Games of Texas.

This is the paintball park that I had played my very first paintball match at age twelve. I had continued to play here with my friends through the years. I came here with my Alpha Black M-​16, next I came with a Tippmann A-​5, I then worked myself up to an X-​7 Phenom (e-​trigger version) and eventually got myself a pretty light and versatile Etek.
The staff here, in all of my visits, had always been real with you, skilled, considerate when adjudicating on unresolved matches, and did their job correctly when trying to prevent serious injury. (Because when you choose to play paintball, you have to understand that it is a heated game to begin with.)
This is a field that you will get a really good crowd at even in Summer. There are so many awesome scenarios and settings that will consist of a defending team as well as an attacking. Bring your ghillie suits, gear, paint and as much adrenaline as you can.

This is definitely a decent place to play paintball. As with any other field it is always better when you have your own equipment. I play paintball very often and have my own gear for a more competitive edge. However I will review both as a seasoned paintballer and also as a newbie using rentals because this field was actually where I played my first game of pb ever. Their facility has the greatest field set ups. They are very creative designs and make for very good woodsball matches. the owners definitely took their time constructing each field. When I played my first game as a part of a large private party I really enjoyed my time there and the organization kept using their field multiple times. At the time of writing this, this field is still one of the few in Houston that is bring your own paint! (BYOP) However this experience was plagued by two things:
one — their rental equipment is very old and not properly maintained so you will find yourself in frustrating situations with markers locking up or shooting poorly. (they use gravity fed tippmann 98s)
Two: another reason why im taking of a star is because even if you have your own equipment the referees here usually take too long between games for my liking. I pay for an all day pass and I want to enjoy that and not want to spend the majority of the time sitting on a bench. Also these guys dont do an all day air for $ 5 like other fields in houston area but charge you $ 3 for refill for players with their own equip. The paint that they sell is also overpriced for the quality.
In general, my recommendation is to get you own gear and you will enjoy the game more in the long run.

Super friendly staff with interesting paintball fields! Too bad the paintball experience was ruined for the most part because I had to step out of three games because of faulty rental paintball markers (The first one «dripped» rather than shot the paintball out of the barrel and the second one ran out of CO2). Many friends in my group also had to step out early because of the same problem, and I think it’s ridiculous to offer faulty rentals.
If you have your own markers, then this would be the perfect playing field. However, if you are looking for a casual experience and you don’t own a paintball marker, then you might want to consider going somewhere else.

Let me keep this simple. Terrible, terrible experience.
My husband, son, and a group of friends and family booked a private game time for a saturday. Also, we purchased an Amazon Local deal (like GROUPON or LIVING SOCIAL). We even called days before to confirm the private game/​group time, and to make sure we could use the Amazon deal. All was OK and confirmed with the guy on the phone… so we thought.
Needless to say, when we showed, they had no clue about our private game/​booking. There was also a ton of ‘fine print’ on the deal, that didn’t include unlimited tank refills, etc. A whole host of ridiculousness. The staff was semi-​apologetic, but clueless and unprofessional. The equipment they have for you to use that’s included in entrance is crap. Dirty, gunked up guns, some even non functional and getting jammed. Some of the boys tried to exchange theirs, and the staff told them ‘they’re all like that’ and refused to find them another gun that worked.
I ended up getting a full refund from Amazon local, as this was an awful establishment. I purchased 3, thinking we’d return, but clearly will not. Thankfully Amazon understood and didn’t give me any refund issues.
We will stick to Gotcha Paintball, they are much more professional, run their place like clockwork, and offer a much better paintball experience!

Least professional paintball field I’ve been to. The owner was extremely rude to our party because we were late to a reservation that we had paid for in advance. The guns are very dirty and not well maintained and the entire area was littered with cigarette buds and other litter.
The ref we had was great and explained everything in a easy to understand and friendly way. The fields were nice, but even with a nice ref and field I do not think I will be returning any time soon.

What can you say about an establishment that’s been around for 28 years in March. Survival Game of Texas is phenomenal. 97 acres of mostly woods. Themes include Normandy D-​Day Invasion, Old West Ghost Town, Vietnamese Village, 2-​Story Castle Fields and much more.
The last time I played here at night was on the Vietnamese Village field. There was a light in the middle of a dark wooded course where the flag was hung. I never got to see it. All I remember is coming back from the left flank to ‘gather my troops’ when my employees opened up on me from 20 feet away…6 semi-automatics…ouch. They couldn’t hear me screaming «I’m on your team» through their laughter. Later they tried to convince me that they didn’t know it was me. Their schedules sucked for 3 weeks. Moral of the story: Don’t play at night if you’re the boss.
Larry Cedillo is the original owner. He knows how to run the show. With so many fields it helps to have the staff to handle large groups. Expect to pay a little more for paint, but know that it’s definitely worth it. Incomparable.

Discount Family Fun

I had never played paintball before, neither had my husband. I found a groupon for this place and bought one for myself, gift for the hubs and got two other friends to buy as well.
We showed up at noon, signed in, got suited up and went out. The ref’s were dumbass little kids who acted like they were at school with their friends. Every other word was a cuss word. They were running around acting out scenarios yelling «move bitch, get the fuck out of my way. Im about to blast your ass!». Nice professional atmosphere guys, nice!
One of them kept hitting on me in front of my husband, he had to be no more than 15!
When we went out, they did not explain the rules very well (remember, we had never been before). We went out, played and I got shot, I called out, put my gun up (as they told us to do when we were ‘out’) and the a-​holes kept shooting me and my friend. The ref did nothing.
A few more games go by and I start to notice the same team kept winning because they were freakin cheating!!! They never called out when they got hit, just wiped the paint off and kept going. The ref’s didn’t pay attention, therefor did nothing.
To top it all off, when we went to pay the manager charged us taxes on the groupon. We said «what? We already paid for the groupon!» He said «You didn’t pay taxes». We said you should have charged taxes on the groupon, he continued to argue with us and tell us we were stupid. The guy was a total asshole.
We will never be back!

I found out about this place via Groupon. They had a deal for paintballs, equipment rental, and admission to the fields. All you had to pay for was more paintballs. It was a great packaged deal but the same package can be purchased on site for $ 25 which isn’t bad. This includes a semi auto paintball gun, 3 small bags of paintballs, unlimited CO2 refills and all day admission to their fields.
We arrived at 9 am a little after they opened the place. We started playing with the first group and it was loads of fun. There was 4+ fields with playing both sides of each field before rotating. We started at 9 am and made it to all of the fields and played both sides by 1 pm. As the day goes on there are more judges and the groups are separated so if you have a favorite map you could technically just join up with a different group and play that map again.
They offer camo rental and protective vests. They also sell water. I would recommend getting one of the protective vests. I had multiple layers and still got some pretty bad bruises while my gf had the protective vest and walked away with only 1 small bruise.
Overall, some tips are don’t be a hero, and avoid the guys who come fully dressed in camo with a fully auto paintball gun.
