Before You Hire Us for Traffic Ticket Defense, Please Know…

We cannot and do not guarantee dismissals, and neither should any other attorney.

While we have more not guilty verdicts at Houston Municipal Court than any other law firm from 2009 to 2013, each client’s case is unique and we cannot guarantee a dismissal. Moreover, the State Bar of Texas prohibits any attorney from guaranteeing a particular outcome or result.

Be prepared to be in court the entire day.

In some instances we are able to resolve our clients’ cases quickly but other times it is outside of our control. Please be prepared to be in court the entire day.

Sullo & Sullo partners, Andrew and Greg Sullo, were educated in Texas, receiving their Law Degrees from South Texas College of Law.

Andrew has tried hundreds of cases, logging many hours before a multitude of judges and juries. In 2012, Andrew was recognized as a «Best of the Best» Criminal Practice Lawyer in Texas by the Texas Lawyers Group. He was also voted a ‘Top 100 Trial Lawyer’ and ‘Top 40 under 40′ Trial Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers in 2013. I was issued a traffic ticket last year and I was not sure what to do. Sullo and Sullo contacted me wanting to represent me in court. I payed a hundred bucks and they pushed the court date to today. So today I went into the busy court room and waited. It was a good two hour wait, but my attorney was professional and sharp. In the end he got my ticket DISMISSED! I’d highly recommend them. And I will be using them for any of my legal traffic related needs. Thank you guys at Sullo and Sullo. You’re doing great.

She listened carefully to my concerns and refunded my money stating they worked hard to make their clients happy and hoped I would call them again if I ever needed an attorney. I will definitely do that.

They did as well as they could considering the police officer who ticketed me actually showed up. That’s not my complaint or issue. My issue is that they had so many people they were representing that it took all day for me to get out of court. There were several other attorneys there, but Sullo and Sullo by far and the most clients. They only had 1 attorney there to represent us. I would not use them again as I feel as if I paid for a service I did not receive. I was overlooked and under serviced.

They may be good for some cases but please do not make the same mistake I made and use them for a traffic ticket. I show up to my court date without any prior communication with an attorney at all. I wait 2 and a half hours before finally going out of my way to ask around which one represents Sullo & Sullo. Finally I find the correct attorney. I ask him what he can do and he replies «it’s really up to you, you can go to trial with a slight chance of being dismissed or you can just pay it and go home» I didn’t hire you so I could decide what I needed to do??? I had been there for awhile and didn’t want to risk a traffic ticket on my record with this guy who acted like it really wasn’t his problem, so I paid it and signed for defensive driving. Please just do it yourself and don’t waste your money on these worthless attorneys.

This law office is the only one from whom I got two solicitation letters. It says «Stop by our conveniently located office; no appointment necessary.» I drove over 20 miles, and talked to a woman at the reception, told her that I got a letter. She asked for my name and age, looked at her computer file, and told me that it will cost me $ 120 to be represented and to have my court arraignment reset. I asked her if there are other ways, like going to traffic school. She told me that she could not answer my query and that all her office can do is go to court to reset the date, and that’s it. I cannot talk to any lawyer (I saw there were three people in their cubicles). She was straightforward, no smile, inhospitable. My wife heard part of the «encounter» and suggested that we leave as it seemed that we could not talk to anybody else (a lawyer?) who could explain the different ways to dealing with my traffic ticket. We expected a bit more than what we were told. This office failed in getting me to be a client and it was a waste of our time.

Since i was one of the last ones to leave, my estimate is that at least 85% of the people with attorneys got their charges dismissed while about 50% (at most) of those representing themselves had to pay fines, fees, defensive driving etc.
My advice is do what is best for your situation, the law firms that send mail to you after you have been issued a citation have been doing this for a while and they all know the people in the courts and vice versa and they know how things work so you have an upper hand if you hire them, also the cop didn’t show for my case so that was a good strategy they used.
I give a 5 star because they did everything they said they would do. They never told me they would be polite, I would rather have them be rude to me and dismiss my case than have them be polite to me and fail to help me where it counts the most so thanks sullo.

WORST WORST WORST SERVICE EVER! Does NOT help at all basically just paying an attorney to show up. My attorney had charges added to my speeding ticket (that were eventually taken off) which made everything unclear and confusing. Receptionist refused to transfer to my call to someone in the office who had information that I needed & insisted that I just call 311. If you have a speeding or traffic ticket DO NOT come to these guys you will be screwed over.

This is my substantive consumer experience:
DO NOT USE THEM FOR A SPEEDING OR TRAFFIC TICKET
Here’s the bottom line for dismissal…
1) an error on your ticket (Just read it super closely and see if there’s an error or not)
2) police officer doesn’t show up
If there’s no error on the ticket then all you can hope for is that the officer doesn’t appear. If the officer does, then it won’t be dismissed and you’ll have the option of deferred adjudication or defensive driving. You will waste $ 80 paying for an attorney because these are the same options you’ll have with or without an attorney.
Waste of money! Waste of money! I’ll repeat… WASTE OF MONEY.
I used them, they helped zero percent, and left me regretting hiring them. The end.

A complete waste of time to pay and use these attorney’s. I could have litigated this ticket myself. Basically paid for them to tell me that going to trail was my best option. Sure, if I wanted to pour more money into this. He suckered about a dozen other clients into going to trial.
Not only am I out $ 80 for their useless consultation and representation, I’m still paying for the ticket, have to take defensive driving, and lost a half day from work!!!
DO NOT HIRE THEM!

Sullo & Sullo is not a bad law firm? don’t get me wrong, but its not a good one either. I have hired this law firm before and I was satisfied but who knew the second time could leave such a bad impression of them in my eyes. And many other clients that were at court today along with me that also hired Sullo & Sullo.
It was basically pointless to hire a attorney, He didn’t really help me in any way, neither did he prevent a dismissal on a speeding ticket. I just felt like I could have done same thing he did and talk to he judge and get the same exact results in the end. I have talked to other Sullo clients who was at the same courtroom with similar cases and they shared the same opinions about this.
Purely pointless.

I actually, contrary to most of the folks who have left reviews had a good experience with Sullo & Sullo. I had to take both of my kids with me unfortunately. My attorney was very sympathetic to the situation. I could tell he was doing everything within his power to get it resolved as quickly as possible. The ticket needless to say got dismissed. I was in and out in about 3 hours. Which sounds like a lot of time and believe me in a court room with 2 kids… its an eternity, but it saved me court costs ($ 220) and or drivers safety course. I think because it doesn’t work out the way the defendant believes it should these guys get a bad rap. I would definitely use them again.

Just SAY NO. They send blanket mass mailers to anyone who gets a ticket… it’s an easy way of conning people. I came to my the court and realized «my attorney» was representing about 12 people that day.
This is TERRIBLE. The PROSECUTOR WILL NOT WORK WITH THE ATTORNEY because they represent so many clients… and they’re worried about setting a precedent. I experienced this first hand.
When my «experienced attorney» was arguing my case the prosecutor told him flat out that they DO NOT want to set a precedent and that she’d be giving me the maximum penalty… This is a case I could’ve apparently solved with a simple defensive driving course,
So instead of $ 25 defensive driving course, I spent nearly 100bux on the attorney, waited in court 6 HOURS (while all the other people + attorneys were long gone) + got a «deal» which involved $ 300 in court costs + OTHER FEES + 6 months no ticket probation + defensive driving course which had to be submitted.
Can you see how Sullo & Sullo Traffic Ticket Lawyers are a joke? There are countless other attorneys out-​there or you can even represent yourself… anything will be better than relying on this scam.

I just tried hiring an attorney at Sullo and Sullo for a recent speeding ticket, and the man I spoke with on the phone was extremely rude. I had a few questions about the process, fees, etc. and he just gave me attitude. When I expressed concern about an issue, he said «well have a nice day» in a sarcastic voice and hung up on me. It was very unprofessional, and I do not recommend going to them.

Total bullshit. Called last Friday about my case. I was given a quote and asked to pay ASAP. I told them I won’t get paid till mid next week, they says it was fine. So I walk in with the requested amount, then they tell me that they can’t take the case due to the fact that it’s too soon. What happened to that «too soon» when I called a few days ago. Total waste of time. Now I have to rush and find another lawyer.

I hired Sullo and Sullo for a traffic ticket. A lawyer did arrive so I’m giving 2 stars for that. That’s all. It was a complete waste of money. I could have taken deferred or defensive driving but my attorney advised me to reschedule and hope the officer didn’t show up for the next date. I followed his advice and now, not only do I have to pay the ticket and have it on my record but I also had to pay for the attorney.
I ended up spending more because I hired this attorney.
When I called to speak with someone about this the gentleman on the phone started talking over me. When I tried to bring it up again, he started speaking faster and louder. This was one of the strangest incidences of poor customer service than I have ever experienced. I would not recommend this firm to anyone.

Who knew there has been a stop sign at Fountainview and some little cross street by the Birkham Yoga studio I had been rolling through for almost 3 years? Seriously, officer there was stop sign there, did you put it up while I was at work, Are you positive there has been a stop sign there for as long as I have been making this morning drive into work at 630a.m.
Okay, if you say so, I can’t exactly argue with HPD. Okay, well, maybe I can, but I have big plans for the weekend, so I don’t feel like spending it in the Po Po.
I got a ticket, and I had already taken defensive driving for another ticket last year I got on Cinco De Mayo, so that wasn’t an option. I didn’t want to pay the $ 300 fee, and I didn’t want it on my driving record so Mr. State Farm can jack up my insurance rates.
I had had friends use Sullo and Sullo, and thought it was worth trying out that route for $ 75. They reset my court date for a later date, and kept in touch with me to remind me of what documents I needed.
The day of court, I had a young blonde lawyer who was very sweet, and helpful She mentioned my particular officer was a 50⁄50 show, so if he didn’t show I would be out of there by 11a. m, if he did I may be there all day. This idea did not make me happy. My court time was 8a.m., and I was out of there my 930. Dismissed, didn’t have to pay a dime to the court.
