This place is great during weekday mornings– fast, friendly, efficient staff. The weekend is the total opposite– 10+ minute wait for coffee inside or in the drive thru, and not a staff member dares to crack a smile. Update– a month or so later, I think they’ve actually cut down staffing on the weekends. Waited 10+ mins for iced green tea. Then they told me they’re out of green tea but I can wait for it to brew if I want. There’s also a strange man dancing in the middle of the store.

Refused service for a dark brewed coffee saying that they were understaffed at 4 pm on Saturday in a nearly empty store location with two Starbucks employees behind the counter. When I asked why they tried to lecture me about Starbucks policies on what I can and cannot order. Never visiting this location again.

Iv’e always had a really refreshing and kind experience coming to this Starbucks. It has a great location across Westheimer from the Barnes & Noble(which has not opened its café yet), and there is plenty of parking available! The baristas are always welcoming, though they may not be as quick to the chase as some other locations would be. They almost always start on my order before I pay, which is great if I’m in a hurry to get back home or studying. The drive-thru window is also pretty efficient, but I think they have an issue with volume around 5−7pm. I usually have to wait at the speaker for a while before they take and start on my order around those times. The place is clean, but I do agree with other reviews that it is kind of generic and cold, and the view of the street isn’t pretty(it is better than looking out at the parking lot or at Ross). Their bathrooms are always spotless, and the condiment bar is neat and tidy. Overall, it’s a great Starbucks to frequent, and I love that it’s walking distance from home.

Ever since the Starbucks next to the Barnes and Noble across the street closed down 5 or 6 years ago, there has been a void in the area in meeting people around that part of Westheimer. This was made worse by the Fondren and the Fountainview locations closing down. Because of that, I had high hopes for this new one but it’s not quite there yet though it has potential. There are plenty of seats including some outside, but the place just feels cold both literally and figuratively. I’m usually warm blooded but even with a sweater on, I was freezing and had to cut my studies short before I could even finish my drink. Not that Westheimer is a great view, but after sunset, I don’t know why the employee there closed the shades down to make the place feel even more isolated. They also don’t have the fast new Google internet the other Starbuckses have and it’s horribly slow.

Worst service ever. Ordered a tall coffee and the barista name Jose who took my order told me to wait 3 minutes because they had to brew the coffee first. He told me to pay in advance so I did. He went in to the kitchen/staff room/whatever and he completely forgot about my order. I asked the other barista after around 15 mins and they didn’t believe that I already paid for my coffee earlier. I was told to pay for the coffee again! They also asked me about who took my order, but how in the world can I remember how he looked like? Until after 5 mins trying to convice this barista, Jose came out smiling and said sorry. And I was like really? How if I was in hurry and had to leave as soon as I got my coffee? How if I never asked about my order which I already paid earlier? Will I ever get my coffee? I was really pissed, I asked for Jose’s full name and he refused to answer. Will never come back to this location.

Avoid this location. Typical looking Starbucks staffed with nontypical employees who could care less. A decent amount of seating, but no soft chairs. Only one sided long booth for one side of 4 double tables. Otherwise, all hard chairs. The strange thing is that they have been open for several weeks but the receipts still say 5903 Westheimer. They took registers from a closed location without updating. They know it, but they all«just work here.» This location is 7705 Westheimer near the SE corner of Westheimer and Stoney Brook.
