Smashburger

Been here 3 times an the food was good, fast service. And was looking forward to enjoying a shake that I am used to getting so I go one. When they brought out the food either shake I was immediately disappointed either shake I paid 4 dollars for a shake that was In a child sized cup. I was expecting a glass with the steel cup but I was given a paper cup full of whipped cream. Not happy at all with the down grade.

Horrible!!! Screwed up our order, then the manager argued with me about it being correct!!! Rude, no customer service skills at all! This Place SUCKS!!! $ 23.00 for sorry burgers.

Tried the Spicy Cowboy Burger.

First time at the Spencer Road location.
Just as good as the other two I have been to.

First walking in there was an Isaac who immediately greeted us and had a welcoming smile. After staring at the menu long and hard (no one was in line behind us) we finally decided. To my surprise we no longer had Isaac’s attention. He was busy directing the staff that he’d forgotten all about us. After waiting until he was finished with the staff we were able to order. Isaac must have been preoccupied because he forgot to give us our drinking cups and there was no one behind the counter. I helped myself to two drinking cups that I’d purchased to go with our meals so we can enjoy the wait with our drinks. The food came out pretty quick. My sons chicken strips were still hot (good) but his fries were cold which was disappointing because I was really looking forward to those string fries. The chicken strips were also not what I was expecting. They looked more like patties with their flat appearance. My fried pickles were hot and delicious. My mother enjoyed her sweet potato fries and spicy chicken. I wasn’t a fan of the sweet potato. I built my own burger. My burger was a bit cold. The goat cheese was delicious but I which I had purchased a double portion because the serving was smaller than I would have liked. My onions rings were fun and stringy. A bit on the salty side but otherwise pretty okay. I think I might try another location with higher reviews. The staff went from having high appeal to playing «hide and seek». There was one young lady who was very helpful. She would come through the kitchen doors more often and help us out.

They need to get it together.
No wait in line but over 40 min wait for food because of kitchen.

This review falls into 2 sections: staff and food.
I was greeted immediately by Keana the young looking manager. She definitely knows customer service. She is studying to be a teacher and a coach. This location is right across the street from San Jacinto Community College. The restaurant is clean and has a nice outside seating area.
Now the food is where the stars are lost. I liked my Baja Cobb Salad. It was tasty and generous with each item except for the guacamole which was nothing more than a dollop.
My wife had the bacon cheeseburger with the haystack onions. She found them both very salty and the condiments overpowering the Angus beef. She was very disappointed.
We won’t be back but we do wish Keana well!

Loved smash burger! Russell was an excellent employee. My family and I enjoyed our meal!

This was my second visit to this particular location of Smashburger so I decided to give my thoughts on it. I had the create your own burger with smash sauce, lettuce, cheddar cheese and mayo on a spicy chipotle bun. I really don’t dig the lettuce that they use. It tasted old and rubbery. I think I would probably go for shredded lettuce if I had the choice. and the burger itself was pretty messy. The front counter service was okay except that the girl didn’t repeat my order back to me so I’m pretty sure the mayo was missing from my burger and the other server who gave me my to go bag didn’t say a word to me he just handed the bag to me and I said thank you and left. I definitely did not feel welcome but, it is what it is. I actually really like Smashburger even though this experience wasn’t so great. It would be nice if they would do some extra work on customer service.

This is the second time I ordered online and the second time I’m disappointed. Smash burger is one of my favorite burger joints ever but this location is VERY underwelming. Both times I «tried» to order online, my order didn’t even get started until I showed up to pick it at the time I was given online. Ordered at 840 pm and it said would be ready at 9pm. At about 925pm I was walking out with my order, cold fries and all. Will not be going back here anytime soon and I don’t suggest anyone else does either. For an 8 dollar burger I expect a lot better service than this.

I was excited to get a Smash in Deer Park. Upon giving this place 3 tries it’s horrible! Every time I’ve been here Ive waited well over 25 min for a burger and fries. The place is always filthy and they have the worst FLY problem anywhere! Smash Corporate needs to check into this place and clean it up!

Literally the worst! Waited forever for my black bean burger and the food finally came out extremely soggy. My sweet potato fries were soaked in oil. The staff had no idea what was going on. I felt kind of bad because the place was stacking up with customers and orders but still. I feel like $ 10 went down the drain because I couldn’t even finish my food it was so unappealing.

6÷28÷15 Ate here on Sunday evening. I’ve eaten at other smash burgers and all were really good. This one was not at all. Burgers seemed a little small, greasy and lacked flavor. I told the cashier 3 times I did not want any mayo but did want mustard. Yep you guessed it, I got an extra helping of mayo and had to scrape it off (ruined from that point on) and fries were excessively greasy. Left with stomach ache. My husband, who has a stronger stomach than mine, agreed it was very greasy. Not planning on returning.

Got the classic smash with sweet potato fries. Fries were crisp and tasty but lacking salt, burger was not bad. The pattie is too small for the bun and the bun is just starchy fluff. The pattie is pretty good because of the american cheese. It adds a nice dimension to the burger. The smash sauce is mustard based and I do not like mustard so I did not find it appealing. The regular fries are really thin and a bit soggy. The service was kind of rude. The cashier was fairly unprofessional and unkempt. Overall it was o-​k. Nothing special and kind of expensive for a wendy’s style burger.

I usually just read these but this place was so bad, I had to write. Slow, overpriced, undersized, slow, every item on order was wrong except French fries, which were cold. Rude server, had to call manager, who was a teenager and unprofessional. Have been looking forward to trying Smashburger but I can say… Never again… did I tell you, never again. Run run run from this place

I enjoyed the food, but it was a little pricey for a burger place. The burgers are slightly bigger, but not by much than an average burger, (compare to fast food) but the meat is quality. If your meat is not cooked right, send it back because you are paying a lot more than usual.

This location is centrally located in a shopping center, and all goes as well at other locations. Good to see one on this side of town.

Good Was not bad. Sitting outside in great weather made it enjoyable. I have high expectations for burger only joints so I cannot give it more than three stars.

Burgers and fries for that price should not be cold. The funny part is that my husband watched them bag it as he got there. There’s no reason the food should be cold. Such a bummer. I rather eat Burger King.

Yuck. Went to another smash burger and expected similar quality. Instead was served cold fries, dripping with grease fried pickles, black bean burger patty was not cooked-​it was slimy too. What a waste of my cheat day meal. Blech!!!

Ordered the Smash burger with Smash frys and drink costed me $ 10.79 for a really small regular lunch. Was notthing fancy. the line was 30 minutes on a sunday at 2:30pm. The frys were the thinest frys i have ever seen. Their was notthing special about the burger that i expected. It was a plain ol small expensive burger. I might go back one more time to try the bigger burger but doubt ill be going here much at all… save your money and go to Burger Tex down the road!
