This is the first Korean restaurant I’ve been to that lets you get the side dishes yourself. The sides aren’t of the top quality, but they are ok and you can get as much as you want. Their seafood pancake is pretty good. We tried their lamb and seafood soup/pot, not too impressed. It’s located next to Kim Son, good place for a quick and decent Korean lunch.

I only come here because of the self serve bar. Unlimited spicy cucumbers. My girl friend just orders whatever.

Wow this place has more stars than it deserved. Let us start off with the good point that deserve that one star instead of zero. I like how the two nice waiters ask me if I needed anything or if I needed a refill on my hot green tea. It is always good to start off w a good point instead of bad. Here goes the bad. My green tea was lukewarm. Minus one star. I love green tea and it should be hot green tea. Coffee can be cold or hot but not lukewarm. That is just wrong. Waiter refilled my already lukewarm tea w more lukewarm goodness, I’m being sarcastic. I ordered the box lunch special with thin slice bbq beef. It wasn’t anything special. It didn’t threw me off my chair and made me say this is delicious. This might be an off day for the cook and they made this poor meal that deserve a zero. Mind you that I was starving which should have made anything I eat delicious! Nope, this was not adequate at all even to a hungry person. Therefore, this deserve another three more minus stars.

Yukgaejang(Spicy Beef Soup with Vegetables) and fried dumplings were great! The employees were nice and attentive. They all asked how was everything as they offered refills. I was also seated immediately.

This is my favorite Korean restaurant in Houston! I love the teriyaki potatoes side dish and I also like that you serve your own sides so you can get just the ones you like. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve eaten here, but my favorites are the ojingo bokum and the haemul dolsot bibimbap. Portion sizes are large, so you will likely have enough for leftovers. The waitresses strongly prefer that you tip in cash, so make sure to grab some before you head here to eat. Parking is plentiful and free. Go eat here!

A good place for Korean food in the heart of bellaire. 2 entrees will cost you around 20 bucks. The sides are endless. Plenty of seats available. The staff is nice.

I love their bibimbap! The only thing was that they took a long time to serve, I don’t know if maybe I was just so hungry but that aside… I will definitely come back for the bibimbap!

Seoul House’s only major flaw is being in a hectic shopping area. Parking is nuts! BUT! They do have their own reserved spots on the side. Be sure to check there first. I ordered the dolsot bimbap. It was sooo much food! Not to mention adding the unlimited sides! I filled up on the sides that I barely made a dent in my entrée. Better for me! I have food for tomorrow! The stone bowl was still super hot by the time we were packing up our to-go boxes. Be sure to let it sit a while. Good for crispy rice. Bad for touching by accident.

This is a nice Korean place, especially because they offer unlimited sides. I personally like a lot of kimchi with my korean food. So it is definitely a plus since other places offer only a saucer’s worth of each side item. I usually order the tofu soup or the short ribs. It’s seasoned just right.

1. Order the Dolsot Bibimbap 2. Help yourself to the appetizer/side dish bar 3. When your bibimbap comes out, wait a few minutes to stir it up so the rice that’s touching the bowl becomes extra crispy/crunchy delicious 4. Mix and enjoy! We came here for lunch and luckily beat the crowd. I love stone bowl bibimbaps. I compare places on how hot do they get it and the crispiness of the rice. I was not only impressed by that but also all the fresh ingredients they include in theirs. Definitely adding this to the lunch rotation. Be warned, it’s a LOT of food — you might get a little bit of food coma afterward.

Came here the other night for dinner for the first time. Arrived around 8:30pm and was the only customer here besides a to-go order. Was sat down and taken care of by our server. But what makes me rate this place a star less is the other server staring at us while we ate for a good 5 minutes. Not only was she staring but she was leaned against the wall, arms crossed staring at us as if we shouldn’t have walked in. It made the atmosphere even more uncomfortable to be in. We just hurried and ate before they closed while more people came out of the kitchen. Side note: the prices are a bit much for dinner and I don’t really find it worth the portion I received but lunch I still would highly recommend!

other than the free kimchi bar … was not impressed. I wanted fermented picked veggies but the sprouts wee overly oily, the kimchi tasted old(they’re keeping it for days too long) got the grilled pork J1; it’s over priced(but that’s prolly to cover the buffet) … pork was somewhat tough and overly sweet(this is definitely not a place to go to for fresh live fermented veggies; this is fast food Korean bbq… it was not good; felt completely disappointed and my belly does not like me right now… I like my gut too much to go back here and only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is bc of the kimchi bar.

Location is in one of the corners of the big plaza in the older side of Chinatown. Shouldn’t be too hard to locate and has plenty of parking. If you are coming from the Beltway 8 direction it may be easier to enter the plaza by turning left on Turtlewood Dr.(Getting into the plaza can be tricky if you turn left after the light with the traffic). The insides is well-lit and has plenty of windows. The tables generally sit around 4 – 6 people. Usually there isn’t much of a wait. I’ve never had to the couple times I’ve been here. The service is pretty good. The servers are pretty friendly. I believe this place is mainly self-serve so I’m not sure if you need to tip or not to be honest. I mentioned that I’ve been here a couple of times. This time I went, I wasn’t really happy with the food. I’ve gotten the item several times in the past and it only occurred to me this time around. I got the Seafood Tofu soup. It was mostly tofu and hardly any seafood. I don’t know why I’ve never noticed that before, perhaps my standards have been raised recently. The side dishes are all you can eat and for the most part they are not bad. However, what made me disappointed apart from the food was that I could see some small fruit flies in the restaurant. I’m not too particular about insects, but I would like to see as little of the live kind when I’m dining somewhere. I hope they clean that up! All in all, I’ve been here a couple of times, but I don’t know if I’ll be back again at my own volition.

Parking: Large parking lot but since it shared with a lot of other stores in the area, expect to have some trouble getting a spot in the evening. It is even harder when Kim Son has a wedding and part of the parking lot is used as valet. Time and Day: Ate on a Sunday evening at 6:00PM. It was 60% full but we came right before an event at Kim Son started. By the time we came out, the parking lot of was completely full and we saw drivers looking for parking spots. Inside, they were at 20% capacity so we had no issues getting a table. Food: First the menu selection is kind of small but you do get unlimited sides! There is no way for you to not get full unless you hate the sides they have. I ordered the Bibimbap(the rice dish) and my girlfriend ordered the Daeji Bulgogi. Both of these dishes were delicious and had no issues at all. Service: The service was decent. The waitress came by, got our order, gave our drinks, delivered our food, but that was it. The waitress didn’t periodically check up on us for anything as they were in the back of the restaurant preparing some food. So the service could have been better but was good enough. Price: Average price. But since they have the unlimited side bar, you will get your money’s worth. Overall: I have been here for 3 years and I can say it is still an awesome Korean restaurant. They can expect to have my business for many more years to come..

Highlights: 1. Their unlimited bonchan(korean side dishes)!!! oh yea!!! They have the good ones too! After going to a Korean church for 6 years, nothing compares to a home cooked meal from the aunties and uncle. With this said, most of the dishes are pretty authentic. 2. Pretty good deals on the lunch menu! Food: Seafood pancake — Great for sharing. They’re generous with the seafood. Nice and cripsy. Even if you take it home for left overs, just pop it in your toaster oven the next day and it will still be delicious. Seafood soonduboo — Aka tofu soup. It’s my kind of comfort food. There’s a decent amount of seafood in the dish. It’s generally served spicy, but the last few times I forgot to request for extra spicy. The bowl is an average portion size. It’s served with a side of rice. Great dish for the winter because it will warm you right up and put a smile on your face. haha Galbi short ribs — Nice charring and tasty! They offer an ok amount for what you pay for. I think I usually get more pieces for the same price that I pay here. If I’m starving, I can finish the entire dish myself… but everyone else will be eyeing your dish until you offer a piece to everyone else. Bulgogi and spicy pork — Delicious — enough said! Perfectly seasoned. The spicy pork wasn’t too spicy. The galbi, bulgogi, and spicy pork is accompanied by a lettuce dish with a soy sauce dressing(that was a little too salty). Banchan — sesame seasoned brocolli, fish cake, seasoned bean sprouts, kimchi, cucumbers, tofu, and potatoes with a sweet soy sauce. Can i stress the word«unlimited». Customer service: We were immediately seated and the waitress took our orders promptly. The food came out pretty quickly as well. ***They do accept credit cards. Previously, I couldn’t leave tip on the credit card, but it looks like now they have the gratuity line added on their receipts.

Must order: Lunch special grilled short ribs galbi The lunch special from 11am to 3pm is a great draw to this place. For $ 7-$ 10 you can get a bento box of grilled meat, tempura, egg, salad, soup, and rice. I had the galbi beef short ribs and it was cooked very well, though the slices were a bit thin. We also ordered grilled chicken and bulgogi and they were good. The side dishes were placed at a self-serve bar, with about 5 – 6 selections of banchan. Keep in mind, this is a Korean joint in a predominantly Vietnamese center in Chinatown… With that being said, the food was fresh and cooked well, but the seasoning was definitely fusion.

Super casual, quick service, and yummy food! The buffet style sides is a nice touch. I love the soy potatoes and bean sprouts. I got the Dolsot Bibimbap it’s literally a sizzling bowl full of veggies, rice, and beef that’s topped with a fried egg. The dried seaweed gave it a nice crunch/flavor. I mixed everything up with their special hot sauce and it was heavenly!

Seoul House hit the spot for me! My bf and I went here for lunch one day, and it wasn’t busy. We were seated immediately. The service that we received after was great as well! Our waiter checked up on multiple times throughout our lunch. I had the seafood udon soup. I love anything with noodle and soup, so this was a hit for me! There was a good ratio of seafood to udon. Everything was cooked perfectly. The broth had umami and good flavor. My bc had the rib bento box. I loved the marinade of the ribs! Just right for now even though it wasn’t my dish. Lol. He was too full to finish all of the ribs, so I finished his food. :) My favorite part of this place is that we get to get our own side dishes, which is unlimited! My favorites were the potato, broccoli, bean sprouts, and fish cakes. I hate bugging the waiters at other places to refill my side dishes, so this was very convenient. Overall, the prices were reasonable for the portions they’re offering. I would recommend Seoul House!

What happens when you google best restaurants in bellaire? Well an article from 2013 pulls up and you are led to this location. I love trying restaurants in bellaire so we headed to the address. I was really impressed that the sides usually served with Korean food are self serve! This means you can pick and choose. My favorites of course are kimchi, tofu, pickled squash, potatoes, and sprouts. The bowls here are just as good as any other place. We did order a stew like bowl and just the textures were just a bit too weird for us to enjoy. If you are not familiar with Korean food, stick to the bowls! Overall, it offers solid food and great prices!
