History

Established in 1961.

Memorialization has been a family tradition for the Schlitzbergers since 1922, when first generation Memorialist John C. Schlitzberger aka Papa Stone, started in the business at the age of 15. He brought his sons up in the business, and for many years the tradition was carried on by his son Bobby Schlitzberger and Bobby’s wife Dianne. Now their daughters, Maria Schlitzberger Davidson and Kimberly Schlitzberger are keeping the family commitment to high-​quality memorials alive while adding fresh, exciting new technologies and opportunities to the roster of family achievements. Maria and Kim are proud to be 3^rd generation «monument makers» and tip their hat to the past while making plans for the future.

Business Owner

Maria Schlitzberger Davidson is a Certified Memorialist, and the President of Schlitzberger and Daughters. Kimberly Schlitzberger, Secretary-​Treasurer of Schlitzberger and Daughters, was the recipient of the 2012 Southern Monument Builders Memorialist of the Year award, and is one of only two American Institute of Commemorative Arts delegates in Texas.
