I have always been critical of dentists and their practices. I have had very poor experiences in the past which kept me from seeing them as needed. My first visit to Parker Read reassured me that there are good practices around. The staff is friendly. The facility is clean with modern technology. My smile is back and I am happy with dentists again. Thanks!

My family has been seeing this dental group for years. They are courteous, professional, personable and run an excellent practice. I recently called after hours to get advice about what I should do with a sensitive tooth issue that arose since it would be several days until their office was open again, due to a major holiday. I promptly received a call from Dr. Read, who offered to see me after hours, even though it was on a major holiday. He was incredibly generous with his time and was able to resolve the issue quickly and professionally.
In a city as big as Houston it’s rare to encounter such «small town» type relationships, where you are treated not as a commodity, but a person who is valued.

YES, a million times YES!
I moved to Houston a year and a half ago, and was still searching for a good dentist down here. I went to a couple of the franchise dentist’s and I didn’t feel like they gave me good, personalized service.
Then I came here! From the moment I walked in until I left I felt very taken care of. Even though this is a very large practice they really show you they care about each of their patients. I was offered a beverage as soon as I walked in. They had CURRENT magazines, not past dated, 2 year old copies.
Tina was/​is my hygienist and was so personable and asked my questions about myself, which I always appreciate. She took my x-​rays with out a problem, which normally is a horrible part for me. I got to see actual pictures of my teeth and had my teeth shined.
Dr. Nickolas was my dentist and was just the friendliest guy I’ve ever met. Just a true class act. Answered any and all of my questions, showed me what he was seeing and explained it in layman’s terms. Then I had to come back to get my fillings and it was painless. The numbing process was easy, didn’t hurt, and I was taken care of in a very timely manner.
I promise coming here will never be a mistake.

Superb experience, starting from the phone call for an appointment to the actual office visit. Very friendly and knowledgeable staffs and most importantly, honest and sincere practice from Dr. Schleicher, Parker, and Read. A highly deserving Five stars Business! Trustworthy people, modern high tech equipments, and very clean office. I’m glad to have found such a great Dental Clinic for my family and myself.

Love, love, love this place! Staff is so friendly and helpful! My dentist Dr. Parker is ver thorough, caring, and professional. Dr. Read did my crowns today and he as well was very thorough, explained everything he was doing, he didn’t rush either, like some other dentist who just show their face and you never see them again, not these guys they are crème de la crème in dentistry, I have already referred 3 friends here!

I highly recommend the dentists at this facility.
They have been taking care of my pearly whites since I was a kid. Friendly, professional staff, great hygienists, and the best dentists.

I am a new patient of Schleicher-​Read Dental. Their staff is extremely friendly and professional. Their offices are very nice and they seem to have all of the latest hi-​tech equipment. I had a crown and two fillings yesterday and Dr. Parker and his staff were wonderful. I highly recommend this place!

I was recommended to this dental office by a coworker when I worked off I10 in Spring Branch area. I have changed my job about 3 years ago and have continued to stay at this dentist office. I usually make my appt last one of the day since it takes me about 45 minutest to get there. I haven’t wanted to change my dentist since I know everything there is great. I have only had one other great dentist office back when I lived in Austin so I know it’s not easy to find a good one.
My dentist has been Read for the whole time until he was out one day and I saw Parker after my cleaning. He found a tooth on my Xray that needed a filling and I just got it filled yesterday. No Problems. Everybody there I talked with has been very nice and very professional. Kidded around with several of them (just the way I roll).
The wait time at any appointment that I have had there has been 10 to 15 minutes usually but sometimes I don’t even have time to start up an app to play a game when they come into waiting area to get me. That’s nice.
In most of the procedure rooms they have some kind of music that is down low. I enjoy that. I usually bring my ipod with earphones just in case but I haven’t needed them for a while.
The only things that I would say that needed attention was that when you get your teeth cleaned I have always been asked at the end of the cleaning which flavor of the pumice that I would like to be used. At this place I have not been asked and they usually only have had wintergreen and some other type like cherry. I prefer to use the orange but they don’t ever seem to have it. Would be a nice to have. :)
Otherwise my teeth have been taken care of quite well here. Thanks to them all is well.

I hadn’t been to a dentist in five years! Five years of ignoring my dental needs. Five years of various excuses. With each passing year, it had become harder to motivate myself to go. It had truly become a sweaty palm type situation, but I decided I could not avoid it any longer lest I start losing my teeth at the ripe ol’ age of 28.
My husband has been going to Dr. Schleicher literally his entire life so I knew this was the easiest way to get back on the proverbial dental health bandwagon.
I am so happy I got it over with. Cavity-​free thank you very much… but that is really irrelevant to the office experience. I will start from the beginning, the front office was friendly and efficient. My appointment was at 11:15, but I arrived early and they were able to see me at 10:50. How often does that happen?
Since it was my first appointment I had to do lots of x-​rays. Now, again, I have not been to a dentist in five years so I want to talk about the technology in this office. I don’t know what type of tech is now standard in dentist’s offices, so this might be like me saying, «hey guys, cell phones now have color screens!» Everything was digital. I got to see my x-​rays immediately and the hygienist and dentist were able to go through my pictures on the computer immediately. They also took 6 digital pictures of my teeth. This was helpful, but creepy. I don’t really enjoy looking at my bicuspids in x20 zoom, but I understand the purpose of it.
Katie was my hygienist and she was so sweet and helpful. She did not scold me for my long absence, but instead welcomed me back and just gently reminded me of the importance of regular checkups. I saw Dr. Schleicher after my cleaning and we discussed some future issues I may have with some old fillings. He was very friendly and reassuring.
Overall I had a very pleasant experience with Schleicher Dental and I will thank my husband, or I suppose my in-​laws, for suggesting a great dentist office. The office is out in the Memorial/​Spring Branch part of town, although I am an inner-​loop snob it was barely 10 minutes from the Heights and conveniently located off of I-​10.
