Sara’s Bed & Breakfast Inn

The food was GREAT Thanks Ms. Jenny. The Jefferson room a/​c is noisy & the lay out is a little weird. (the sink is in the sleeping area not the bathroom).
It’s always nice to meet new people and B&B, instead of staying in hotels. The owner was not the most hospitable the 1^st day. I think I will pass on staying there another time. The place is cute & good is great, the social part (whole reason for coming) lacking.

This house is STUNNING!
We got married 1÷23÷16 at a venue around the corner and decided to stay here for our pre and post wedding. We stayed in the Dallas room and we couldn’t have been happier! The bed was so comfortable, and the tub was a wonderful luxury for our wedding weekend. The breakfast room had a wonderful spread (their coffee machine makes any Keurig look like a joke!), and the staff were very friendly and attentive.
I also want to add that the late/​self check in made everything SO easy for us. It was so nice having check-​in instructions via email, arriving, and getting settled in after a long day of wedding prep. No fuss at a front desk, just come on in, and make yourself at home. Wonderful!
We would definitely stay again!

Sara’s B&B was a welcome change from the chain hotels for the business traveler. The location is centrally situated to downtown and very close to I-​10 and the 610 loop. The room was comfortable and I slept like a baby until the smell of breakfast filled the house. The B&B is ran by very nice people. Loved the historic area.

My wife and I had a great one-​night stay at Sara’s Inn. The location is easy to access and has ample off-​street parking. Our stay was relaxing, comfortable, and quiet. I believe there were only 2 or 3 other rooms occupied that night (it was a weeknight). Breakfast was continental style with a couple made-​to-​order items (we got eggs and pancakes).
One note for improvement: the woman who checked us in and had breakfast with us never introduced herself. I assume she was the owner, but she never told us her name! It’s a little thing, but it would have felt more like an intimate B&B if she had introduced herself.
We would stay there again.

Clean, pleasant hospitable. It was like visiting family, we felt very comfortable. The WiFi worked well, breakfasts were delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone. The owner was there everyday.

My boyfriend and I stayed here a few weekends ago. The inn is idyllic and so clean/​comfy! They have great breakfast options-​including multiple gluten-​free options! The owners are delightful and we enjoyed chatting with them over breakfast. It’s obvious they are invested and dedicated to creating a fabulous experience for guests.

The first feeling I got was a warmth welcome of home! Breakfast is amazing!!! The owners are so sweet and friendly!!! The Austin suit is a must!!! Please check it out!!!

Great location in the Historic District. Well decorated. Breakfast was excellent! The new owners are welcoming!

Beautiful place. Rooms are quiet and private. Breakfast room has plenty of space to move around and actually break out the laptop and get some work done… wifi is great upstairs and downstairs… Jihye the owner was a very acomodating to my needs and a very thoughtful host!

Although Sara’s is a nice place to stay, I have a huge complaint. Over six months ago, when I reserved a room for two nights there, I told the man with whom I spoke (I’m assuming it is one of the owners) that I was staying there the night before and the night of my wedding. He never mentioned that there would be a charge for taking photographs at Sara’s. I wasn’t told anything about that until after I had checked in. They hounded me to pay $ 125 to pay for photographs and for the 15 people I had invited there to get dressed. First of all, I had about 8 people, including the photographer. Second of all, they all arrived to Sara’s dressed. They were there for an hour, and we took a few pictures and then left for the wedding venue. It’s utterly ridiculous to charge your guests to take pictures, especially guests who have stayed at your inn before and were staying for two nights during a weekend in a place that was not even close to full capacity.
On another note, remove the workout equipment from the front of the cottage behind the inn, keep the fountain in working order, and make a few renovations to the balcony, bathrooms, and guest rooms. They are looking rather worn.
I will not be staying at Sara’s again, nor will I recommend others to.

My partner and I came back to town on a Sunday night and found that our air conditioner was broken (in the middle of the Texas heat!). We were a little past the regular check-​in time but Connie was nice enough to accommodate us anyway. It was a short and sweet stay. The home and room were very clean, bed and linens comfortable, and I loved the brownies in the kitchen at night!
Breakfast was a great value and the woman who cooked took care of our every need.
After staying here I’m not sure why anyone would want to stay at a similarly priced hotel!

My partner and I needed a place to just «get away» for a night, and this was absolutely perfect. The owners stay out of your way and just kind of let you be. They provide beautiful, homey rooms (and super comfortable beds!) When the owner gave us a tour, she also mentioned the homemade brownies in the kitchen, as well as the complimentary wine and champagne glasses, should we need them.
All in all a fantastic, hassle-​free hotel option. We will definitely be back!

This place is lovely. Average price will be $ 130 and up, but it’s immaculate, homey, and even somewhat elegant. The breakast lady pushed no waffles (previous reviewer), but instead offered choices of Cajun scrambled eggs, spinach quiche, and homemade breads and rolls. The coffee may come from a European machine, but it’s excellent coffee. The breakfast is worth $ 15 per person (although they’ll charge you $ 10 if you bring in unregistered friends). It’s true that the owners stay out of your way. We assumed that the room had no phone because most people carry their own nowadays. Easy to find on Heights Boulevard off the Katy Freeway and Highway 10.

I was a tad skeptical at first because of the closed on Sunday thing and my previous sketchy experiences with B&Bs. I had a great experience here. The rooms are a nice size and the king bed was tres comfy. We had a private bathroom but some of the rooms have a shared bath.
The inn keepers are friendly but stay out of site, which is the way I prefer it. The women who served breakfast is seriously a waffle pusher so beware.
Took a star off because of the instant coffee, the weak breakfast offerings and the fact the yard is small and not as pictureque as promised.
Great alternative to the corporate hotels.
