There’s a reason why Sam is so well known in Houston. They are prompt, professional and great to do business with. Less than a month before our wedding, the original transportation service we had planned on fell through. I figured we would pay dearly for getting something nice and accommodating on such short notice. My fiancé suggested Sam’s as he had seem several of their vehicles around town. I feared using such a main stream company would result in impersonal service and high prices. Luckily, I was wrong on both accounts. Not only did Sam’s accommodate us on less than 4 weeks notice, but it was also the best price out of all the companies, both big and small, that we looked at. The best part was that they did not charge for stops like most others. We were able to essentially provide transportation service not only for our wedding party but also for some guests that were staying at the hotel where the reception was being held. They basically travelled a constant loop between ceremony and reception. Our driver was very professional and super friendly. Even paying was a breeze. Bonus: the day of, we were surprised with a bigger, nicer bus than we had originally selected — still at the same price. It was delightful surprise and cemented our reasoning that there’s a reason Sam’s is so renowned in Houston.

I handle the travel for a non profit group of young men ages (12 – 17) for the second year in a row we have used Sam’s. Each year our group goes on a different trip always out of state; last year it was Tulsa, Ok, Little Rock, AR and Memphis, TN this year it was Selma, AL, Birmingham, AL, Charleston, SC and Pensacola, FL. Sam’s is always on time to pick up, and has experience drivers to drive the group.
In the past we have used other local bus companies and they others were okay, but Sam’s is the BEST! I have to shop price each year for our trips; and Sam’s rate is always as good if not better than everyone else’s, yet they have newer buses!

I am a middle school teacher and I run an after-​school program for at-​risk students, that I started 3 years ago. We are not funded by the school or the school district. I decided to start a GoFundMe fundraiser to take 25 of my students on a college tour from Houston to the University of Louisiana-​Lafayette. Roughly a 3.5 to 4 hour drive. I chose to go with Sam’s because I liked the «luxury» interior and features that the 36-​passenger «Executive Luxury Shuttle Bus» was shown and said to have been included.
I raised a little over $ 2000 from my GoFundMe account, mostly through donations of friends and family who supported my efforts in exposing the students to higher learning opportunities. Roughly 75% of that money raised went toward renting this «executive luxury» bus that my students would be able to travel COMFORTABLY and in um, LUXURY on. Many of the students had never traveled out of Houston and/​or Texas. I was excited to be able to have them, many who come from low-​income households, be able to experience what life is like on the other side. I gushed to them prior to the trip about how we were going to watch dvds, how comfortable the seats wear and how they would have air conditioning.
Pick-​up time was at 7:30 am, May 21^st at the middle school where I teach. The driver got there not a second sooner. Cool. Before we departed, I handed the driver one of two dvds that I specifically purchased for the trip; granted I would be on the road approximately 8 hours with twenty-​five 11 – 14 year olds. The driver must have known that it didn’t work because after I handed him the dvd, he told me to wait as he called to make sure that it did indeed work. What? Why would that be a normal course of action if you had no prior knowledge of is malfunctioning? It didn’t work. My students were disappointed. 5 screens and not one of them worked. That was one of if not the main reason I decided to rent that bus. About an hour into the drive, water begin spraying onto twelve of the seats located in the rear of the bus. Water also begin streaming down the back wall onto the students, underneath the a/​c unit that was spraying water. I had to ask the driver to turn off the a/​c unit. The bus got hot quickly. We had to decided if we wanted to deal with water spraying or dripping on us or being hot.
Then it begin to rain. Water saturated part of the ceiling around the emergency exit. Five of the windows had water streaming down onto the students to the point that some had to move to other seats or plug holes with paper towels. Some of the siding begin to peel off inside the walls of the bus.
I didn’t want my students to know how upset I was so I kept my cool. I took pictures, though. I informed the driver before he left after dropping us back off that I was displeased with the issues I just stated and that I was going to call and express my displeasure. Even though he ran off the road numerous times and scraped the side of the bus while making a turn, I tipped him for getting us there and back safely.
Then comes the worst part of all. I contacted Sam’s at least 5 times via email and phone before I was able to speak with a manager. Supposedly there were no managers on duty for a whole week. I emailed pictures and explained my issues with the bus to Amy, who is their accounting manager. She told me that she would get back with me after I did. I had to contact her. Eventually, Ben, the office manager calls me and I miss his call. I called him back and he never asked me what was wrong, what my concerns were OR how I thought we could rectify what had happened. He instead, tells me that he looked at the pictures, talked to the driver and heard/​read whatever Amy told him and that they would credit $ 250 back into my account. Sir, you guys charged me $ 100 ($ 50/​hr) for arriving two hours later than the scheduled arrival time due to a standstill on I-​10, in which we had to take a major detour to circumvent. I told him that I would not accept that because it was not enough. He told me that he had spoken with his manager and that was all that they could do. I told him that I would pursue legal actions and then he told me to allow him to speak with his manager again and that he would contact me in one to two days. This was last Thursday. Today is Monday and I hadn’t heard from him so I decided to go to their office. After listening to Ben trying to outbid some other bus company on bus rates to be the number one business to pop up on their site for Houston companies, he greeted me and matter-​of-​factly told me that they offered to credit $ 250 back to my account, I said it wasn’t enough, and basically questioned why I was there. I told him that he, as the manager, never asked of my concerns. He told me that he had spoken with the driver. I told him that I was the customer. He asked what I thought was fair. I told him half. He acted as if I was out of my mind and told me no. I then told him that I would be seeking legal actions and he said ok.

I order my first limo service for my bday. And sams limo delivered all the way. Not only did they make it 15 min before my schedule pick up they made me feel like a king through out my ride around houston. Great service!

This company needs serious passenger safety lessons. On a trip to Kansas City from Houston for a national debate tournament, while in Kansas City the bus driver continuously after being told not to, runs over six red lights and says «I’m gonna take one in Kansas «blatantly putting my fellow debaters in danger and not to mention the staff and coaches. Also on a single decision to go down a back road with this fully loaded bus, he goes around a broken gated sign that says road closed due to construction and end up on a steep hill road in front of a large hole in the ground, tries to reverse and when that happens we slowly moved closer to the whole, just upon our coaches examining the situation we were able slowly move the bus into a lot to the left of the road that lead back to a highway. the risk behind this ordeal. I would not recommend this company to anyone other than people wanting to risk their precious lives.

highly recommend! I rented a 22 person party bus for a wedding we were attending on NYE very last minute, and Ben was a great help in getting me all set up, and very flexible with all of my changes! Our driver was AWESOME, got there right on time in pouring down rain, drove us 2 hours north of houston and was so nice the whole time. The bus was clean and decked out on the inside. Reasonably priced too! Will definitely use again!

I typically take the lead for when it comes to nights out and event planning so I’ve worked with tons of vendors and really appreciate it when I get good customer service. Sam’s Limousine was NOT one.
Sam’s Limousine’s website pricing of a 25 passenger bus on a Saturday with a minimum of 4 hours at $ 150/​hour was within my budget so I filled out the requested quote documentation and sent my inquiry.
They were fast to get back in touch with me with a quote of $ 650 (includes fuel and tax) for one of their 25 – 28 passenger buses. When I followed up the next day to ask about doing 4 hours instead of 5 like the website offers, which would be $ 600, the man on the phone told me, «Oh that’s a typo, it’s a 5 hour minimum».
Even better…
He then also explained that I was verbally miss-​quoted for the $ 650 and the best they could do was $ 800… So apparently they don’t care if they misrepresent their prices TWICE and don’t care about building rapport or keeping their business records in line.
It would’ve been nice if the man said he’d have the manager call me to see what they can do like a 4 hour min instead of 5 but instead it was just «Ok, sorry that person messed up. Don’t know how that happened.» I guess he doesn’t know how the website got that «typo» either.

We used Sams limo for a friend’s birthday last weekend. They were awesome. They were on time and really professional. Our driver was great and had great suggestions on where else to go since we dont go out much and wanted to go somewhere other than where everyone was young enough to be our kids. We would definitely use Sams limo service again and plan to do so when my daughter gets married in a couple of months.

Used this company for an airport pick up and I really liked their service. I highly recommend them for airport transportation. I also heard they have great party buss service which I might try one day

We had a great experience with Sam’s! We got a 10 passenger limo and a 56 passenger bus for our wedding and both drivers were patient, professional, and punctual. The vehicles were in great shape, clean and comfortable. All very important things on your wedding day (or anytime really)!

I called around a few places to get quotes on a party bus. When I called Sam’s Limo to get a shuttle bus for our friend’s 30^th birthday celebration, Lisa from Sam’s Limo said she would upgrade us to the 20 passenger shuttle at no extra cost ($ 500 for 5 hours), but we had to call back right away to book it. My friend did and he was charged something completely different. $ 100 more! He said whatever and booked it. I didn’t complain because I wasn’t paying the bill. Then when the bus arrives to pick us up it so HOT on there, that we all begin to sweat. The girls were miserable and I am sure the guys were even more miserable wearing jeans with long sleeve shirts. The whole time it seemed to get hotter and hotter. I never felt A/​C blowing out. When we made our first stop I talked to the driver and told him how hot it was and he said the A/​C was on. He said the A/​C had been on and the bus was cold but because the doors opened and with all the people on it that is why it got hot. Um, no I have been on party buses before and I am always freezing! Needless to say we continued to sweat to our next destination. On top of this, the radio did not work properly. I brought my Ipod but there wasn’t an adapter (that was my fault), but we got tired of listening to the same 6 songs on the cd that was provided. So when we tried to turn on the radio, all we heard was static. Usually I have so much fun on the bus I never want to get out and go to the bar, but this time we all were ready to be off the hot bus and inside the bar. Waste of money and when I called to complain, they kept putting me off like my opinion didn’t matter. I will NEVER recommend Sam’s Limo to anyone. Horrible service and horrible customer service!!! Two thumbs down!!!

I highly recommend this company if you expect top notch service! From the manager to the driver, everything was handled in such a professional manner. I will definitely be using Sam’s the next time I need to plan an event. I’m not big on having to worry about details, and they certainly did that for me. Big thanks, guys! :)
