We went on Jan 30th& saw a sign on the door saying it’s closed because of violations or unpaid rent.

Not what it used to be since we moved to this side of town and tried it for the first time. We loved it so much, their yakiniku steak was so flavorful, the dipping sauces were better than benihana in my opinion. Maybe business is going down or not putting their total effort. But it’s not the same anymore

1. Service as ok… just ok. 2. My shaggy dog role was 4⁄5 stars. 3. Ordered steak and shrimp hibachi and requested steak medium. The shrimp were cooked well, but the steak was way over done and hard. 4. Mustard dipping sauce was more like watered down ranch dressing. Instead of the usual ginger dipping sauce, we were brought a bowl of soy sauce. All in all, we won’t be returning to this restaurant.

We have been here for 30 min and not gotten anything yet, they don’t have their ginger dressing or any lemonade, I’ll let you know how the rest goes… OK now we are an hour in; update on the bathroom there’s so much grease one of our party fell, I’ll let you know if we ever make it out of here. OK so this was first time I’ve had gristle in steak at a hibachi place and the scallops were overcooked to the point of being rubbery. 1:40:00 we have all our food, overall too much oil\butter and horrible service. What have tried and given many chances its over

I will not be returning here ever. I ordered two sushi rolls to take back to the office at lunch and from the second I walked in I should have known better that to leave with raw fish when the temperature inside the building was hotter than outside. Especially being in Houston Texas… granted it was in the fall but still. There was a film you could feel on the bar as I sat and waited. I didn’t want to touch anything. There were people there so I gave it a shot. When I got back to the office and saw the rolls… OHMY! They were room temp(they were not cooked rolls so they should not have been warm) They were drenched in sauces so you couldn’t even see the inside of the roll… This was not something I had encountered any where else. They didn’t taste good at all and I stopped after just a few bites in fear I would get food poisoning from the warm raw fish. The staff was very nice but the facility and food was very poor quality and I will not be going back or recommending it to anyone I know.

Hibachi is a family favorite in my house and not necessarily for the show but for the freshness and quality of the food. Sakura does not disappoint in that area. This is the only place that we go to for Hibachi because the food is seasoned amazingly. Ask for Ricky! I will agree with some posters that the place doesnt look clean, but I have found those places to be better than others. Dont expect much on service, but the food is delish! Oh and another plus is that it is BYOB!

Our first impression when we walked in was that the floors were very slippery and greasy the table too and my husband had rice on his plate and we hadn’t ordered yet. The menus were very tattered and literally held together with a rubber band. We were the only people on the hibachi side. The food was very good and more than made up for the lack of cleanliness. They had 70s era disco music playing in the background, which we enjoyed. We would be willing to come back again to give them another try

I paid 10 bucks for a bunch of food and it was amazing! The chef are also down to earth and entertaining. Overall it was a great experience. Definitely would recommend this to anyone

Hibachi chef was funny and entertaining. Food was definitely over priced. Restaurant itself feels greasy/unclean. The floors were hazardously slippery. Never a good sign to be great by a bunch of hand written notes taped to the walls. The menus were disgusting… I used napkins as gloves to protect my hands. I know it’s Hibachi but it was entirely too hot. The steam kept flowing in my face and I was sure the large ‘dramatic’ flame they start the show with was going to catch my weave on fire. The shaggy roll tasted pre-packaged. The live singer was great. Not impressed. Much prefer Toro’s. Won’t be back.

We like this place. The food here is in my opinion above average for a Japanese steakhouse. The cooks are awsome, and always a joy. They have a talent for making you laugh, which really helps when dining with small children. We especially love the rice. It’s so moist and flavorful. We never have much left over. I guess that is why I don’t give it 5 star’s. It just seems like we don’t get enough food for what we are paying. But that is pretty universal for this type of restaurants.

3 stars for the food I would put 5 but the menu is overprice. My hubby ordered Togo here just the house fried rice. He spent $ 16 on one order of fried rice. On average it goes for 9.95 at most places. They better be lucky their rice is good!!! I would come back to try the rest of their menu on average price items

ThIs place has had it’s fall from grace. They no longer have their liquor license, the service was ok at best, being the server was incredibly polite and food quality has descended from one of the better sushi houses in NW Houston. The best things about my last 2 meals here was the BoyzIIMen playlist the DJ put on. Sakura you have lost your way, like a Ronin; a masterless samurai.

Never order take out from here. They tell you to come in 15 min and yet I still had to wait almost another 15 for my order. I get to the restaurant and no one else is there except for the employees and a customer at the bar. My first part of my order comes out 2 min after I get there. I wait another 10 min for my sushi since I was told it’s still being made. I’m standing for a good while til I see bartender, that was talking to the customer, go over to the sushi bar and start making my order. Wth!!! He sees me standing and waiting and he takes his damn time to get my order ready. He was drinking at the bar. I think he was also one of the managers. It was so unprofessional. Their liquor license is also expired. Who let’s their liquor license expire??? Don’t bother coming here and giving them your business. This place isn’t going to last much longer. If you want sushi, wait for Top Sushi to open on barker cypress.

We went a bit late– I had a bento box that was very good. The service was very attentive even though it was close to closing time. Weren’t many people in the place– found that a bit surprising. They have a full bar although I didn’t indulge this trip. Their tempura fried ice cream was very good and fresh. Their gyoza was good the dipping sauce outstanding.
