Absolutely love the sushi! I eat there at least twice a week. The Spanish calzone is highly recommended.

The only reason I would recommend this place to anyone is for their sushi. The rest of the menu is blend, not seasoned well and just blah. Tried a few things there, Alfredo pasta which was tasteless, Penini that came out not even crunchy and they forgot an ingredient I asked to add. There is a woman that sometime is there, very rude and unpleasant, honestly if you don’t want to be there, don’t. The sad part is, I think she is one of the owners. It’s just ashame how the restaurant is taking advantage of the people just because they are the only kosher dairy place in town. The ppl of Houston deserve better than blend food and rude service.

Decent/serviceable kosher pizza place. Restaurant is in a very ugly shopping center. Would definitely go back again.

The best kosher dairy eatery in Houston. I live just a few blocks from Saba’s, so I call in my order and it’s ready by the time I get there. The selection is pretty good too.

Food was good(kosher pizza) They was 10 minutes before close and not let us stay(if I own the place my customers service was better on that manor) on Friday the close at 3 when shabath start at 8:25… I keep the 5 stars because I don’t want to hurt. I hope the owner will work different in the future

Great for takeout with friendly service and very close to my house. I tried the falafel plate and a rainbow roll. I enjoyed both but preferred the falafel plate over the roll. I will definitely return to try the pizza, the fries also looked really good.

Very good food and I am not just saying this because I am Jewish. For an everything type restaurant and that is kosher it is amazing. One thing I just noticed though is the website stopped working. It needs to be renewed.

First time visitor. Got my food to go. The place was a little hard to find… It’s tucked on the end of a largely empty shopping center, behind another building. The atmosphere is nothing to get excited about. I got the vegetable lasagne. It is divine. Try this place.

We had to come here because of my coworker’s dietary restrictions. I had the falafel plate for lunch which I enjoyed quite a bit. My coworker ordered a cheese pizza and it looked pretty good. I noticed the majority of people were carrying out pizza so I’m assuming its a popular kosher pizza place. I would go back but would like more diversity.

its good, its Kosher and its cheap(i’m from NYC, so everything is relative) plus the staff was friendly which is something to note if you eat out at Kosher places in NYC.

This place was a real treat! I was in Houston with some co-workers working nearby in the Westbury neighborhood and searched restaurants in the surrounding area. I was surprised to notice how many of the eateries were designated Kosher! I was not too familiar with what exactly this meant and looked it up. My co-workers like to let me pick where we eat for some reason(baffled). I thought this place sounded like it would appeal to all different types of people since it offers all different types of food. When we drove up, my co-workers were very doubtful. Saba’s is located in one of the ugliest run down shopping centers I’ve seen, but don’t let that deter you! They offered ALL different kinds of food, plenty of American food(actually the majority was America) as well as pizza, sandwiches, paninis, Italian, calzones, soups, Mexican, salads, falafels etc etc. What I did not notice that my co-worker noticed was they offered hardly any meat dishes. My carnivore meat eating co-workers were stunned by this and one ordered a tuna sandwich, the other an egg salad sandwich, and the other ordered salmon kabobs which looked amazing paired with grilled zucchini and squash. I was boring and ordered the baked ziti which was great. I also tried a spinach boureka(phyllo dough filled with spinach). All very good. Everyone that walked in here or who was dining here seemed to be Jewish Orthodox, the women wearing skirts almost to their feet and men sporting long beards and yamakas. For me, I love being immersed in different cultures and trying new foods. I enjoyed my experience here immensely. *Take note that the only meat they offer here is seafood, so if that’s an issue you might want to go somewhere else.

Its nice to have a kosher place in houston, coming from out of town. The menu has been updated and looks really great. They have really expanded the options. Pizza is pretty good as well.

I must first give an A+ for their outstanding cappuccinos! The coffee here is outstanding and they make incredible espresso drinks. The food is excellent, and of course, kosher! My favorite aspect is that everything is fresh made. I know that there are no preservatives in my food and it gives me great comfort in knowing that the owners care about the quality of the food that I eat. I love this restaurant and frequent it often. I also use them for catering!

Easy to say — the pizza was awesome. We ordered a large and it was enough for 3 people. The cost was about $ 14, so split by three, it’s a deal. The crust was perfectly done and was amazingly fresh. We had the mushrooms, spinach and chopped garlic with a light spread of sauce. AWESOME. I haven’t been on Unilocal to review in who knows how long, but this place made me want to Unilocal! The ambiance is pretty dreadful, no music and very few tables. It is also located in a shady area, but is totally worth it. For some reason the macaroni and cheese they serve is $ 10, but maybe it’s worth it. Hummus was thick and pretty tasty, but was missing a hint of something tangy. Definitely a go for vegetarian pizza.

Reviewing yet another Kosher restaurant(and no I’m not even Jewish!) Saba’s is located in what is possibly the worst looking strip mall in Houston. The Fondren area is shady period with all of its cheap apartment complexes… Saba’s does not serve meat, since Kosher means you cannot mix meat and dairy and pizza includes cheese! The mushroom bourekas(phyllo dough filled with mushrooms) are yummy and the pizza is pretty darn good. But what I couldn’t personally get enough of was their veggie lasagna. Overflowing with tons of yummy veggies, thick sheets of pasta and soaked in really good marinara sauce. Oh my goodness in fact I want some right now! On my next trip to this place I plan on trying the hakshuka, which is spicy eggs with diced vegetables in it, sounds cool huh? Lots of other good Israeli food: falafels, hummus, eggplant dishes and those Middle Eastern taquitos I mentioned in my Suzie’s Grill review… They have also recently started serving sushi, which is an interesting twist…
