Working in sales in the Medical Center, finding innovative catering is a constant challenge. You can’t impress your customer by bringing them the same old thing. This is not the same old thing. I was recently at an all day meeting, and Roots Personal Chef and Catering brought in our lunch. Delicious chicken in a mushroom and shallot sauce, crisp, fresh green beans, and creamy mashed potatos were a huge hit. The rolls were warm and soft. I have to say that the hilight was the oolong iced tea strawberry lemonade. Hard to imagine until you try it, and then incredibly hard to put down. What really set Roots apart was the enthusiasm with which they accomodated special diets. The vegetarian was served a beautiful roasted butternut squash filled with quinoa. An allergy sensitive diner had his own pork chop ready to go. All of that, and they were on time(early) and reasonably priced. I grabbed a handful of cards on my way out. I love supporting small businesses, especially when they nail it. Way to go, Roots!
