I came here to buy a dart board and some darts for a housewarming gift. The lady in there was very nice and knowledgeable. She let me try out a number of different style and weighted darts. She was very nice to my kids and let them play on a magnetic dart board while I shopped. I have used the darts a few times, that I got from there, and I like them very much. The dartboard is a very nice quality and wasn’t overly expensive. I highly recommend this place if you’re into darts or any fun games of that nature.

I heard from a ton of people that this is the place to go to get a good set of darts. They were right! I drove all the way from Spring to visit this little store and was not disappointed! They let me try all the different darts out and helped me with all the accessories. It was impressive as I am a beginner in the dart world! Definite plus is that they do a Military Discount! I will definitely be back!!!

This place rocks ALL the socks! Not only do they have a great darts(and parts — fins, shafts, name it) selection, but it’s the best place I’ve found to buy discs if your a disc golfer! Huge selection(primarily Innova, but that’s my favorite brand to throw so it’s perfect for me). Otherwise, they’ve got all sorts of really neat games and such — unique too! The customer service is fantastic as well! The staff are always extremely friendly and more than helpful if you need it. All in all, I love this place :) Wish I had taken a picture for y’all!

I’ve been going to Rick’s Darts and Games to feed my dart collecting addiction since 2011. Over the years, Rick and Loretta have been very patient and kind answering all my questions regarding darts and have provided a wealth of knowledge on how to improve my game. I’m no where close to throwing like Phil Taylor, but have seen a great deal of improvement, all thanks to Rick’s tutorials. In an age where friendly, personalized customer service is no longer the norm, Rick’s Darts and Games stands out as Houston’s #1 spot for anything dart related as well as kites, disc golf or board games such as chess and backgammon.

Rick and Loretta take very good care of their customers. They spend time with their customers and don’t rush us out like modern day chains do. If you are a dart novice or intermediate player Rick will even happily give you pointers on your game if you ask him. He knows his stuff. I love Mom and Pop shops like this and hope you will come see them. They also sell any kind of game you can think of… poker accessories, chess, travel games… Rick’s is a great place to buy someone a gift.

Rick is such a sweetheart! I love supporting all of Houston’s mom and pops stores and this particular store gets my #1 vote! Not only is the owner super nice, but extremely informative and clearly passionate about his business. Their price to me is reasonable, but most importantly I walked in with little to no knowledge about darts and thanks to Ricks 20 minute crash course I’m going to kick some butt tonight! Thank you! You guys are freakin awesome!

Earlier this year I took an old kite into Rick’s, hoping he could help me find the struts that had been lost. Rick took the time to try to find something that would work from his suppliers and, when he was unable to do so, went to the trouble to look through his personal collection of kites and supplies. He was able to find something that would work well and I was able to pick up my kite yesterday. In addition, he gave me some good pointers on how to take care of this kite. I was very impressed with his kindness and personal service — at no charge! Wow! If you ever need anything related to kites, darts, or games of any kind, please stop or call this shop — they’re the epitome of old-fashioned service and advice.

I come here for my darting needs. Today was my first time to visit the new location. Second attempt — the first time(pretty soon after the move) iphone maps lied and the number I guess wasn’t set up yet in the new store? But the note on the website I see now«same shopping center as Fox & Hound» helped this time around. There isn’t a big sign over the actual store, but it IS there — one of the 5 open establishments in that shopping center. They are always helpful & super nice. Today when I walked in, for some reason I completely lost my train of thought and just held out my darts and said I need, then just pointed at the end. She was probably about 4 feet away and goes«Oh, you need so-and-so shaft, and pointed those out, new flyers too? same kind?» Boom, right there. There might be just one kind of part but diff sizing, either way, it was a quick visit. I think the receipt took longer to print than her showing me what I needed. As far as pricing, I am clueless to what is standard, but the parts were cheaper than I expected them to be. I honestly don’t know where else one would go if this place didn’t exist.

Before I moved to Houston, I had never heard of people playing darts for fun or in bars, much less for competition. Rick’s Games and Darts opened up my eyes to the world of darts! My boyfriend plays darts on a semi regular basis and was in the mood for a new set. You can’t deny the family feeling at Rick’s. They eagerly show you tons of different darts, explaining the differences and options for a novice like myself. Rick picked out a perfect set for me and let me test them on their boards. Customer service was awesome. Their selection of darts is also great, as is their selection of discs for frisbee golf(actually a legit sport apparently!), games and puzzles — some being quite obscure, nostalgic and kooky. The darts seemed expensive to me, but having no experience in purchasing darts, I really have no idea if they are overpriced. Downside: Located in a sort of sketchy strip mall.

While I’ll admit that they mark up their goods a bit, the service and help is undeniably worth the trip out here. Rick’s is known mostly for their darting goods and they do not disappoint. A few months back, Adam O. got the hubby playing darts and he got hooked. Then we discovered Ernie’s on Banks where they have great dart boards that are free all the time. Now he’s obsessed. The hubs had his birthday in December so I went to Rick’s to buy him his very first dart set. I did some research online and asked some friends that play. I went in expecting to buy a set around $ 50. The service was wonderful. They have a great policy for returns(especially since this was a gift) and they have boards there to try out the different weights and lengths. They have a HUGE selection of flights, though not collegiate ones(boo!). We just went back yesterday(my hubby’s first time in there) and it was a great experience where the lady let us try out the different lengths of accessories. Plus, they had their cases on sale, so even better! The rest of the store is dedicated to other types of games(not to be confused with gaming necessarily). They had some nice chess sets, poker sets, puzzles, yo-yos, kites, and board games. The hubby has also been getting into yo-yo-ing, so perhaps I’ll be back to get one of those to feed his ever growing list of addictions!

This store absolutely rocks! Darts of all sorts(I’m not that technical of a darts player, but the people who work here definitely are), hundreds of chess sets, and all sorts of other gaming needs.(Not that kind of gaming… this is the kind where you might interact with another person«IRL».) They sell board games, too, with a focus on the less-common games(think: Settlers of Catan, not Pictionary). This is a great store for teachers, table gamers and dartists, or anyone who’s looking for a better way to kill a Saturday afternoon.
