I’ve been a long time patient of Dr. Qaiser Rehman. Before today, I would have provided a great rating. I have to visit Dr. Rehman every 3-months for a chronic ilness. When I went in March, before I could see the doctor, I had to pay an outstanding balance. I have NO issues paying what is due. However, I asked for a Statement of Account and was not provided one. Knowing that I do have a small deductible to meet per year I went ahead and paid the balance. I went back for my follow-up visit today and was told that I had another large balance due. Again, I asked for a statement and did not receive one. I needed to see the doctor today and would have paid the balance and visited with the office manager to get a printed statement afterwards. I attempted to provide a debit/credit card and was advised that they stopped accepting credit card payments in June. I asked the front desk why he hadn’t sent out notifications to his patients advising his new payment policy and was advised that while it was recommended he did not feel it necessary. I understand that Dr. Rehman has a business to run. I’m all for free enterprise. I DO have major issues with a doctor changing his payment policies and not notifying patients. I DO have issues with a doctor who will not provide a break down of fees owed.
