RCW Nurseries is one of the oldest and largest full service nurseries serving the Houston area. We carry a huge selection of shrubs, roses, perennials, herbs, annuals, palms and fruit trees. RCW also grows its own shade and ornamental trees, in over 150 varieties, which have been chosen for their suitability on the Gulf Coast. RCW also carries a wide variety of gardening supplies including soils, stone, pottery, and statuary. Our garden shop has an extensive selection of organic gardening supplies. Landscaping, special orders and delivery are available.

Come wander through four acres with knowledgeable nursery professionals available to help you with your gardening needs. The staff at RCW averages over 20 years experiences each, in the Houston area, and you can be helped in seven different languages. The nursery also has many very large bird cages filled with rescued birds and there is a turtle pond, creating a charming place to take the kids or have a picnic lunch.

History

Established in 1979.

In 1979, three soon to be retired Shell employees, Robertson, Cox and Williamson, decided to try their hand at landscaping and a nursery was born. Within a few years, Robertson and Cox sold thier interest in the venture, leaving the Williamson family as sole owners. The nursery has grown to fill most of it’s 4 acre location and supplies professional landscapers and do it yourselfers. Over the last 10 years RCW has become a destination for organic gardening supplies. The Williamson family started a tree farm in Plantesville on a 50 acre parcel, that supplies RCW with the finest container grown trees from 15 gallon to 200 gallon in size. The companies emphasis has always been to offer quality landscaping plants and materials accompanied by expert, no nonsense advice.
