It seems like everything is discounted, we saw the same drone at sharper image for $ 270, they had it for $ 200 here.

I broke my laptop charger and I went in to buy a new one. The man helped me buy just the piece I needed saving me $ 10-​$ 20. He was very nice and the facility is very clean. I would definitely come back.

Popped into this store after not even noticing it and driving by for years…
After About 5 minutes in the store, I realized why I drive to Taylor street to a much newer, cleaner and friendlier radio shack…
When I first entered the store the two store clerks were busy helping other costumers. Which is fine but at some point in the 10 minutes I stood there someone should have looked up and said they would be with me shortly. Once I finally was helped by the sales guy, I informed him that I needed a charger for my Blackberry and a USB cord to connect my laptop to my Tv…
He quickly informed me that my phone was old that that I didn’t need a new $ 20 charger but the new iphone4 that cost $ 700 that came with a free charger… I laughed and told him that my Blackberry was actually new and used as a work phone and I wasn’t interested in spending $ 700…
He then informed me that I should switch phone providers from Sprint to AT&T to get an iphone… I then informed him that I needed unlimited minutes that Sprint provides and AT&T does not…
He told me I was stupid that I should switch to 450 anytime minutes with AT&T and get unlimited mobile to mobile… I again informed him that I did indeed need more than 450 minutes per month for LAN lines for my job… HE growled and walked away and told me he couldn’t help me find a USB cord because he didn’t know what size the USB is on my TV …
Umm… they come in two sizes right? Not rocket science yes? I am in Radio shack???
So rude… I will drive an extra 10 minutes to another radio shack that is helpful :(

Well located amidst the combination of the faded hip glory and gentrification of Montrose, this strip-​center location endures for decades. The staff is generally helpful and knowledgeable. I pick up odd tech items at this location about once a month or so. I had a bad experience a couple of hours ago when I brought in two RCA male plugs cabled to a 1/​8″ male plug attached to ¼″. Sound complicated? I asked if «Ashley» could test these to see if they worked. She curtly replied «We don’t have the equipment to test this». I have been patronizing RS since the 60’s and I had NEVER been outrightly dismissed in this fashion. «Chris» chimed in and repeated Ashley’s statement. A NORMAL RS employee would have said, «We have that plug configuration for about 5 bucks. Buy it, take it home, see if works. If it does your plugs were faulty, if not bring them back with you receipt for a full refund.» Hard to find good help sometimes!

Gotta love Houston. Sandwiched between Slick Willy’s Pool Hall and the Exotic Cabaret lingerie shop, what do you find but Radio Shack. This is a good sized store that still carries electronics components for the hardcore geeks in the crowd. The clerks are friendly and know their stuff and the inventory is kept up and complete.
