My fiancé and I rented a U-​Haul trailer and assumed one of the U-​Haul locations near our home (in City Centre) would have an available trailer. The location of the trailer was a business on Long Point Rd.
Upon arrival, it was immediately clear we had been sent to a rather seedy location. One can hardly tell it’s a U-​Haul dealer (please refer to picture.) There is a tiny sign in the window indicating this.
My fiancé had reserved the trailer he needed ahead of time, leaving them plenty of time to prepare their inventory accordingly. After he arrives and completes the paperwork, he is directed to a trailer that is shoved behind two other trailers and partially in a ditch. He was offered no assistance and moved the obstacles himself.
Their claimed «hours» are hilarious. Our paperwork required us to return the trailer back to them «by 10:00 AM» which sounds to me like you are able to return it BEFORE 10:00 AM. They «open at 10:00 AM.» We arrived at 9:30 AM thinking they would be open, due to the wording in our paperwork. It is now 10:30 AM with no sign of any employees. There are others waiting outside the door as well.
How RIDICULOUS. If you’re looking for professionals or just prefer a business that adheres to its displayed hours… go elsewhere.
Also, a helpful tip– I personally would not feel comfortable or in any way safe coming here alone.
