Pump It Up

We came here for our nephew’s 5^th birthday party. It’s is very age appropriate and the staff really make sure things run smoothly.
When you walk in, you sign in and parents sign waivers for their kids. They have huge hampers for you to put gifts in for the birthday child that is labeled. You go to the first room and the party has the whole room to themselves for a set period of time. There are 3 inflatables that everyone enjoyed. My brother in law also paid extra for superheroes to come out, so Batman graced us with his presence. What’s cool is they have massage chairs in all the rooms for parents to sit and relax. Of course you gotta throw in a few bucks, but I’d rather invest in that rather than the air hockey machine! At a certain point they line up all the kids and take them into the next room they call the arena. It’s a bigger space with bigger inflatables. The staff make sure to bring in all the shoes and what not to the new room. This time Spider-​Man visited us and he was a hit with the kids.
On a side note, I noticed the staff was going around the whole party taking pictures with a digital camera. After the second room, they take you into the room where they do the food and cake. They have a flat screen set up, and it displays all the pictures from the party. I thought that was pretty neat. The pizza they cater is from Russo’s (review to follow), which was amazing.
All in all, a great party! They make it fun for the children and stress free for the parents!

I would not recommend this place to anyone for a birthday party! The attractions (bouncy houses and slides etc) are very old and worn down. They cover the tears and shabby appearance with large tarps that cause the kids to slip. There was absolutely no oversight or supervision while the kids were playing. The playrooms and party rooms are very dirty. Our party room was so dirty that our shoes were literally sticking to the floor. The service is terrible. They are rude and do not listen to instructions you provide for your event setup (since you are not even allowed to enter the party room prior to your party time) and then they pressure you to leave an additional tip (even though an initial tip is already included in the party price). One of the staff members harassed me before myevent was even over and while I was chatting with guests to take care of the bill! Really??? Couldn’t you wait until I was checking out?! They literally shuffle people out of the rooms for the next party coming through. You barely have a chance to grab your shoes and personal items. When we were moved to the party room for food and cake, a staff member lit the candles on the birthday cake to start singing before the birthday girl even had a chance to put her shoes on and get to the room! They rush you to a point that just feels so chaotic as if you aren’t paying close to $ 600 for just an hour and a half. We still had about 15 minutes of our party left and staff members starting picking up our items and plates (while guests were still eating) and throwing them onto a cart to haul it out stating they had to setup for the next group! The staff members are very lazy and frankly worthless. We had to tell them to clean up spills that they just walked right over and ignored. A few kids almost slipped. A staff member left a giant cake cutting knife right next to the cake on the table where kids were grabbing cake plates. It was just awful. This place needs to be shut down.

Been here with grandkids a year ago and they had loads of fun. Came again today and they still have lots of fun.
However, the place shows its wear and tear. Equipment seems to be worn out, not enough seats for accompanying adults, men’s room with a broken partition, place too small for the number of kids allowed in, and price is same for the two hours slot even if you get in late and use only one hour.

My sister held my nephews birthday party here… The day before the party my sister called to confirm the party and add on more pizza and drinks. They were didn’t seem like they cared to be on the phone and almost as if we were bothering them by ordering ahead of time. The day of the party I arrived late and the people at the front desk sent me to a room that my party was not in… then they sent me to another room where they were not either… Finally after wandering around we found my party. They were in one of the gyms with the inflatables and that room had a horrible smell. It smelled dingy, dirty, and mildew-​y… Also it was hot, like no working A/​C hot… the children were drenched in sweat and parents were uncomfortable. Then my sister called me into the party room so we could set up… There was an attendant but she was no help… she kind of just kept opening packages and delegating tasks to the other attendant…
When they started ushering the kids into the room the party attendant started yelling at the kids, «Come in and sit down… find a seat!» She kept repeating that… I feel that she could have done it in a more cheery manner… It’s a party not a prison. She kept yelling orders to the kids and their parents… When they started handing out pizza and drinks I felt they could’ve handled that better too… They were just so rude and made it seem like they were bothered when a kid asked for a certain pizza or something.
We also paid extra to have them take pictures for us… but that was a waste of money because they didn’t get any good pictures. Plus they didn’t even have the decency to orient the picture right up before adding a watermark… so a picture would be on its side with the watermark right side up…
I also hated how they just threw all the presents into garbage bags… they didn’t care that packages were damaged by doing this.
I am no impressed but luckily my brother in law is generous because he tipped them very fair… I wouldn’t have been so nice… When you are in the service industry you must give great service if you want to receive a generous gratuity… and just because you are hosting a childs party does not give you the opportunity to be rude…

We had my son’s birthday party here and it was lots of fun! I love that the parties are private and closed to the public for birthdays. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and interacted well with the kids. They took pictures of my son’s birthday party, while we entertained the guests and kids. Other places have restrictions and age limits for the inflatables, but Pump It Up allows adults to go down the slides and jump with the kids. It makes it more fun, especially if you have younger kids. I highly recommend this place for kids parties. Pay for at least 5 minutes of the bubble machine. It’s worth it, the kids love it!

The place was ok. It was the lack of service with the expectation of a big tip that is bothersome.
There was no one watching/​monitoring the children as promised. No help getting the gifts to the car etc. no help cutting cake, passing out food…
When I was paying, the owner lectured me on tipping. She explained the tip was much to low. If there had been anyone to tip, I would have happily done so.

We were in Texas recently and looking for a play place nearby we ended up visiting Pump it up. It similar to the bounce u near our home. It was moderately clean. My child enjoyed the visit although it was more work for us climbing up and down the bouncers with a toddler. I would have given a 5 star if it wasn’t for all the sick kids coughing and sneezing all around. I wish these places enforce the rules when it comes to sick children and play places.

i planned my nephew and niece’s birthday party here this weekend and im disappointed in our experience with pump it up. the kids and adults had fun, which is why one reason why they got three stars. service was great, the employees were VERY polite for the most part and that’s the second star. the moon walks in this place were great, star 3. now for the negatives.
1. i was told that they would be «more than happy» to provide both birthday kids with blow up crowns. no crowns were given to them.
2. phototouch. when i showed up to the party, there was no one taking pictures. i asked an employee and he said i think he just stepped out. when we got into the room, there were only like 10 – 15 pictures on repeat. and not very good ones.
3. FOOD! oh my goodness gracious! this was the WORST part. i was told that i had to order additional pizzas (to the original 5 that we get with the package) the friday before the party and i did so. once i got into the room, there were ONLY 5 pizzas at the table. i asked them where the rest of the pizzas are, and the employee tells me that we can order more but it’ll get here for the last 10 minutes of the party. SERIOUSLY?! i mean, it was the most embarrassing thing. people were standing around looking for more food. some people didn’t even eat. on top of that, pizzas were COLD. one of the kids wouldn’t even eat it. luckily the pizza place is a walk away and i went ahead and ran over there to order some more. they tell you that there 15 slices in each pizza, but these are probably the smallest slices ever. im still not even sure if we were comped back the money that we paid for the additional pizzas.
4. water. seriously y’all! don’t you think you’re charging enough to host a party here? what else do you want us to pay for? the air we breathe? kids are thirsty after jumping around for so long! i get that it’s a business thing but thats just a little crazy to me.
5. the one table in the party room wasn’t enough for 15 kids. the party was supposed to be for 25.
i think that this is a nice party venue for parents who would rather have someone else plan their kids birthday party, but i probably wouldn’t ever do this again. im starting to think that 2 stars are more like it.

Amazing service for our 2 year old daughter’s bday! Great hostesses and coordinators! The kids and adults had a blast! Great deal and stress free because they take care of everything. The room and tables matched my sesame street theme, therefore I saved on decorations. Thanks, Jazel, Maritza, Julian, Jason & Adolfo…& one more guy that took my stuff to the car for your excellent service!

This place is dirty. We went to a birthday party here two weeks ago. The kids had fun on the slides and such, of course, but it struck me when we were herded into the food room that this place might not be the cleanest when they were serving the food with plastic gloves. I didn’t think too much about it, and my family didn’t even eat any of the food. Two days later, we started getting colds and fevers. It turns out that almost everyone who went to the party got sick. DISGUSTING. Then I reflected back to the gloves and the way the shuffle groups from room to room all day long. There’s no way they clean this place.

My nieces insist on having their birthday parties here every year. It’s a pretty good value for what you pay. As the hosting parent, you don’t have to worry about cleaning up after your guests leave.
It always works the same way. First, the kids in your party are directed to their own private play room where they get to bounce around for the subscribed time as grownups sit around, take photos, and watch the kids. The Pump It Up staff does supervise the playroom, and you can even elect to have a photographer take photos during the playtime. After that time is up, an employee will direct the party to a private dining room to enjoy food, drinks, sing happy birthday, and have birthday cake.
Parents provide decorations and food, which is served by their employees. Fortunately, NY Pizzeria is next door and kids love pizza. They have flat screen TVs in the private dining area that display photos from the playtime. Pretty good deal in my book. Plus, the kids have a blast and that’s most important, right?

Maybe I am missing something here. I have called like 6 times in the last 3 days to find out the hours and all we get is the website which is not very helpful because the calendar simply says no events available. We are trying to find some open play time but without talking to a human being it’s going to be difficult. All all the franchises this way?

This place is great for kids parties but it’s also great for grownups. I know I’ve been here a few times for private grownup parties and this event was fun for everyone who attended. I just wish that the time-​spans were not so short. You end up getting about an hour to actually jump around in the various rooms, and once the staff member states that it is time to move into the next room (after maybe 30 min), EVERYONE must follow. So things are a little bit too pressured here. The last hour is always reserved for the party room whenever I come to a party here. So eat your food, cut your cake, and again, time’s up before you realize it.
Bottom line: This place is fun for adults or children, but the time constraints that come with having/​attending a party here are very restrictive and can put a damper on the party. (Maybe this kind of structure is a good thing for large groups of children, but for adults, it seems a bit much.)

This place isn’t so bad if you prefer that the party is structured and to a set schedule. Like most operations of this sort you get to play in one room for a set period of time before they shuffle you to the next room for another session. Each room has different inflatables and at the end everyone gathers in a dining room of sorts where they feed you pizza and drink and cake (I think you have to bring this but not sure). So again your in, you play, then your out and its over with. Convenient if you like your party to be that way.

This place is flat-​out awesome. Great place to have a kid’s birthday party, or just let off a little steam. $ 7 for a kid, and adults are free with kids. They are special-​needs friendly, as once a month they reserve space for the Autism Meet-​Up. Clean and in good repair with friendly and thoughtful staff. I’ve had nothing but good experiences here.

I am reviewing this from the attendee perspective. Each room has its own bounce equipment, so that is pretty nice. There are about 4 – 5 large items to bounce around on.
There is seating within the room for the grown ups. Off of the large bounce room is a smaller «eating» room where you can actually have the kiddos eat.
Seemed like a pretty good setup. I don’t know what the costs are, but from my perspective I would maybe even have an adult bounce party it was so cool.
