Protect Your Home – ADT Authorized Premier Provider

CROOKS! These people are absolutely unbelievable. Do not listen to a word they say. Not a single word. As I was informed tonight, it’s not what they say, it’s what you sign that matters. False advertisement, false representation, they supposedly can say whatever they want becuase you can’t prove what they said.
Slam the door in these people’s face if they try to come in your house. I’m currently battling a $ 708 fine, even though I transferred my ADT service to my new house. Avoid these people at all cost.

I would recommend going directly through ADT rather than using the Protect Your Home authorized dealer. I thought I was going through ADT until they arrived at my home. I am sure the installer earns a commission on anything sold on site because he used some of the most hard core sales tactics I have ever witnessed. He was rude and condescending, even to the point of stating that by reading the contract before I signed, I was making him late to his next appointment.
I later had to have service to the system which was arranged through ADT, not the Protect Your Home dealer. The ADT technician asked how long ago I had the system installed because the glass breakage units installed on the windows were old technology. This occurred three months after installation.
I should also point out that one of the window glass breakage units was malfunctioning causing the alarm system to go off intermittently throughout the day and night. Additionally, the base unit was malfunctioning. Once, it sent a signal to the firehouse and paramedics showed up at my door. I missed the warning telephone call because I was on the phone trying to set up a service call when the malfunction occurred.
I never did get resolution through Protect Your Home, but I was able to schedule a service call with an ADT technician. After listening to, working on, and resolving the issues with my security system, the ADT technician apologized for what I had experienced and did not charge me for the service call. I have not had any subsequent system malfunctions.
I think ADT offers good service, but I recommend making sure you go directly through ADT and avoid Protect Your Home.
