My home warranty company sent out a man from Professional Building Performance on Saturday July 4th. Unfortunately, this man indicated to me that he was unqualified to determine the specifics of the needed repair for an apparent leak. He told me that because he couldn’t do anything, someone else from Professional Building Performance would come out on Monday July 6 and that the office would call to schedule a time when they opened on Monday morning. This man told me that he could put Freon on the unit to get it going again in the meantime. However, he wanted me to pay him $ 50/lb. Also, he tried twice to talk me into paying him directly for the repair instead of using Fidelity Home Warranty. I called the office at 8 am on Monday morning about my 2nd appointment. I called again at 11 am as I had not heard from them. The receptionist did not know who came to my house on Saturday or why a second visit was needed. No report or information had been turned in from the guy who was sent on Saturday. Furthermore, she said someone could not come until Tuesday. When I insisted that her employee promised me a 2nd visit on Monday, she gave me an appointment from 4 – 6 pm. No one came or called during that time frame. I never heard from them again. I believe that this company wanted me to pay them directly and when I chose to continue with Fidelity, they just completely blew me off.
