The sandwiches are great but its always a cluster frak of confusion at the end of the line with trying to get your toppings.

Though many times a franchise can be on and off from location to location, I have frequented this tunnel location a few times now with the results being good enough to deserve a review. Todays venture included the farm house salad… and that salad was the size of a farm house(I really appreciate the fact that I ask for lots of bacon and the young lady glady hooked me up). I tried both vinaigrettes(house and balsamic) and they were both very enjoyable. The mix of greens, grape tomatoes, cucumber, egg, chicken and bacon with the blue cheese was AWESOME… plus I stuffed my face while both my friends finished their sandwiches, chips and drinks then they had to watch me finish the other half of my salad… great deal and really fresh. I could really have done without the homeless guy hitting me up for coins as I ate-but other than that all was good.

I love Potbelly. Their chicken salad with the addition of the hot pepper mix is truly spectacular. The spice, the texture, it’s delicious. This location now shows their calorie counts, which is great, but not when you like chicken salad, because it’s loaded with calories. I don’t know why places don’t make chicken salad with low fat mayo? This last visit I got some delicious sweet potato pop chips. This will be a regular spot for me in no time.

This is a breakfast review as I’ve never been for lunch. I went to another potbelly location and had some of the best banana walnut oatmeal I’ve ever tasted. I’ve been trying to replicate the experience with no results. The customer service at this location was great, but when I got back to my desk and opened my oatmeal, it was basically warm water with oatmeal bits in it. And it was cold. Disappointed.

Cheap, good and fast. Great little chain of sandwich shops.

Tastier than Quizno’s and Subway, but with a smaller sandwich size. The staff is fun and friendly even with the barrier of the counter between you. Whatever your choice of sandwich, the most delicious deal lies with getting an original size with double meat. The turkey sub is good but I’m a fan of the chicken and cheddar cheese with bacon and ranch. If you find yourself lost and hungry in or near the downtown tunnel at lunch, point your compass towards Potbelly.

I don’t get all the Potbelly hype. The sandwiches are no better than Subway, half the size, and almost $ 6. I’ve never gotten full off a Potbelly sandwich. I used to be vegetarian and eat their meatless sandwiches, which was a terrible deal since all sandwiches are the same price. Then, I tried chicken salad, which was pretty bland. I will say that their spicy pickle mix is really good. But I’d rather go to Jimmy John’s or Brown Bag, where both the meats and the bread are better.

I am glad I don’t have to walk all the way to The Park Shop Mall thanks to the new location. I love Potbelly due to putting the hot pepper mix on sandwiches.

Located in the tunnels beneath Reliant Plaza, Potbelly Sandwich Works is another entry into the downtown sandwich market, and, honestly, it is not a great addition. I ordered the Bigs Turkey on white and added bacon, tomatoes, pickles, peppers, and«Italian Seasoning.» Initially, I was impressed by the shear weight of my sandwich. I mean, you could break a car window with this thing. The when I unwrapped it, I was met by grease. I presume it mostly came from the bacon, but it was only two strips of bacon, so I’m not sure why it was so greasy. The peppers were a mix of red and green peppers with some carrots in a hot brine, and were pretty toasty on the tongue. The turkey was fine, I suppose, and veggies were fresh. The«Italian seasoning» didn’t seem to add much. I also ordered a cup of chicken noodle soup, and it was the best part of the meal. Even still, it didn’t blow me away. The service was friendly at least, so that was nice. Really, though, this place did not really impress me. I don’t know how to put it. Nothing was particularly bad, but nothing stood out at all. Quiznos is a hair cheaper and tastes the same, with more options. I might give this place another chance, if I happen to be that direction, but I find the shop next to it to be more appetizing.
