Plaza at Westchase Apartments

The community is very good. I like the staff who are very helpful. Plaza at westchase is located where you will find most of the store in 2 miles range. Community is clean and secured too.

We have been living for over a year now at Plaza at Westchase and have only good things to say about this place!
To start with, the whole office team is extremely friendly and made the move-​in process feel very comfortable. Throughout our stay they have been very helpful in everything and are just very cheerful in general!
The amenities are maintained very well and have never had a issue with the pool, fitness center equipment, common use grills or anything else in general.
The unit itself is very well constructed and maintained and except for regular wear and tear related issues, we never faced any problems and even these are addressed really quickly. Also you can submit your tickets online (their website is mobile friendly as well!) We have had every issue resolved within 24 hours (even minor ones) and the maintenance guys are also very friendly.
They also throw some parties once every couple of months which are fun and you get to meet your neighbors and make new friends!
In terms of neighborhood, this is a great place and you have every kind of store possible within a half mile radius. Target, H.E.B, Walmart, Kohl’s, Walgreen’s and many more stores are within a half mile radius and so are some great places to eat! Think of a cuisine and it’s there! Also some decent bars in the vicinity, Just across the road is a Fox n Hound and Skybox (decent bar with about a dozen pool tables).
Close to major hospitals. CVS right opposite.
The only minus is the availability of parking spots and if you come back late in the evenings, you may have to walk a bit as chances of finding a spot close to your apartment may be slim if you are living close to the front of the complex. However, it wouldn’t be more than a 5 – 10 minute walk from anywhere you park.
Overall, we have been extremely happy with our stay here and if we come back to Houston, this is the place where we would stay!

I have lived here for three years and my experience has been absolutely wonderful. The staff is amazing. They are very professional and extremely helpful. It is a convenient location and close to great shopping, food, and fun. Also, if you have maintenance problems, most are resolved within 24 hours. If there are issues with the air conditioning, that gets immediate attention. Lastly, I moved in when they were offering a great special rate and since that time, my rent has not increased substantially.

I like the quiet setting. It’s ironic how this complex is in the heart of all noise yet it is quiet. The large trees tuck it away from sight. Most of my friends are aware of this place but they don’t know exactly where it is because it’s a hidden gem. Moreover, what I love about this place is the value I get for my money. My wife and I hunted for a very long time in this area. Some places were either too expensive, or not serving our needs. Yet this one was the best. The layout is amazing. If there is one thing I would change, it would be have a side walkway gate towards westheimer. I hope they don’t increase my rent here. LOL

I lived here from May 2013 to May 2014. The grounds are really pretty, and I loved the brick. The location was SO convenient! Truthfully, I miss this place, even though I love my current apartment. But such is life in a city like Houston where a job change dictates a necessity to move 50 miles across town.
Now to the bad, of which none of it was a deal breaker. Parking was BAD… If I came home past 7pm on a weekday, I had to park on the other side and walk through the pool area. My apartment was on the ground floor, and I had rolly pollies. They are harmless, but I had actually never seen or heard of a rolly polly before until I found them in my apartment. When I was bored, it was fun to flick them around and watch them curl up and roll.
After about 6 months, I developed a roach problem. It was contained to the plumbing, meaning, I only found them in sinks and the tub. They were the tiny German cockroaches. I tried everything, I mean everything, to make them go away. The lady who lived next door to me had the same problem. Eventually we discovered that if we poured boiling water down the kitchen sink drain a couple times a month, it would kill them at the source.
I know, you’re probably thinking «bugs and parking was a nightmare, why did she like this place.» Well I’m from Florida, home of the Swamplands, so I don’t freak out at the sight of bugs. I know it’s a necessary evil to living in a humid area. The apartment itself was really pretty, and I loved the layout and the separate office room/​area. I also loved how close I was to everything! I’m in Clear Lake now, and while Clear Lake has its perks, it’s nowhere near as convenient as living right on Westheimer.

We’ve only been here a few weeks but so far things are fine. Yes, I’ve seen cockroaches outside on the sidewalks but so far not inside. There is dog poop everywhere which is sad because the property has bags in a few places to pick it up. The fire alarm is too close to the oven and does goes off easily. Those are the cons. The staff is helpful, friendly and everything can be done online. They should add trash cans around the property to help with the trash issues others are complaining about. We aren’t staying long so I don’t mind the little issues but long term I can see how it would be a problem and annoying especially not fixing the hot tub.

I have lived here 1 ½ years. The maintenance staff is professional and very efficient. The office staff are wonderful and plan fun events for the complex. I knew I had made a good choice in apartment complexes. It has felt like home from day one! Love the other residents in my building.
