Pho Trang

Bahn mi sandwiches are mediocre, they put hardly any meat, the bread feels old and breaks all over the place, hardly any vegetables. Just not up to par, I went twice on separate occasions and just got worst every time. I paid for can sodas which were behind the counter and get this! I had to wait to receive them while waiting 10 minutes on my sandwiches. Last but not least, the place reeks of cigarettes! Really BAD! They

This place used to be great. However the latest owners are terrible. Here’s how they messed up.
1. Took to miss to get our food. The place was not packed.
2. Ran out of the proper noodles for phở. Did not tell us, but we heard the waiter speak with other customers about the issue.
3. Told the other customers that the substitute noodles would taste the same. It did not. They used clear noodles.
At no time did anyone bothered to tell us that the food was going to be late and with substitute noodles.
Only after I went to pay, did the cashier utter some half hearted apology.
tl;dr used to be good, not anymore. Take your chances.

This used to be my favorite for phở, then I guess owners were changed. Last time I got to go order I was charged $ 4.50 for extra meatballs (other places extra meat is like 1.50−2.50) and when I got home I didn’t even get them. Since I love this place so much I gave it one last try and decided to eat there, the lady that took my order did not speak very much English. It was very frustrating, she had to get the cook from the back to help. Not Coming back for sure… in search of a new place.

Not good not bad. Just bleh. The price for what you get was very disappointing. I would say overrated. Kinda wasted my time. The utensils are on the table just sitting there. I should have known the good reviews are over a year old while the recent ones are of questionable service.

I think the owners have changed since we came here last. The phở tasted old with no flavor. All we got was bean sprouts (and they were old and brown), and NO greens for the soup. The service was not great — the waitress brought our spring rolls after we finished our soups (we declined them). It looked like she was back there making them herself, which would not have been a problem except that I had noticed she had fake nails and they were dirty underneath, and she was not using gloves to prepare the food. I’m so sad and disappointed because this place was near our home. We’ll be going to Phở by Night on Bellaire from now on. Their phở is delicious.

They had some amazing fried eggrolls which I would definitely go back for however their phở was not the best that I’ve had no flavor to it really. I order to go and ended up adding some seasoning once I got home. However, I would be willing to go back and try another one of their dishes.

Ok got the combination rice, chicken, shrimp, sausage and egg sounds delicious right? Yeah I thought so too first the thing come in this small ass container half filled, then they only gave me 2 shrimp, chicken wasnt even ¼ of a breast and chopped up so finely that it camouflaged itself withe the eggs. The sausage was minced so thin pretty sure it was from a small piece!!! Not impressed and will never set foot in this restaurant again!!!

The food is really good here, and the staff is very nice. I usually get the combination rice platters and some egg rolls when I visit. The food tastes the way it should tastes, there isn’t anything that makes this place best viet food in town, but the prices and taste is very well worth your visit. I don’t live too far from here, and it sure beats driving to bellaire to get some viet food. The owner is very sweet and likes to get feedback on their food, which is always a positive sign that they want to cater to our needs, or that they want to hear how much we liked their food. Haha. Bottom line is no doubt I will be back, and munch on their meals!

Love this place. Phở is bomb & they have a lot of variety on their menu. It doesn’t seem like it gets a lot of business because it’s a small mom & pop shop. But mom & pop shops have the best tasting food. Food ⁸⁄₁₀. Service ⁸⁄₁₀.

I love phở period so automatically already great with me. Not the best but still pretty darn tasty !! I love the quiet and cleanliness of the place even if it was just a hole in the wall kind of joint, and considering it was next to a bar you’d think it would be loud. But me and my boyfriend went in around 9 ish on a Saturday and the place was empty but that didn’t stop us from enjoying yummy food !!
I ordered the spicy beef soup. It was spicy plus I added the jalapeños but mix it with some bean sprouts and limes and it’s like magic. Spicy enough to burn but enjoy at the same time. I split a pork Bahn mi with my boyfriend and it was okay. It tastes like any other good bahn mi I’ve tasted so I guess I can’t complain.
Service was great but it did take a little long. But then again I can wait for great food any day :)

Great phở place with chill vibes and a comfortable environment. Prices are good and the service is top-​notch. Highly recommended for someone on the hunt for some delicious phở!

Loved it!!! Only phở I eat around Houston! I love the white chicken phở and the chicken spring rolls!!! Amazing Vietnamese food. This restaurant has changed owners and isn’t the same:(

The food, prices, and service here have never disappointed! I always come with family and always leave satisfied.
I ordered their Spicy Beef Noodle Soup the first time and was extremely satisfied with the flavor. The broth tastes like it has been brewing and is real, not like other places that fill their broth with a fake base and dump a lot of MSG in the broth. The beef here has the perfect lean meat to fat ratio. The vegetables and noodles compliment the soup too. Very delicious noodle soup!
I also ordered shrimp/​pork spring rolls that were amazing with their peanut sauce. Their peanut sauce is hot and makes the flavor stand out that much more.
When I went a second time, I ordered their Chicken Noodle Soup and happily satisfied again. The broth tastes real and amazing! Their bean sprouts and basil complimented the dish so much. I LOVE their food!
Everything about this place makes it definitely worth it. The prices are amazing so give this place a try!

Not the best Phở I tasted but good service and food is delivered in good time. The prices are good. The broth could be better but it’s has near decorations place inside! It’s mostly meh.

Phở Trang is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in town and it’s so close to home. I usually order Chicken Phở and spring rolls and I am never disappointed with the taste, quality, and portion of the food. I even had how my aunt try Vietnamese food for the first time and she fell in love with it. One more thing, they truly value their customers and their time. I have always ordered to-​go and my food is always ready on time, so no waiting forever. The people that work here are friendly and very polite.

Good service. We had Phở, pretty decent, broth was a little bit sweet. Would come back though.

I usually go with the Phở but tonight I got the grilled beef noodle #58 along with my usual and it was amazing! If they were still open I would go back for seconds, maybe thirds! Love this place!

Just spent $ 52 there! I live so close to this noodle house. This place rocks. Tiny little place easily overlooked. They have rare beef phở to vegetarian phở on their menu. We ordered vegetable egg rolls, spring rolls, rare beef phở, seafood phở, and grilled pork rice plate (my friend’s first time there so I wanted him to have a good impression of how awesome it is). They served us fresh squeezed lemonade and iced Thai tea. Plus tons of leftovers. I love all the fresh vegetables they add.

The food is amazing here! It’s so hard to find veg beef phở and they do it well! Lemonade is fresh and very good– I suggest asking for little ice and take your time because it is pricey but so worth it.
Would of gave 5 stars but the lemonade was pricey and I wanted another cup.

I came here once long ago and remembered the veggie phở being pretty good. We decided to stop in here again on the way home from a weekend outing. So glad we did.
The place is sort of bleak, so don’t take your first date here. But once you are in the mood to just go for good Phở, then make your way on over. It’s clean inside, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not a place that’s going to be known for its décor and ambiance!
Service is average … so won’t complain or compliment about that area.
But the Veggie Phở is the best I’ve had in town. It’s loaded with fresh veggies and tofu. I order this at so many other places and all you get is rice noodles and tofu with some onion (boring). I will remember it from now on and when I’m craving my Phở — this place is where I’ll go. My man and little one love the Phở Ga too!
