The manager Meccan is a joke and very un-​organized and un-​reliable. I made a big mistake and bought a car from hertz on katy freeway when it broke down a week later they said to take it to pepboys on clay and hwy 6 for meccan to check it. After going back and forth between the 2 places meccan said he ordered the parts i needed for my car but luis from hertz has not aproved the repair yet. I went on tuesday when meccan said the part would be there so i could pay for it and only have to deal with hertz. When i got there meccan was off so i talked to the assistant john and he re checked the car because it was getting worse as i was there waiting he found out that meccan did not ever order the part and if he did it would have been the wrong part. John then ordered the right parts got them in 1 hour got luis from hertz to aprove the work and my car was done the same day. I reccomend anyone who goes here to talk to john the assistant manager he get the job done!

If you are in need of a good honest shop run by people that are going to do everything possible to ensure you are a satisfied customer then this shop is the place to go.
My car broke down in Katy and they got me a cheap tow to their shop and diagnosed the problem very quickly.

So I’m here today. Isteve Acosta is the manager here and is the best manager I’ve ever met. Unfortunately he was out of town this week and I’ve sat and listened to call after call people ask for him bc he genuinely cares for his customers. matts at the front desk too and he rocks as well, he’s always in a good mood and friendly to EVERYONE. I like it here, I would recommend it. They r fixing my alignment today and they were very honest about everything. I recommend u get your alignment at this location. Hopefully if u come here u will meet steve or matt, both are sunshines to your day. Go pepboys! I used to not like y’all but I like this location thanks to great management

This place is AWFUL!
They tried to tell me some crap for a lightbulb change.
Something about lifting my car, taking my tire, and taking off my bumper which would of cost me $ 200.
I know I’m a girl but dang! I’m not that stupid!
I do have common sense!
I went to another mechanic an charge me like $ 5 bucks! (I bought the lightbulb myself) (& didn’t do all the crap he was talking about! He literally opened it underneath the fender and Tada!)
The guy also got an attitude with me when I said I would take it somewhere else!
I would give this place zero stars!
They also tried to pull some crap that I had to buy two light bulbs instead of 1.
Also, this place has a hidden review that was blocked by Unilocal! (He gave it a 1 star btw)

I have been going to this location for about 2 years. I’ve established a great relationship with the manager and workers at this location. I’ve gotten new tires & brakes and not to mention my every other month oil change. The service is awesome and they always take good care of me. I’m from Oklahoma and I moved to Houston all by myself I don’t know much about cars. I’ve always felt safe to take my car here. People have always told me to try different car shops, but I’m very loyal to pep boys and they treat their customers great!
