Neon Boots Dancehall & Saloon is Houston’s LGBT country and Western dancehall inside the Historic Esquire Ballroom.
Neon Boots is not only a Gay bay, we are a bar for everyone, we don’t discriminate and we ask that you don’t either. We are located in the historic Esquire Ballroom, the place of legends like Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline, George Jones, Charlie Pride, Ernest Tub, Jim Reeves and many more.
We offer free parking and daily Happy Hour from 4pm-9pm daily. We have many events such as Bands, Karaōke, Bingo, Steak Night, Free dance classes on Thursday nights, and much more! Saturday nights we have a $ 5 cover from 9pm-1am. We prefer you come country (cowboy hat & Wranglers/Cinch jeans), but come as you are. It is a very casual and laid back atmosphere. Shoes are required.

History
Established in 2013.
The once thriving ballroom known as the Esquire Ballroom is now Neon Boots Dancehall and Saloon. Built in 1955 by Raymond Proske, the Esquire was home to many well known act of the 50s, 60s and 70s. Most notable is Willie Nelson. Another well know performer was Patsy Cline, in fact the Broadway musical «Always…Patsy Cline» takes part in the historical bar. any other infamous acts performed at the club including, George Jones, Charlie Pride, Jim Reeves and many more. Neon Boots has set aside a separate bar dedicated to this history called the Esquire Room. The room showcases various performers and Esquire memorabilia.
Since the Esquire closed in 1995, it has been several other ventures and bars that have come and gone. The new owners have completely restored the building and upgraded its features. The new dancehall features a huge dance floor and performance stage, six bar stations, table service, expansive outdoor area with deck and patio. The owners also anticipate

Kevin is one of the partners that currently owns Neon Boots. The current owners had a dream and after their old bar was closing they decided to open a gay country western club in Houston, TX. Kevin and the current owners hope that Neon Boots can be a place where everyone can have a good time, make friends, and enjoy life.
