Specialties
Counseling for grief & trauma
History
Established in 2003.
I started my practice in a converted home in Montrose more than 10 years ago after working as a Crisis Intervention/Family Liaison for Memorial Hermann Hospital’s Neuro ICU. Within a couple of years, I had moved my office to the Rice Village area, finally ending up at my current address in 2008.
My office is welcoming, with a comfy sofa and a fireplace. It’s my goal to maintain a safe, warm, and supportive environment, so that you can be as comfortable as possible working with me. I try to ask the right questions, watch for patterns, and help you understand the connections among your experiences, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
My preference is to provide individual counseling focusing on grief and trauma, however, I have clients with a variety of issues and concerns: depression, anxiety, abuse, and marital/relationship issues. When you call, we can briefly discuss your reasons for seeking counseling and I will let you know if I can help or will refer you to someone who can.

Business Owner
I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Masters Degree in Psychology in December 1998, with a specialty in Health Psychology. I spent two years working at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Neuro Trauma ICU doing crisis intervention and physician-family liaison, and assisting with end-of-life services. I opened my private practice in 2003 and have been providing grief and trauma services to adults since then.
