Had no ac for about a month now, we had one guy out and repaired it and something was still wrong. Here comes in moreland, they completly fixed the problems the last guy did and kept me laughing with Aaron and Bennett’s comical exchanges about how the guy completly botched the job, they explained to me what he did and what was done by them. Really should have called them first but there someone to definitely hold on to.

A year ago our AC broke and Moreland replaced the coils. This year we had the AC inspected and it was low 3 lbs of Freon with no signs of leaks. Obviously the guy who replaced the coils didn’t fill the AC all the way. The AC guy who told us the Freon was low called his boss and they told us the only way to fill the Freon for free was to have the guy who installed the coils to come out and do it. We didn’t want to wait for that to happen so we had to pay the guy who was already at the house to fill the coils (he did give us a small discount) even though the reason it was low was a poor job by a Moreland employee last year.

Used Greg and Moreland A/​C again last week for some problems with the main A/​C drainage. He came out on schedule to fix the problem and advised me on preventative measures. Price was reasonable and will definitely keep using these guys.

Mr. Moreland was contacted by myself on a Monday morning about my company’s A/​C going out. Mr. Moreland had his worker, Gregg, come out the very same morning. Mr. Moreland and Gregg are very responsive and both have great customer service skills. I would recommend them highly to all my friends, family and business associates. We are definitely using them going forward for all of our A/​C and heating needs!

AC started blowing not-​so-​cold air, so I started looking at places to call. Moreland looked like they had decent reviews and I would have to agree with the ratings.
I called first thing in the morning and they were able to schedule me for a same day appointment. I explained the issue and they said it was probably low on Freon. Aaron, my technician, came out and called to get my approval before he proceeded with any work.
Fast, great communication, and very easy to pay with a credit card.

Had my AC serviced this evening by Greg. Excellent service, honest and up front just like the first time I had them in my home. Moreland AC & Heating are my go to AC guys for life!

Called Wed and scheduled an AC check– i had no air flow but the unit outside and the thermostat would click on. I asked him to come out on monday and he let me know that he works on Sat! Nice surprise!
He came by and checked for leaks and took a look at the indoor section. Of course the unit suddenly starts working before he gets there, and he couldnt find anything wrong with it, but told us that he suspected the motor was dying, and that we could replace it now, or wait till it completely dies. We opted to wait until it completely died– wich was a whopping 3 minutes after he walked out the door. I ran out to see if he was still parked out front but he had already driven away, Gave him a call and he chuckled and came back to take out our old motor so he could order a new one. He gave us our check back and told us it would just be one bill at the end of the repair– the fee was put towards the repair.
Monday afternoon he came by and he completed all the work on less than an hour! The repair was less than 300 including labor. We were weary about finding someone to do our repair, a lot of people out there use these opportunities to take advantage of people– we did not want to be pressured into a new unit just wanted a simple repair, and thats what we got. Good work, an honest man.

I had Moreland out to address an AC problem where they had to add freon to my AC unit They also identified the the likely root cause of a leak with my AC coils. While the repairman was nice he said he would have to call me once back at the office with the estimate to fix the issue. He never called me back & when I called for the estimate they said they would have to come out & charge me another service fee. I feel they misrepresented themselves and were out to bilk as much money from me as possible. I’ve moved on to other service providers.

I highly recommend Moreland A/​C & Heating. As rental property owner /​managers we are always on the look out for trades to use that we can trust and offer great value.
Its very important to us that our tenants receive fast solutions to their heating and air needs. We have used Moreland on several occasions and have been very satisfied with the results.

AMAZING SERVICE!!! Our A/​C stopped working Saturday morning on Labor Day Weekend, I called their office at 8:37 to no answer, but received a call back 2 minutes later from the owner. He got me in contact with Gregg, my service tech. Gregg was at my house by 9:30. I was fearful that I was buying a new A/​C. He determined that it was only the capacitor but didn’t have the part with him. He temporarily got the A/​C running to make the house comfortable and ran to get the part. He was back and fixed it by 10:45! He was even nice enough to give my neighbor a jump. I will not be calling another A/​C after my experience with them. They are now my go to A/​C company. I can not say enough about the customer service and professionalism exhibited by Gregg and his company. It was enough to make me post this review within 20 minutes of his departure.

I called these guys after reading reviews on Unilocal.Bill was the initial person I talked to. He was professional and nice. I explained to him what my problem was and long story short, i asked them to come out and take a look at my A/​C to give me a quote to replace the outside unit. They came without a problem and on time. The only problem is that I was not aware of a service charge of $ 65 for them to come to just take a look. If Bill would have told me that I would not have called them and would simply get a quote on the phone. I was disappointed that I had to pay $ 65. The service guy who came out (Greg) was nice. He said he told me over the phone about the service charge but I did not hear him. This probably partially my fault this time. In any case, service was provided. They gave me a quote but i decided not to go with them since I found a better pricing elsewhere. I’m giving a 2 stars because of the service charge misunderstanding. If not, I would have given them a 4 stars.

I found this company online when looking for A/​C companies with good reviews. This is the 2^nd company I called to address my A/​C problem on a Friday evening, the 1^st one was too busy to help stating that weekends are their busiest time and they couldn’t come out until Monday or Tuesday of the following week. Moreland came out in 45 minutes and immediately knew what was wrong with my A/​C. My husband and I were very impressed with their professionalism, their turnaround time, their quick assessment of the problem and their price. This is the 3^rd A/​C company I have used in the past couple of years and the one I have been most impressed with. I would definitely use them again if I need future A/​C repairs, which I am sure I will. The technician that came out to our house was Gregg, as he was great!

The a/​c in our older rental house went out on a Sunday afternoon. It would run for a bit and then just shut off. We checked thermostat batteries and the breaker box and everything was fine. Great, it’s Sunday, this should be fun. I called around a few companies and Moreland was the only company that had a technician available on a Sunday to come out. John Moore and ARS Rescue Rooter did not, although they claim ²⁴⁄₇ service. I spoke with Gregg and he showed up within an hour of me calling. Awesome! He diagnosed the problem as a faulty motor blower, a part which he could not pick up on a Sunday evening understandably. After a rather warm night, Gregg showed up the next morning at 9am and replaced the part. Hooray, a/​c is back! I would highly recommend Moreland for your a/​c troubles. Gregg was knowledgeable, friendly, able to come out on a Sunday evening and their prices were fair. I will definitely be using Moreland for any other A/​C issues. Call these guys before you call anyone else.

After reading the reviews here, I decided to call Moreland. I had a little trouble getting through to them on a Monday after my AC started blowing room temperature air (and it was high 80s outside). But I did get through and later on the owner called to make sure someone had gotten back to me, so no issue there. the technician came out on time as promised and immediately diagnosed the problem (faulty capacitor) and fixed it within about 15 minutes. He also checked the freon levels while he was there. Same day service and my house was a comfy 76 degrees not long after. I’d highly recommend Moreland and will be using them again myself in the future.

I just came back from visiting my mom and sister in Chicago to find that our AC was working on and off. We thought it might be the thermostat as the unit was cooling when it would decide to run. I looked on the Unilocal website at the advice of my sister and found Moreland AC & Heating had five star reviews. I called and got a prompt response and set up an appointment for Friday morning. The tech Greg was here ahead of schedule, a very polite and knowledgeable young man and discovered that it was just the power wire that had vibrated loose on the upstairs unit. He also checked my freon levels and made sure that everything was working properly and also provided a part for my husband for his shop fan. The total charge was $ 85.00, of which $ 65.00 was the service call and $ 20.00 for the part he sold my husband. Needless to say in this world of rip-​offs and greed it is very refreshing to find there are still some very honest people in this world and this family business surely fits that bill. I will be distributing their business cards to family and friends…
I also had a experience with John Moore (like Meredith M’s review states) this past winter when they tried to sell me a computer for my furnace/​AC when the heat would not come on, estimate $ 1,325.00 real cost $ 200.00 plus $ 100.00 for installation…(this was done b y a friend of ours not Moreland), John Moore figured I would go for that deal since the furnace was not working and it was going to get somewhat cold that night… STAY AWAY FROM JOHN MOORE, they also told me the unit was improperly installed but has been working for 4 years… that must be their standard line… they provide a FREE estimate so they can sock it to you in the repair.

After our AC starting dripping out of the side of our town home and wasn’t staying cool, we called John Moore to come take a look. Their sales person, oops, I mean repair man, starting spitting out different scenarios of what could be wrong…“if I clean the line, it could be $ 600, if I replace the coil, it could be $ 3200.” He eventually told us that my ac unit had been installed incorrectly 5 years ago when the home was built. After we said that the ac had worked perfectly until now for the fourth time and he talked over us again and again, we told him we would think about it. After 5 seconds of brief thought, I came inside, checked Unilocal and called Moreland. They came the next morning, cleared the line without even discussing it, and said the unit had frozen up when we ran it too hard after being on vacation. He de-​thawed the unit, cleaned the coil and charged us $ 230. A bit better than being ripped off to the tune of $ 3200.
I would recommend them to anyone and will keep them in my honest repairman file forever.

A/​C blowing warm air this morning so gave them a call. Bill arrived at around noon so I didn’t have to suffer too long in the July heat. Diagnosed and fixed the problem within the hour for 160.00. These guys are honest and efficient. Thanks to Shawn P. and Mr. M for the Unilocal reviews leading me to Moreland’s. Will definitely call next time we have a problem.

I had a guy from Moreland AC come out last Saturday to clean my evaporator coil. I pulled a stupid by running my AC without a filter for a few months. As a result my coils collected a bunch of crap, thus my AC was running almost non-​stop and my small house rarely saw temps below 78.
He arrived close enough to the scheduled time, climbed up into my attic and was able to clean the coil IN PLACE using some type of liquid in a small sprayer. I must emphasize how great it is that he could clean it without draining the AC refrigerant, cutting copper lines and removing the entire coil for an outside cleaning. That’s a job that cost at least $ 400, typically more. His work cost me less than half that and worked perfectly.
He also pointed out an issue that I already knew about regarding a vent on my heating system. I’m planning to have my land-​lord take care of it but it’s good to know he was able to spot it and warn me.
Although my job was pretty small I didn’t get ANY BS or shadyness from Moreland. I’ll call them again if I need to.
