Max is very trustful and honest person. I have experienced many autoshop and he is the one of the best.

Took my car in today for an oil change, my mother and I were on our way to do some shopping and Unilocal said they had quick service so I took a chance. Sure enough I was out in about 15 minutes. While the service was fast I’m not so sure I’ll be a returning customer. The place was pretty filthy and wreaked of cigarette smoke like some of the other reviews mentioned, there was dirt and leafs all over the floor and the once white ceiling fan was covered in dust. I would have normally waited outside but it was cold and drizzling. Also I though it was odd I was only given a register receipt, no invoice? After it was all said and done it was $ 65 only $ 1 cheaper than my regular place.

I came here this morning on 12÷7÷15, I called around 9am to see if they could take me in around 9:30 for an oil change, the guy answered with a pleasing attitude. By the time I came, he took my keys and sent someone to take care of it for me, and then I was I and out in about 20 minutes, had a chance to check out my car saying my brakes needed to be changed too. Service was great here, quick, good prices, and to the point!

Max is the man. For any car troubles I go to him no matter how small or how big my car issue is. 5+ years as a customer

Went in for a vehicle inspection and had a short wait. Max took my keys and insurance and had my vehicle inspected and back to me in about 15min. Even took the time to talk about the changes in the law for registration and inspection.

The only good thing about this place is that the inspection was quick and cheap. I won’t go back though because the place was so dirty and smelled so bad of cigarette smoke. I had my kids with me and I closed the door to their little office so my little guy wouldn’t go in and you could see a big ash tray with tons of cigarette butts. Cigarette smoke inside? Come on, that’s just gross. The pictures don’t show how dirty and dark the place is. I don’t expect any car place to be clean but a quick mop and some air freshener would go a long way. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.

Searched for an oil change on Unilocal and came here around 4:30 after work. Quick service and great prices. For once I don’t feel like I’ve been lied to and cheated out of my money. While I was there another customer came in with more complex car issues and she seemed to be a happy customer.
I highly recommend this place for your oil change needs.
And bonus! Synthetic blend is standard service. If you don’t specify, that’s what you’ll get.

Honest shop, very knowledgeable people and the mechanic work they do is good. Waiting area needs to be remodeled but that’s minor compared to the work they do… Need more shops like this in Houston and Katy too.

Most honest auto service in Houston or that matter, anywhere in USA!!! You should definitely take your car there!!!

I am sure when I go in for bigger service needs at some point this reviewer will make this place a 5 star garage.
I was only needing an inspection sticker for my new truck. The mechanic I had been taking my old truck to did not offer this service. So I took to Unilocal and this place was close and highly recommended.
It took all of 20 minutes to get the inspection. Max was the friendliest and nicest fella. I could have stayed and visited with him about my new truck for quite a while.
It’s not the cleanest waiting area. If you are looking for a nice lounge to wait in or free coffee or cable TV, this ain’t your place. If you want fast, friendly, dependable mechanic service I am thinking this could become my new go to place.
I liked my former mechanic and it was more convenient to my house. But I am not as comfortable knowing they are taking my vehicle for service and then farming it out to another garage for the actual repair. I know the work will be done here on site by the owner and the mechanics he employs.

Love Max and his crew! He’s extremely knowledgeable and he always tries to find the answer or the best solution for me. Very down to earth guy who is not out to take your money. Best mechanic ever! When I had problems with my Honda Accord 97, he would check it out thoroughly and let me know what repairs I needed and for the best pricing, even if it was not with him. Afterwards when I finally decided to trade in my car, he even recommended car types, etc or things to watch out for when I buy another car. Thanks, Max!

Max is the man. I bring my own oil and filter to get an oil change so he doesn’t make much money off of it but it is always fast and he is always friendly. Always feel like price is fair and he is honest.

Max at Lube N Sticker Max is the best! He is very approachable and, as other reviewers have suggested, is neither pushy nor dishonest– which is something that I recently realized is quite rare. Today, Max’s mechanics were able to fix a problem that two other mechanics had failed to discover. He also recommended another repair at an extremely reasonable price. I will definitely be coming to Lube N Sticker Max for all o my car needs.

So, I had an issue with the bottom of my car. I took it to two location to compare the prices. The first location took a brief look, then said it would be about $ 290 with 3 days of needing to hold onto the car. I then went to Lube N Sticker Max. He drove the car above one of those enormous mechanical devices to lift the car. His mechanic took a look at the bottom and spent about 10 minutes fixing the panel and putting in screws. Afterwards when it was finished, Max just handed me the keys and said it’s done. I asked him how much was it. He said, no worries. It was just some screws. I was in awe! It’s rare to see a honest business, and one that wouldn’t even take money when they deserved it. He is a very friendly guy who definitely works very hard and is very efficient! Would recommend this place a million times.
The ONLY small downside was how difficult it was to find the hours online. Thus I’ll just post them here (Note: it may change from my post).

Max is such a friendly guy and always strikes a conversation with you. He’s not like a firm business kind of guy… very approachable. I always go here for my car oil change and he does a great job letting me know if there is anything else of concern.
Best part is he does things super FAST and efficient. He doesn’t waste your time by asking if you want to do any extra things for your car. He’s straight to the point and efficient! Will definitely be going here as long as I’m in Houston!

I had my state inspection done here today. It was the fastest and friendliest service I have ever had for a state inspection. I will be coming here from now on.

Took my Lexus here last week for an oil change, the service was fast .The owner Max is super friendly and very honest. I have also taken my fiancée 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix Gtp for fuel pump. He called us that it needed drive belts and pulleys. The total was way cheaper than if we had taken it to the dealership, so thanks Max.

Max is really everything I ever wanted in a mechanic. Just like other reviewers mention, he is a hard-​working, honest guy, and seems to take genuine concern for his customers and their vehicles.
Max gave me a detailed explanation of everything that needed to be repaired on my 4-​runner, including taking me under the hood as well as under the car to actually show me where the problems were. I didn’t feel like he was trying to blow me off, or go over my head with technical mumbo jumbo, like many other mechanics have.
After he replaced the parts, he showed me the old parts – yeah, they needed replacing lol. As far as price goes, I paid MUCH less than what I had been quoted at other places… like $ 300 less. I really can’t imagine ever taking my car to another mechanic.

My friend’s have been taking their car to this location for quite awhile now. I’ve been looking to find a new mechanic since I returned to Houston. I was referred to Max and I am completely satisfied. They offer exceptional customer service.
Max is really honest and does not over charge you. He assess the car’s dilemma and discusses options for you. We were able to talk about options and what routes we could go with for my shocks and struts. In the end, he did a very good job. My previous mechanic overcharged me, ripped me off and did not replace the shocks and struts he claimed to have. Max also suggested that I return to the mechanic and ask for an itemized receipt as the work he promised to fulfill had not been taken care of.
I’ve had my car for three weeks and have not had any problems. I’m glad my friend referred me here. I plan on returning again for any future problems.
