The owner was very nice, came out and had me sample a sweet kolache. I’m more of a savory guy, but it was quite good. Only problem was the kolaches were a tad dry for my tastes.

Had to choose between checking out Long John’s for the 1st time, or the chain breakfast place across the street — so glad we made the right choice! The owner was incredibly friendly and informative. He even gave us free samples of 2 different items. We purchased several kolaches — many with spinach, one of the specialties here. All were excellent. The breading was more like actual bread compared to most kolaches I have had, which was a great change of pace. The only thing keeping me from a 5 star rating was that there was a bit too much breading — I ended up with leftover bread after all the filling was gone.(Which is not to say the filling was skimpy — there was plenty of it – maybe these kolaches were bigger then most?) I will definitely go back again!

Worth a trip to try them out. Luckily I work down the road and can frequent the place. The owner is very friendly and will chat with you and usually offers you a sample of one his kolaches. Everything is always fresh and tastes awesome. Fruit kolaches are excellent. Donuts are crisp.

Now this is a sweet little donut shop. So, it looks like a hole in the wall, but the donuts are very good. I found it by entering the closest donut shop on my GPS while driving down 59. Although it was about 3 miles away from the freeway, I decided I should just be adventurous and follow my GPS. When I got there the lady behind the counter was super nice. The owner, who seems to also be the«donut maker» started talking to me while the cashier prepared my donuts. He was very sweet and asked me if I would mind tasting his special spinach and turkey kolache. I was, as I previously stated, feeling adventurous so I did it! I tasted the kolache and I liked it! it was really very good. I know I probably wont be going back since it is about 27 miles from my apartment. If I am in the area, however I will undoubtedly be going back for some donuts and kolaches!
