Lone Star Ford

I had a terrible experience! I took my car to the service department because the driver’s seat track was not working, the ac was making a knocking sound, and I wanted my suspension fixed, also the ac display panel was dimmed out, and the latch on the trunk was not working. Jerry was assigned to handle my car. Every concern that I have, he is supposed to write it down on his i-​pad. The odd thing is that I saw that some of my request he was not writing them down. I let him know again, and he still did not it down. After a week of the car sitting in the shop with no update, I call jerry and he tells me it is important that I get an alignment done BEFORE he can check the suspension parts, which was $ 100. He was trying so hard to upsale, and was not concerned about my car or me at all. After a long time of not understanding why he couldn’t just checked the parts without having to do an alignment, he insisted I hurry and make a decision because it was taking space and they couldn’t proceed on with my car. Week 2, I call jerry again because I have not receive no update what so ever. He tells me I have to wait for an inspector from my warranty to check up on the car. Week 3, he tells me that I need a $ 2400 job done on my car. New breaks, new tires, new sway bar, no bushes, and more. Turns out none of this is covered under my paid warrenty. The more they sell, the higher the commission. Mechanically speaking, after replacing the suspension parts, an alignment needs to be done again, so there was really no point in doing the first one. Jerry was not concerned about my needs as a customer, just upselling. My deepest concern was the suspension and he couldn’t do anything for me. How could I trust him with a $ 2400 job? He lied to me most of the time and made up excuses and showed attitude when I rejected at first the alignment suggestion and also the $ 2400 service job. He would tell me one thing on the phone, and then a completely opposite thing as soon as I arrived to the dealership. 3^rd week, I pick up my car and the car drives exactly the same as before I got the alignment done, the ac display panel wasn’t even checked because it was still not working, the truck latch still broken, and now the DRIVER’S seat track works, but the PASSENGER seat track DOES NOT work now; as if it were swapped. Jerry claimed that I never told him about the latch or the ac display panel, but indeed I did, he just did not write it down after I told him twice. I paid a total of $ 260 just to fix a part in the ac that would have cost 15 dollars to replace at autozone. I let him know about the seat track 5 minutes after I took off and noticed, and he said to bring it back the next day and that he would take care of it. He tried to make it seem over the phone as if I didn’t let him know that the passenger seat track was broken before I brought it in, which was ridiculous. I bring my car the next day, and turns out he closed the claim. Everytime a service claim is made to the warranty, there is a deductible of $ 100. I called the manager over and he asked jerry if I had called him the same day and said yes. He was not obligated to close it, especially if I let him know within 5 minutes. None of my request were assessed except for the ac compartment part. It’s been now 2 weeks since I left my car again, and no update what so ever. I am completely disappointed. My family has been ford loyal customers for years. This was the worst and pathetic service I have ever encountered. This is ridiculous.

I went shopping around at other Ford Dealerships and not only did I find the best price I was also treated like family. Lone Star Ford’s service excels beyond what I expected. Look for Kendall Jackson and Ted Palamera they were excellent to deal with. I will definitely recommend these two guys for a new purchase any day to all my family and friends.

Service parts department is probably understaffed. Their attitude shows. Saw one dude playing games on the phone and seemed irritated when 1^st I came in. Needed to get VIN # and went back to my car but on my return, I was happy to get the other guy; the 1^st dude was still playing games on his phone.
Picked up my part today, and was browsing the store while waiting on the service guy to find my part only to look up and see my part and receipt just sitting on the counter. It’s a small lobby area and not sure why the dude did not say it was there.
I literally picked up my part /​receipt and left without him even acknowledging he placed it there or anything.
Basically, never would consider buying a ford in the future. Used cheap fords are ok to get by on tight budget. Bad engineered vehicles, poor service

Stacey was excellent! I showed up with the VIN from three trucks I found on their site and she quickly pulled the keys and had me looking at them all. She was very good at answering all of my questions and didn’t feed me crap when she didn’t know. She got the correct info to all of my questions in a timely manner. Bobby did a great job working with me on price and explaining all the dealer incentives to me. I went with a 2015 F150 4×4 Sport. I couldn’t be happier with the truck and experience I had at Lone Star Ford. If I’m in the market for another truck I’ll definitely be heading back.

I was referred to LoneStar Ford by Jerry Reynolds at «The CarPro Show». Great guy and a fantastic radio show on the weekends. He has a CarPro list of special dealers and LoneStar was one of them. So I went there to purchase a new 2015 F-​150 XLT, a truck I have been wanting for years.
A little back ground of me:
I’m 63 years old, a decorated wounded warrior from the Vietnam era, own a successful business for 25 years, have bought many news vehicles in my lifetime, had a 2006 Hummer H3 w/​75k miles to trade in (in excellent condition) and this by far has been the worst dealership I’ve ever dealt with. It was a slow, accumulating, frustrating experience. I remained pretty cool & collected during this process thinking it would get better and «what else could possibly go wrong» right? A lot, I later found out.
So here’s a brief summary of what I went through:
* Printed out my VIP coupon from the CarPro website and called LoneStar Ford
* It took a day of leaving VM and emails to find out that Bobby Simmons was on vacation so they handed it over to Kendell Jackson after I had hunted him down in New Truck Sales
* Steve, his manager and Kendell handled this from this point forward
* Picked out my truck from their web inventory, they said it had everything I wanted but later found out it didn’t have Nav
* They said they found another truck that had what I wanted. We took 3 hours to price it out, only to find out it was the wrong truck and nearly 3k higher than the price we agreed upon and Steve (Kendells manager) began to tell me what a hit he would take if he gave me that truck on the previously agreed price (that created a heated discussion believe me)
* So the hunt began again to find another truck
* Took 4 more days to try to find the right truck at another dealer. No Luck.
* So then I changed the color and had to give up the Nav option to get my truck before all the rebates expired
* Wanted just the average trade in for my Hummer which was $ 13,126 but took a $ 1,300 hit there I took 12k (they sold my Hummer the next day)
* No additional VIP or other discounts (same price anyone off the street would get)
* Had to initiate 90% of all communications via text & emails (unbelievable communication skills)
* Wouldn’t let me talk to Finance over the phone to work on details of the loan before I drove all the way back up there to close. I hollered about it and finally was able to.
* They delivered the truck with 1 of the window shades crooked on the window, LowJack was not installed, Rubber Mats were not installed but ordered and later found out they were mailed to the wrong address
* Also gave LowJack the wrong address to come to my house later to install LowJack. The installer had to call me twice to get correct directions. LowJack office also had all the wrong info about me and the truck in their data base that was given them by LoneStar
* Once I saw the issue about the wrong address to LowJack, I contacted Lonestar twice over a weeks period and alerted them to check the address the mats were being shipped to. Never got a reply
* Final loan paperwork had wrong address, therefore my state registration was mailed to the wrong address and my loan papers had the wrong address, EVEN THOUGH I pointed that out at closing and every email that we exchanged over this entire sales period had my correct address at the bottom of every email in my signature
* Took 1 week to schedule service to fix the 1 crooked window shade, I told them to forget it, I’ll fix it myself.
The only person I dealt with that seemed to really care about handling things correctly was Libo in Finance. A week after the sale he took care of the other paperwork problems & expedited my Registration & State Tags so I could get my EZ Tag.
So it all started July 20, they delivered the truck to my home @ 9pm, July 28^th and here it is August 5^th and I’m still dealing with issues. LoneStar being a CarPro Dealer is a joke IMHO.
I just LOVE my truck though. It’s so awesome. But getting there was just another very frustrating experience. As far as I am concerned, all these Dealerships are the same. Get units out the door for as much money as they can, and forget about how big a deal this is for the buyer. It’ll be a LONGTIME before I buy a new vehicle.

I recently bought a new truck. I was pleased with my service and everyone who helped me was very down to earth and worked with me to get the best deals I could out of them. I would recommend them to a friend.

My wife recently bought a truck from these guys, and I would highly recommend this dealership. We drove to Houston to get a truck and they happened to have a great deal on a used f150. We ended up buying a ’98 ford at a great price. On top of the fair deal, the guys Woody and Robert, treated us great.
If you’re looking for down to earth salesmen and good deals, I’d check this place out.

I was involved in a 3 car collision a couple days ago and after some research and careful selection, I chose Lone Star and the front desk was friendly, staff was very accommodating.
The process was quick and smooth and I will be back to pick up my car in a couple days.

Just to get this out of the way, I am in no need of a new vehicle since I have been owning on my Soccer mom SUV game. The Boyfriend was in search of his Macho-​man, ego-​boosting, Texas man truck…
Boyfriend has been a loyal customer here for the last couple years where he has bought 4 trucks all thanks to Salesperson Allen. Allen is well known I am assuming since he was a busy man closing sales even before we got there. Since Allen was bust he asked us to go and look around to see if there was anything that catches our eye, which personally if it isn’t a sports car or a mommy certified vehicle I am not-​so interested. We looked around and I was amazed by the great service, yes most sales people wanted to jump at us for a sale but even when they were helping other customers they still managed to be very professional and simply nice. I cannot think of a single employee here that was ever rude or unpleasant, it shows that Lone Star Ford has been in business for years thanks for their outstanding customer service!
I am looking forward to coming back here for his (or my future) purchase.

Dont even waste your time here especially if your coming in from out of town. They’ll wait to fish you in then hit you with a totally different price. You’re better off with a dealer locally owned in Houston like, Tommy Vaughn Ford. After Lone Star jerking me around for over 2 hours I went down the street about 4 miles to Tommy V ford and thy closed my deal in less that 40 minutes that included the appraisal of my trade in of a 2009 F150 Lariat that they loved and Lone Star just knocked it. Oh did I mention Tommy V Ford also offered me 2000.00 MORE on the trade and saved me over another 1000.00 on the price of new F250 truck. Bob Simmons (MNGR AT LONE STAR) lacks care for its customers and more so their needs. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.

This dealer has to be the most friendliest and helpful! Even after months of buying a new truck; this guys still help me out. When I go change my oil they greed me by my name and make me feel very welcomed. Javier Perez and Milton were my sales mans and Lord did they do everything they could to
Help me get not one but two trucks! They both are Amazing sales man. We have recommended my whole family to them ans now we are ALL ONE BIG FORD FAMILY thanks to Javier Perez and Milton. We will keep recommending more people to them. :) A+

Bought my truck there 8 – 2013. The sales people were helpful and not pushy at all. The only negative was the finance guy, who was a real p***k, especially when I told him I had my own financing. I’ve had the truck back twice for minor service and they have been very quick and helpful both times, especially Cochise in service.

I bought my 2014 F-​150 XLT in April. The sales man was really great and the finance guy also. It was Ford Truck Month so I got a ton of incentives. We hasd settled on a price, trade in value of my old truck and then came a sweet surprise. They said I actually qualified for an intrest rate 2% lower than what they had thought I’d get. I like this place so far and as long they treat me fairly in the future I will be a customer for life!

I will never again purchase a car from Lone Star Ford. While the sales team/​other employees seemed nice and friendly, and they had reasonable prices, they lied to me about several things and were inconsiderate of my time.
I purchased a used Nissan from them with only mild damage and it took them over a week to repair a bumper and paint some rims. They also did a terrible job at simply washing and vacuuming the car. Not only that, they never told me the EXACT price to repair these damages and seemed arrogant when called to check on the status of my vehicle.
My sales person, Robert tried to make matters better by ensuring me when my car SHOULD be done but I felt that was a waste of time since nothing was done on time. Not to mention, after a week of purchasing my vehicle he still hadn’t put paper tags on it. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend Lone Star Ford and I’d rather pay more and have better service else where.

It is really unfortunate how the sales team views customers at Lonestar Ford… as truly nothing other than a sale.
I bought my car in April 2012. Richard, the guy in internet sales, is an absolute nightmare to work with. He lied to me on multiple occasions on what interest rate I was approved at, if the paperwork was done, and wanted nothing more than to mark me as a «sold» customer, no matter what it took. After promising me that the paperwork was done and that I qualified for a low interest rate, I went back down to the dealership. I found out that my «promised» interest rate had in fact tripled and the paperwork hadn’t even been started. After a few days, we finally got the deal worked out.
I wasn’t able to take my car home immediately, as they were having a sun-​roof put in as I requested. The work was crap — I even called the company asking them to fix it, and they never seem to call me back. The bluetooth was messed up and wouldn’t work anymore (which they did thankfully fix), but the visor has not worked properly since then, and they never put a bumper around the sun roof — so you can see the roof cloth glued around the hole.
Then, after a fender bender in June of that year, I took my car to get fixed at a great local shop from a personal friend. I had a heck of a time with the insurance company who refused to replace the bumper on the car because the car had been in an accident previously. I told him my insurance that it wasn’t possible, because it was a CPO vehicle. When I went to the shop, they showed me the damage, and mentioned that the car in fact HAD been in a previous accident, and was fixed incorrectly with the bumper screwed back on in multiple places that was made to just «hold it». So instead of replacing the bumper on a brand new car, the insurance would only cover to have it re-​fixed due to the previous accident, that was not reported on the carfax or stated by the dealer when listed as a CPO car.
Additionally, I took the vehicle in for service and found an issue with the car that was stated to not be covered under warranty, even thought I purchased a 100k bumper to bumper warranty. They mentioned that this probably occurred from a previous accident, and the warranty would not cover wear and tear on the vehicle. Unfortunately, the car was in an accident before I bought the vehicle and it wasn’t reported…
I would stay far away from the dealership. I know car dealerships are bad, but I have honestly never seen something so horrible in my life. My mother also bought her car from here after I bought mine (after I told her not to), and has had nothing but problems with them. I love Ford cars, but would never by another one from these people again! If anything, I wish I had bought my car from Carol Hernandez, as other reviewers seemed to love her — maybe I would have had a different experience. But this issue has bothered me for almost a year now — and I just had to write a review. I would do everything I could to keep someone from buying a car here! Save yourself the trouble.

I had the misfortune of totaling my beloved truck this past month. The tow truck brought my car to Lone Star’s collision center after my wreck. I honestly did not think I would be back to Lone Star once we got all of the insurance detail lined out simply because I knew that I wanted to buy a used car.
Everyone was telling me to go to Car Max so that was my game plan. After searching through Car Max’s database I narrowed my choices down to 2 different vehicles. The salesman was very helpful but being the prepared buyer that I am I wanted to price shop too. During my journey I came across some incredibly pushy and downright terrible salesmen. I had experiences where I could just feel the dishonesty in the room. It became discouraging and drove me to the point where I was thinking about just buying one of the Car Max vehicles straight out.
My BF recommended we check Lone Star Ford before I made any rash decisions. I contacted Lone Star through the Internet and salesman Mark Harris replied to my inquiry within the day. The deals he was showing me via email were brand new cars for almost the same price as I would have bought a used one from Car Max. I couldn’t believe it and had to go in for a closer examination. Turns out he went even lower than the Internet quotes he originally gave me and we cut a sweet deal. He was extremely helpful and not pushy in the slightest. You can tell by his demeanor that he knows what he is talking about and he is an honest man. I ended up purchasing my vehicle from him and I couldn’t be happier.
Mark walked me through every last detail and made me feel very comfortable with the entire process. I got everything I wanted (plus a few bonus features I wasn’t expecting) and all for the price I began my search needing. I worked with Darrin Felsner to get my financing taken care of. He was great too! Once again not pushy and told me straight up which extra insurance packages were worth it and which were a waste of my money. Mark and Darrin stayed with us until almost 11pm getting all the details together. Not once did they make us feel like they were rushing us out the door even though it was very late. This is the way car buying should be!
I am very happy with the service I received at Lone Star Ford and would highly recommend them & salesman Mark Harris to anyone searching for a new vehicle.

I bought my green machine from Carol Hernandez in 2008. My family has been buying vehicle from Carol for years. She is honest and upfront. She will literally tell you like it is, if she can do it or if she can’t.

I recently came here to purchase a new car. Carol Hernandez was a great saleswoman! Wasn’t pushy and even showed me their internal website that showed all the specials and how to get the best deal. The guy who tries to sell you all the extra plans and warranties quickly figured that I wasn’t interested and went directly to the paperwork too. I can’t say for anyone else there (since I never had to deal with them), nor can I say anything for their service department (I have yet needed to service my new car anywhere), but Carol Hernandez was excellent!
