I am not happy with my experience at Lasik Plus. At the time I set up the appointment, they could not tell me what percent of patients qualify for the $ 250 per eye. I figured the price would be more because I was told it depended on what was needed. Dr. Do called two days before the free consultation and told me less than 5% qualify, but I was not told the true price until I met with the staff for the exam. I was under the assumption the price ranged from $ 250 to $ 2000 not an either or pricing. The actual price if you do not qualify for the «Fall Special» is $ 2149 per eye. With the insurance I have I would have received a 15% discount bringing the adjusted total to a little over $ 1800 per eye. I mentioned to both the technician and Dr. Do that I felt this was a bait and switch. Dr. Do is not a friendly person and I would not trust her with my follow-​up eye care if I were to have the surgery. My eyes were so dilated that the glasses provided were not sufficient and this was a stormy overcast day. I did not feel comfortable driving. I did drive a few blocks to Costco to shop. At this point still wearing the glasses my eyes are still so dilated that light is hurting them to the point of being painful. I also could not focus. Initially I was thinking a free consultation was a good deal, but now I know the experience was just a big waste of time as well as turning into a major inconvenience that put me at risk since I had driven myself to the appointment. My advise is there are many places out there offering Lasik surgery and you would be well served to just drive on past this one. No deals here just a bait and switch.

I can not believe I have not wrote his review yet. So I head the commercial on pandora and it was free consultation and prices starts at $ 250 I was like its worth going there cause my eyes are –1. I made an appointment and went there after check up she said it’s going to be $ 2500 and would you like to do this today I was like I am sorry I am not looking to spend that much and won’t be doing this at all. She said in that case we are done and you can feel free to go home now, I said have a good day and thanks for your help and left. NOW I AM DRIVING AND JUAS GOT TO 59 FREEWAY, I couldn’t see anything couldn’t even keep my eyes open I was freaking out so I called there office and they told me I shouldn’t have left and I was suppose to take special sun glasses for there cause of some medication they put in my eyes, I told them I can’t see or drive and they ask me to come back and take glasses which I thought was very funny cause I couldn’t see or drive, I actually had to call 911 and wait for ambulance cause I thought I was gonna go blind and was real freaked out. Ambulance came and told me it’s cause my eyes are dilated that is why this is happening and just keep my sun glasses on and wait on freeway until I feel better. I waited for around 30 minutes and later started drive.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, STAY AWAY FEOM THIS PLACE.

Quite disappointed in this place. A friend had his procedure done here and recommended it, but I felt like nothing but a cash cow from the moment I got there.
I went in on a Saturday for the «free consultation.» I felt more like she was trying to sell me a vacation home vs. an eye exam. She looked at my eyes for less than 10mins, and immediately decided that I was a candidate and proceeded to tell me the cost and the free financing they offer, as well as offer to schedule my surgery.
As an informed consumer, I have been to a few places for evaluation and I brought my list of questions: pre-​op, post-​op, what to expect in surgery, etc., the typical questions one should ask when someone is about to shoot laser beams into your eyes. Dr. Do said that I need to do nothing pre-​op, and just use eye drops post-​op, and I can resume all normal activities the next day. Which, honestly, not exactly true.
The worst part is that Dr. Do wouldn’t even tell me whether I was getting LASIK or PRK, which will either blind me for a a few hours or blind me for 3 days. Call me crazy, but I said that I needed to know, and was informed that the surgeon will have to make that call. So I requested to meet with the surgeon prior to make a final decision whether to get my treatment here, because, again, laser beams are about to shoot into my eyes. Dr. Do said no, that it is not their policy for the surgeon to meet with the patient until the morning of the surgery. So again, I insisted I meet with the surgeon when he is in the office and find out what technology will be used on my eyes, to which she replied that she «pretty sure» it will be LASIK, but still refused me access to the surgeon.
Yeah, no. I am «pretty sure» I won’t be having my LASIK done there.

The clinician I worked with was friendly, patient, and enjoyable to work through the various tests. When it was time to hand me off to the optometrist (Dr. Do), the whole thing fell apart. She was rude, ill-​mannered, and her demeanor made me very ill at ease. When asked to slow down the tests so I could actually see the differences, got upset with me. I do not believe I will have the Lasik procedure done here, simply because of her.

After years of considering Lasik I finally got enough nerve to have it done. I receive promotional emails from LasikPlus so I thought I would give them a try. There website is very well designed and informative. I was able to schedule my free lasik examination online and confirmation email was sent. I went for my exam and everything went good. I was greeted immediately, I received the normal diagnostic exams, watched the informational video and meet with Dr. Do. All the staff was very friendly. For some reason I did not get a good feeling from Dr Do. I felt she performed a good exam but she seemed reluctant to answer when asked questions about the procedure. I felt like I had to pull answers out of her. I’m not letting anyone touch my eyes unless I understand the process so I found this odd. I asked how did they determine the lasik prescription was it based on my eye exam, the scan of my old glasses or what. Dr. Do’s response was it’s based on alot of things. That answer was unacceptable so I said what things specifically. She finally answered and became more informative after I expressed my concern. After all of that I decided that I would schedule the appt for Lasik. Dr. Do told me to come back because one of the scans taken of my eye was not good. I scheduled a followup appt and here’s the problem. I report to the scheduled appt on time and now I see the true faces and demeanor of LasikPlus. The once very helpful front desk clerk said have a seat and someone will be with you. After waiting on a room for @45 mins the scan was done and I was told I had to see Dr. Do. I forgot to mention that during my initial appt Dr. Do told me this followup would only take 15 mins so I did not schedule my day to spend over 2 hours there. Anyway, I was there waiting for two hours and never seem so I decided to ask to reschedule my appt. I was told they did not have another available appt for @7 days and I could just continue to wait. No way, there were maybe 4 others waiting to see Dr. Do before me. I think LasikPlus is great initially to win your business but after that they lose sight in maintaining a business relationship. I’ll find another Lasik center and hopefully they will do a better job of acquiring and maintaining my business. There’s a free parking garage attached to their building. The office was clean.

I can honestly say this was a miracle. I have or should I say «had» horrible vision. It was about –7.25 in left eye and –6.5 in right eye or in simple terms, I couldn’t see the big «E» on the eye chart at all nor anything 3 inches from my face. Yep, that bad. I had the surgery done yesterday and today during my check-​up I have ²⁰⁄₂₀ with both eyes. Absolutely amazing. I can’t even explain it.
So, to sum up everything for the curious minds I had my free examination a couple of weeks ago to see if I was qualified. I was there for about 90 minutes like they said. The staff and nurses were very nice. I wish they didn’t dilate my eyes before watching the DVD they provided because I couldn’t see anything up close but that was more humorous to me than annoying. :-P After I was told I was qualified I made my appointment. I had to wear my glasses for 2 weeks so my cornea’s could be back to «normal» from my soft contact lenses. If you wear hard contacts, you have to wear glasses longer before surgery. They have to make sure they get the right prescription for the laser treatment.
On the day of surgery I had to wait a little longer than expected but it was very busy and I was warned earlier. Dr. Mattioli came in and explained to me what was going to happen and was very nice. First, I was brought into a room that takes your flap off. It didn’t hurt, per se. It felt like someone was literally squeezing my eyeball. It only lasted 30 seconds— for others, maybe longer but NOTHING compares to wearing hard contacts and getting dust in your eye. Trust me. I used to wear hard before switching. That feels like a piece of glass cutting into your eye. Anyway, your vision gets all dark and blurry but only temporary.
Then they take you into another room to laser your «prescription» in. That felt like nothing. All you look at is a laser. The only thing is that you smell the burning which just smells like burnt hair. But the Doctor talks to you the entire time letting you know what’s going on.
I get up and can see! It was hazy and a little blurry but I could see. I get a whole bunch of drops and some sunglasses and go home to rest. The only discomfort I had was for an hour I had some burning in my eyes. Right after it went away I just started tearing up like crazy as if I was crying but that lasted only an hour. After that, no other symptoms. My vision is awesome. I don’t really have any fluctuations. My eyes are dry but not horribly. The whole procedure really only lasted 15 – 20 minutes.
I HIGHLY recommend this place. It’s expensive but worth it. Also, my sister had it down four years ago at LasikPlus in Concord, CA and had terrific results.
