Established in 1985.

Jesse Kirkland started selling trucks in an old gas station in Odessa, TX. He soon had locations all over the state including Irving, San Antonio, Amarillo and Lubbock, to name a few. He finally settled in Houston in 1995 with the corporate office still in Odessa, TX. Jesse sold and leased trucks and trailers to many owner operators making sure they succeeded in the trucking industry. Jesse passed in 2006 but his legacy lives on. Today, we also cater to owner-​operators and love to see them succeed. We sell and lease trucks and trailers to qualified customers that have the same desire to succeed. I was 10 when my dad opened Kirkland Bros., Inc. Dad set me to work with Q-​Tips to clean out the air vents in the trucks. If I wasn’t doing that, I was answering the phones or drawing trucks waiting for the phone to ring. By 1995, I was working full time helping my dad succeed. After he passed, I purchased the business from my mom. I’m not going to say that I do everything exactly like he did, because we live in a different time. But the underlying principles and goals are the same. Put people in trucks and help them succeed, because if your customers don’t succeed, you won’t succeed.
