A quick liquor picker upper. Yeah, it’s not a Spec’s but when you are trying to fight traffic and by 610/Cutten… this is a safe bet. It might look ghetto but don’t judge a book by its cover, once inside. You can go up to the counter and tell the cashier what you would like. Not a wide selection but they have the basics. Also, the place is a lot cleaner now with new management. So. Liquor: pint of crown royal, please Mixer: 12 oz bottle of coca cola Cigarettes: sure! Camel crush please Feeling lucky? $ 5 scratch off(wish me luck) Service: friendly warm couple at the cash register :)

King Liquor is right off of 610 in the OST area, and it’s probably one of the most ghetto liquor stores I’ve ever been to. When I pulled up, I felt grimey before I even got out of the car… just from looking at it. The parking lot is just dirt, and it’s right off of the road. It almost feels like something out of a movie… where you expect to walk in and find it deserted… so you leave the money on the counter and leave. The outside of the store is covered in a thick layer of dust and dirt. I didn’t want to touch anything, and all I could think was how badly I wanted to spray the outside down with a hose. When I went inside, I saw that all of the alcohol is behind the bullet-proof glass enclosure where the clerk was, and I had to pay for my purchases through a metal drawer like you’d expect at a gas station at midnight. The employee/owner wasn’t friendly at all, and the liquor was overpriced, in my opinion. I probably won’t be back unless there’s nothing else open.
