Khanh Nguyen Photography

This review is very long overdue since our ceremony was a month ago but I needed time to sit down & do it justice.
I found Khanh on Unilocal just a month before the ceremony because we decided at the last minute not to wait for the big ceremony and instead opted for a small intimate courthouse affair with our closest friends and family. The most important thing for me for that day was the photography.
I sent out about 6 quote requests to various photographers in the Houston area but had my heart set on Khanh after seeing some of his work on his website. When he said he was available on such short notice, I literally squealed with joy.
He was very flexible with our situation; suggesting a beautiful court for our ceremony + venue for portraits after, set up a time for us to meet him before the date so that our little girl could get to know him and be comfortable around him and was so so wonderful with our people.
Neither my husband nor I are comfortable in front of the camera & I was cheesing so hard the entire time that I worried no single picture from the day would look ok but I was so so wrong. Thank God! We got so many BEAUTIFUL candid shots of the day, not just of us but also of our little girl and our family.
We loved everything about working with Khanh; his talent & commitment to his work, his personality, interactions with the guests, and how quickly he delivered! I mean WOOOOOWW!
Everyone was so impressed & my girlfriend already has him listed down for her future events.
Would we do it all over again, we would most definitely pick Khanh again in a heartbeat.
And we plan to do just that when the time comes to for our traditional and religious celebrations.
Bottom line; We absolutely adore our wedding photos, we (read me lol) look at them all the time and see so much authentic joy & happiness. Classy, real, goofy and so in love.
Everything I could’ve hoped for and more for such a small ceremony.

I would give Khanh a higher rating if I could. We used him for our engagement session and the wedding and it’s been so great to have him as our photographer. From the first moment we met with him, he’s been nothing but a pleasure to work with. Khanh has an amazing skill to capture the best moments possible and we can see that from the photos he took for us. There was something really specific I was looking for when I was trying to find a wedding photographer and he had it. He doesn’t take regular «everyone looking pretty» pictures. I wanted the silly faces and the «not so normal» and he was the only one I found that did that. Even though they weren’t normal pictures, he still found a way to make them look beautiful. He made us feel so comfortable and at ease while working with him. My husband and I are so happy we chose Khanh as our photographer and would definitely recommend him!

Khanh took care of our engagement, bridal, and wedding photos. My husband and I agree that choosing Khanh as our photographer was the best decision we made in planning our wedding. His pictures are amazing! He manages to capture the precious, candid moments that most people aren’t quick or stealthy enough to get on camera without interrupting. I didn’t have to worry at all about pictures on the day of the wedding because he was great at working with my other vendors and organizing people for portraits. Even the guests commented on how fantastic he was during the wedding. He really went above and beyond what was expected. His passion for photography really comes through in his pictures, but he is also so full of energy and enthusiasm behind the camera. I’ll definitely book him again if I ever need a professional photographer.

This review is much overdue as our wedding occured a few months ago, but finally getting around to reviewing Khanh (which I should’ve done a while back since he’s just the BEST and everyone should take advantage of his services!!! Where do I begin? I absolutely loved working with Khanh! He is an incredible photographer, with such a creative eye, and does an amazing job. Not only is he super flexible and open to ideas and suggestions, but when you work with him, he has a super calming effect and just puts you at ease. My entire family and bridal party loved working with him. We barely knew he was there taking pictures during the entire prep and wedding and the entire experience felt so natural and not intrusive. The pictures were incredible, so beautifully done and capturing the essence of our special day, with all the natural emotions and feelings coming through in the photographs. Outstanding job, could not recommend him highly enough. We worked quite extensively with Khanh — he did our engagement session, civil ceremony, religious ceremony at my parents’ and the following day, the full wedding celebration. He was always professional, on time, willing to jump in and help with anything, exchanging jokes here and there with everyone, and made us feel sooo comfortable throughout the entire process. And the best part?! He’s very affordable and can work with you based on your budget. I’d highly recommend him for any upcoming weddings (in fact, I recommended him to several friends) and I’d definitely use him again for family functions /​pictures. Absolute best!!!

We put a lot of time into researching and finally choosing our wedding photographer — and I’m so, so glad we were able to work with Khanh. The pictures are so beautiful; they’re professional and personal all at once, and exactly what we were hoping for. He knew exactly how to frame each shot we said was important to us, and still caught all of the spontaneity and personal moments happening in between. Khanh went above and beyond for us through this whole process. If only Unilocal allowed bonus stars — I’d give Khanh all of them!

Khanh did our wedding at Rice U in May 2014. He did an awesome job throughout. The pictures were incredible; Khanh has a rare eye for background and for the perfect moments to capture.
He was also friendly and professional. I generally hate being photographed, which leads to bad pictures. Khanh was so easy to work with that my camera-​shy awkwardness wasn’t a problem at all.

Khanh’s pictures are amazing! When I was planning my wedding, I did a lot of research on photographers but I kept going back to Khanh’s portfolio because his pictures really stood out. He knows how to really capture the moment and that’s what I really loved. He pictures are like pieces of art. Everyone loved our pictures and he was really great to work with! I am super happy I went with him! Go ahead and book him, you won’t regret!
