Probably one of my favorite place for jjambong. The broth is very flavorful with a nice kick. There’s no meat in there, just seafood. Next time I will request to add some pork for that meaty taste.

Who here has been wondering what other foods Koreans eat besides BBQ? ME! This place is small but the food is spectacular! The kimchi is well fermented and each small bite burst with flavor. I’ve had Korean pancakes a hand full of times and have been disappointed each time util I dug my chopsticks into the ones here. Its everything I had expected it to be and exceeded where others have failed. Crunchy in all the right places and seasoned to perfection. Korean fried chicken has had an explosion in Houston recently but I never cared to go out of my way to give it a try. They come out steaming hot soaked in a generous amount of sauce that can be poured over your rice without sacrificing crunchiness. I can sense that bonchons here are made with love, as if the chef made it to feed her family. Two stood out as I’ve never seen them served in other Koreans restaurants. First being marinated leaves which was my favorite. I can’t really describe the flavor profile since its like nothing I have tasted before. Second was raw squid. I had no idea it was raw squid until after I had incorporated it in a couple of my spoon fulls of food. It added character to each bite. The standard kalbi and bulgogi exceed other establishment so lets not go into any further detail. I let the waitress pick a dish for me since I was feeling a little adventurous and had no idea where to start. She picked octopus and pork belly stir fry. The sauce was immaculate. Not to mention that they stir fry rice and seaweed paper into the left over sauce at the end. It comes with a healthy serving of octopus. It may have even been a whole octopus; I’m not familiar with them. The main waitress has a strong and kind personality. She goes above and beyond to assure that your phone isn’t at risk since many dishes are hot pots or stir fry’s. The place is also BYOB without any fees.

We decided to give this restaurant a shot. The restaurant is pretty small and cozy, and the staff is friendly and attentive. We had a group of 6, so we ordered a good variety of dishes to try: Korean«hot pot»(budae jjigae), rice cake + fish cake(ddukbokki), sweet and sour beef(tangsuyuk), spicy fried chicken(Dakgangjeong). One of the things that was a must have was the Korean«hot pot». We ordered the one with the spam/sausage and it was delicious! It is a pretty large pot, definitely for at least 4 people if you want to try other dishes. Otherwise, prepare for leftovers! Everything tasted amazing! I like that the spicy in the food is not too overwhelming, but you can still feel the heat. The price is also very reasonable. This is definitely a restaurant I would come back to!

I just got home from this place and I have to say, it was very good! We started with the kimchi pancake and it was amazing! The texture was perfect, crispy when you bite into it, then soft with a little bite. The kimchi used in it was aged and I could have eaten it without the accompanying sauce. Then came the sweet and spicy wings. So hot we couldn’t touch them when they first arrived, but when we did, they were the kind of crunchy that only double fried korean wings could have. The inside was moist and they were not stingy with the sauce! Finally we had the bibim naeng myun(chewy spicy/saucy noodle). At first sight, this thing was huge! Easily twice as big as the competition and the same price as the smaller sized competitors. Another winner. Overall everything was great and we’ll definitely be coming back.

First time trying out this new korean spot. I tried the pork blood & vegetable soup and my buddy tried the spicey cod fish soup. It wasnt too crowded for lunch and service was great with additional kimchi and good selection of sides. Broth of both our soup was really good and i would probably be coming here more often for take outs or quick lunch.
