My mother and I were shopping together and this place has a great selection of shoes but their staff is unwelcoming and ultimately unfriendly. We walked around the shoes looking and none of the staff came over to check on us to see if we needed to try on a pair. There was another client sipping champagne and she came over and started talking to us. She then asked if we wanted champagne and motioned to the sales ladies, she was more helpful than the staff and she didn’t even work there. We bought two pairs of shoes. They were closing the doors and one of the sales ladies said«Don’t let anyone back in.» A few minutes later, a lady who wanted to come in was standing by the door and they apparently had a change of heart – I’m guessing they knew her or she was a regular. «You can let her in» they said, and unlocked the door so she was ushered in. I will be returning because the sale was amazing, but the store sucks at customer service. I guess they don’t need to be friendly when the shoes sell themselves!

great location to buy new shes. They have shoes only of good brands and quality but waaaaaay cheaper that in the department stores! The only down side is that they have only few sizes for each pair which makes harder to choose…

Hi, I’m Carmen and I’m a shoe-aholic. What can I say? I’m a girl and I like shoes. They’re pretty much the only thing that will still look good on you no matter how much weight you gain. :-) I used to like Macy’s, but then I got tired of trying to look for shoes in what appeared to be the aftermath of a tornado. So I started shopping at Nordstrom’s shoe department, which I really like, but don’t always feel like fighting the traffic at the Nordstrom parking garage. I also started realizing that the more I spent on my shoes, the better they looked and the longer they lasted, so I decided to start investing in classic shoes that would potentially last longer than a season or two, and I did this at Joseph. Joseph has a fantastic selection of designer and premium designer shoes, bags, and jewelry. It’s in Highland Village, so it’s(usually) easy to get to. It’s pricey, yes, but they have sales seasonally and you can get some gorgeous designer shoes for less than the original price — way less. The real reason I shop at Joseph, though, is because of the staff. They are *amazing* — they remember me by name; they call me when they get a shoe they think I might like or when one of them goes on sale; they offer you water, soft drinks and tea when you come in and, really, where do you get that these days? Most importantly, they are not arrogant or snooty in any way and I can’t say the same about the staff at Neimans. Bottom line: you get what you pay for at Joseph, and if you’re willing to invest in your footwear, you’ll get a great selection with otustanding service at Joseph.
